This guy gets better every year. -Prototypical tailback size. Not too slight, not too upright. He looks like a small guy on tape but he's listed at 5-11 and slightly under 220. It'll be interesting to see what he scales at the combine. -Low center of gravity; balance -Burst through the hole -Leg churn and pad level -Shifty -Lacks that frightening homerun speed, but has a good amount of speed to make you pay. He won't outrace anyone unless they're already on their heels. -Good pass-receiving ability -Needs work in pass-protection Overall, nothing especially athletic about him, but he's a really balanced, do-it-all player. He's being hyped as a 1st or 2nd rounder. I think his range, right now, is the end of the second round or third round IMO. I really like the fact that he's gotten better each year, and the Saban-Gase connection might have him on the Phin's radar for rounds 2-3. We don't have any RB's slated to the roster in 2018-2019 except for Kenyan Drake. What do you guys think? Fair enough assessment, Invid. I have 4 backs ahead of him who are better fits for this offense: Rodney Anderson, Sony Michel, Ronald Jones, and Royce Freeman.
Thanks for sharing, Todd! I'm no tape-watcher extraordinaire, especially with a position as nuanced as tailback. I'll be sure to check out those guys you mentioned, I'm already kind of familiar with Michel and Freeman.
