Badly enough for the INT. I’ll have to watch the replay, but Parker might have had a chance to undercut it.
I missed the first half and will watch it later, but Osweiler looking comfortable with this offense. Maybe a QB controversy? I think that pick at the end of the half was on Parker, lost inside leverage and only played the ball after it was picked. Mother****er was 1v1.
Need more than 7 points a half unfortunately. If we could have gotten a FG there it would have helped tremendously. One bad play would not have equalized the score. Now we are one **** up from being tied. Offense must find a way to score 10-14 points in the second half. On the bright side we scored in the first quarter for the first time since Jesus was a baby.
So let’s see what Miami does to adjust: I think they’re getting good pressure on D, if they can continue that and force Trubisky out and make bad decisions, it could get Miami a TO. On offense, continue running it up the middle. They’ve done a good job at keeping Osweiler clean (unusual for this team), so let’s hope that continues. Mack having an ankle injury helps. Hopefully that sucker swells up and limits his mobility for the 2nd half. Keep Osweiler relatively clean, and he can do okay. His decision-making has always been suspect, IMO, but keep him from making tosses like that one to Parker. Not an exciting game, but well-fought, which Miami has a lot of experience with. Limit those big plays by the Bears. Let’s see if Miami goes over the middle a little more in the second half when those LBs cheat against the run.
No QB controversy. Line is actually playing well, which has been the issue the entire year. I mean, Osweiler scored 7. Most QBs can play solid with a little time. Looks comfortable in the offense. Kudos to Gase.
If he is playing as a FB that would signal a change Gase made and commitment to the run I am happy to see.
The exact start to the second half we all feared. Now the offense must respond or we lose momentum in this game.
I honestly wish the NFL had college football’s pass interference rule. The NFL is basically assuming the receiver would make the long catch on the boundary... minkah committed a foul yes, but the rule needs to be changed to a 15 yard penalty
Brock did everything except point to where he was throwing on that INT. At least he is good at running down CBs? And the Bears start to pull away.....
Alright, I am done with Gase. Fire him. I was hopeful and open minded coming into the season, but when he decided that Brock was going to be our backup? That struck the wrong nerve. Brock was "his guy" like Cutler was "his guy". **** this ****. Clear em out.
