I don't see any need for Brown with McMillan coming back to man the middle. Nwosu somewhat fits the prototype that we will be rumored to be using McDonald and we don't have a use for his ability as an overhang defender at the 2nd level.
If you watched him at all, you've seen more than me. I'm not much of a draft guru . . . actually that's a stretch, I'm not much of a draft guy at all. I was simply saying that with McMillan back and the talk of McDonald being used as a whip safety and screwed down vs the run in passing packages, that I don't see much use for someone like him. And I'll be frank (or Joe, or Tom . . . alright enough of my corny jokes), I could be completely wrong. What's your take?
He plays a lot on the line of scrimmage and I have only seen him in zone coverage. For some reason i feel like the dolphins want him to be a developmental defensive end. He had 11.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks. This guy can straight get after a qb. As an LB I don't see it probably in a 3-4 yea but, as a pass rusher it makes sense. Oh and no to zach brown LOL just thought i should add that in.
McMillan is a rookie 2nd roubder coming off a major knee injury and with no NFL experience. Don't know why you act like he is a surefire solution for us at Mike. I would take zach brown as insurance if I were the dolphins. People like to hate on Zach but he is better and more proven than any linebacker currently on the team. He could also play Sam for us leaving McMillan in the middle. Would be an upgrade over an over the hill Timmons.
Patience. You'll soon see why also. For the time being I don't mind Allen at strongside; 1) - He's effective, 2) We don't use a strongside backer that often to justify dumping more money into a low percentage utilized position. I'd rather us focus on finding a backer who can thrive in coverage.
