I don't really understand the fascination with Jon Gruden. He's an offensive coach who's biggest accomplishment is managing a team that was led entirely by defense. Additionally, you can't point to him having ever developed a good young QB. He's young and charismatic and that goes a long way, I guess. It seems like the NFL lacks an ability to really develop and identify quality HCs, because it's a bad look whenever everyone gets all excited about these re-tread type of guys.
Yep, he took somebody else's team to the Superbowl and gradually made the Bucs worse every year when he started trying to make it a team that he built.
