Channing Crowder has a daily sports radio talk show. The other day I was listening and one of the other hosts brought up "mumble" rap. He said it was some new form of rap music where they just mumble incoherently over a beat. Crowder asked if he meant "ebonics" and implied that he could understand what the rappers were saying. The other host quipped "That's because you have CTE."

My head started hurting I was laughing so hard.

Regular Rap tells a story. It’s about the life you see around you, about the struggle to assimilate. Listen to artists like Nas or The Roots and you hear the difference. Mumble rap serves no purpose. Normally music shows some evolution, in this case it is a regression to below zero.

Channing Crowder NEEDS a radio show. His interviews when he was a player were so great.

He's had one for years. I think he got the job not longer after he retired. His show is on AM radio 560(WQAM), 2pm-6pm m-f.
