Still sounds to me like Mr. Porter just doesn't want to work too hard through camp. If these reports are still floating around and he isnt practicing leading up to week 1, maybe i'll reconsider that thought.

I highly doubt that. Esp considering the first injury he had was when he tweaked his ankle while working out on his own in the offseason. I think its a real reach to assume he doesnt want to work hard.

We'll see, JP went through this crap last year, he ended up performing well enough.

By the time t/c is over, most, if not all of these guys, feel sore knees, elbows, backs, ETC...its no big deal

That whole situation just seemed weird to me, that he got hurt working out at home prior to camp, and there was no news about it, it was just a surprise to everyone when TC opened.

I don't know, it just seems to me like a classic vet move, by an aging guy, who's body isnt what it used to be, just saving his stuff for the regular season. maybe my original post came across differently.

Yeah, i found that first injury to be bizarre as well, i know the guy wants to be the leader of that young hyped defense, the players said it themselves that they felt his presense when he stepped on the field, kets get him healthy for the regular season and turn him loose

What, and waste all of this perfectly good worrying?

JP may be riding a bit of the Vet "pass" due to past performance and his contract, last season though, he still brought it as best he could IMO.

You still say this after Sparano commended how hard he was working during the offseason?
