Anything about ES6 would be welcome! CDPR is said to be there with a long presentation as well, likely about Cyberpunk 2077. I'd like to have Bioware at least say "Yes, we're working on DA4, but we're focused on Anthem right now and we'll have a lot about it a year from now" As for Sony, I read this from Push Square earlier:
I don't think Elder Scrolls VI will be a thing. My guesses for Bethesda: 1. A new VR version of an existing game, or a VR version of a game they're announcing. 2. Rage 2. 3. Starfield, along with a mobile game that ties in to Starfield. There's a slight chance of Fallout 5, but I'd honestly prefer they wait a year. They need more time to replay New Vegas to understand how Fallout works. Edit: Also, I want Doom 2. I want it badly. But I know it won't happen.
Not really expecting ES6. Just hoping that they admit it will come in the next few years. Gotta wait out their other games first, I know.
Is it unusual for Sony to not reveal their schedule for E3? They are in a comfortable spot this generation, so they can do what they want, I guess. I'm wondering what might be shown for PSVR as support has been decent, but a couple more big exclusive games wouldn't hurt.
It is odd, but I read an article this morning speculating that they don't really see value in the traditional E3 experience anymore. Regardless, even as a Sony guy, I have no interest in the games that they are talking about anyways. They're supposed to do something regarding a few third party games as well, so I'll read up on that.
Bethesda's Twitter account is posting teaser images in 4 hour intervals. Either 1 picture every 4 hours, or one picture 8 hours after the previous, etc. And there's some word play in some new leaks suggesting that people may "fall out of their seats." Bethesda may start showing things on May 14.
Dualshockers: Inticreates announces Bloodstained: Shadow of the Moon The studio that made Mega Man Zero, ZX and ZX2, and Mega Man 9 and 10, is now making an 8-bit Castlevania-like, based on the forthcoming Bloodstained game that's also basically a spiritual Castlevania. Game of the year? Yes. Screenshots at the link.
That's interesting. I don't think that I've played a Castlevania game in about 25 years, since the first one that came out for the SNES.
I wonder if Bethesda will do what they did last year and just show games that will be out later this year. I could definitely see Rage 2 and their new IP in the Fall. BGS hasn't made a game since Fallout 4.
A few other games that are supposed to be released in 2018 that I would like/hope to hear more about at E3 are the physical release/single player edition of Gwent from CDPR, and Biomutant from THQ Nordic. CDPR is going to be there at E3, so hopefully they have a section about Gwent. Hoping that Sony might have a small presentation about Biomutant.
https://www.vg247.com/2018/05/14/e3-2018-third-parties-bethesda-ubisoft-capcom-square/ This is a pretty good run down of what might be there from VG247, which has become my favorite site for video game news. Pretty extensive list.
They just released their new Tank DLC - I doubt it. Which reminds me, I haven't been prompted to download it yet and I have the original backer package that includes all DLC. I should look into that.
I heard a rumor that Red Project will finally show off Cyberpunk 2077 game play at E3 with a 1 hour presentation and demo showing FPS game play, vehicle game play, and cut scenes. Definitely has to be most anticipated game.
Yes, the Tanks DLC and ArmA 3 update 1.82 are the last publicly announced updates and DLC packages for the game. They're now switching to a "mod support" type model. Additionally, their creative leads for both ArmA 3 and DayZ have left the company. The time is ripe for ArmA 4.
Any ARMA 4 would probably try to incorporate VBS Blue which is BI's full planet real time renderer, but the GFX would be a downgrade so I am not quite sure if a) they introduce such a global scale to A4, or b) they wait for better technology. You definitely don't want A4 looking like A2 with global rendering up close. Outerra is doing something similar, as is Robert Space Industries in Star Citizen. I just don't think the computing power is there to support these global rendering in the near term. We'll see.
https://www.gamespot.com/articles/biowares-anthem-is-multiplayer-but-can-be-played-s/1100-6458866/ Bioware is trying to ease people's fears about Anthem, given that many of their customers prefer the single player experience. I'm still expecting the game to be online only though.
Rage 2 is being co-developed by id Software and Avalanche Studios. So, there's a little tiny bit of Just Cause in this game. interesting.
https://www.vg247.com/2018/04/14/biomutant-darksiders-3-skip-e3-2018/ Apparently, THQ Nordic won't be at E3 to show off Biomutant or their other games, because they want to drink beer and watch soccer instead. Even though I don't watch soccer, I can respect that.
I'm definately interested in this one. My nephew has a similar game for the XBOX 1 (though just cars) thats a lot of fun, and I've been looking for another racing game since Gran Turismo isn't playable offline single player anymore.
