The only somewhat plausible argument I have ever heard for this crowd came from my grandfather who used to watch the A's play every night towards the end of his life. What he said was simply this, " I turn on my TV every night to watch the A's play. Then, all of a sudden they aren't on anymore. So what do I do? I go and do something else and find out that I have been wasting hours upon hours watching this sport when I could be doing anything else and be more productive."

The point is, the strike may have given people the opportunity to find other hobbies/interests that they can control as opposed to having to wait for their hobby to come to them like professional sports does.

 

If people didn't look at me weird, I would be breastfeeding now at 25...

On my way home today I encountered a redneck with a short fuse.....I was driving home and I have whats called "non" Road rage, I dont get mad I just drive like a mad man, but I'm nice about it. I was trying to pass this insanely slow minivan when this guy came flying out of nowhere and obviously was not going to let me pass, so I cut him off, all while using my turn signal, and waving like the good citizen I am. I look in my mirror and this guy is coming out of his seat flipping me off in his truck, yelling at me. Of course I just politely waved and went about my drive. He finally gets in front of me and slams on his breaks to where I just get in the other lane and pass him...once again. Now we are at a light and he is doing that thing boys use to do to me in third grade where they would pound there fists into their open hands, scary. So he proceeds to follow me until its time for him to go home I guess, he then veers off onto a side road. I bet he went home and beat his wife, all I have to say to her is, you're welcome ma'am, you're welcome.

 

I used to have bad road rage, however, my wife has managed to mellow me out somewhat, so I keep it in check as much as possible these days.

 

Yeah Road Rage is a *****. My friend and i were driving home from a Casino and accidently cut this guy off, he proceeds to follow us on (on the Interstate) flashing his lights trying to run us off the road. My buddy's gf freaks and calls the cops, they arrange to meet us at the campus police station at Florida Gulf Coast University where we lived at the time.

This ******* gets out of the car with cops present and threatens to kill us! I start laughing, the cops cuff the guy and tell him hes an idiot because we could have lead him to an isolated place and beat his ***. Pretty good stuff.

I did fell pretty badass laughing at the dude, especially since my friend Kelly (who is an MMA cage fighter) was curled up in the back seat It just shows road rage is a disease, this guy was wearing a shirt and tie and drove a lexus. Not some redneck like E encountered.

my head hurts.....i have cut my calorie intake and carb intake by about a MILLION......im doing mindwarps diet.....40 carb/1500 calorie......5 meals a day......and water.....i started monday....and as of this morning I've lost 8 pounds.....but I'm starving and gots a mean headache.....but he said it'll pass by day 4......so I'm pretty pumped about the loss.....wish I could eat more than an egg and celery stick however......
