I'm sure that's what the Jazz leaked to Shelbourne Somehow in reality I don't believe that Ricky Rubio will be the decisive factor
I wouldn't call them a mess. They are easily going to Rep the East again next year, rather Boston gets Hayward or not. I fully believe he is gone after this season. I think, he doesn't want his son to endure the same pressure he did in high school and if he sends LBJJR to Akron St Vincent St Mary then that kid will have the weight of the world on his shoulders. I think he will be Legone to the West Coast next year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This may not actually be a bad thing. The Heat also has a PG that can make plays for Hayward. The Celtics on the other hand have a scorer at PG.
Yeah i definitely think he's staying with the Jazz, not that disappointed about it because I felt he would this whole time.. i just hope we are able to talk to Danilo before it's too late but i have a feeling theyre not remotely interested.
Bam having by far his best start of the summer league with 12 points in the first quarter including a sweet euro step in the open court in transition. He's also just been bullying guys (including Jarnell Stokes) inside.
Apparently Fran Fraschilla tweeted, then deleted a tweet about Justise only being 21 and already a "throw in" in a trade and how harsh the league was. Chris Cochran of 790 managed to get a screen shot Any thoughts? Sign and trade? Something we haven't thought of yet?
Windy (I know, I know) just told Tony Kornheiser that Miami is the favorite for Hayward and that agents/players don't have a favorable opinion of Boston in that players don't believe Boston is actually all in to win with the failure to make trades etc
He didn't delete it: I have to say, I'd be a little upset if they used him as a way to dump McBob's contract just to keep Dion and JJ. It would soften the blow a little bit if we landed Hayward, but knowing what we could have gotten from Boston for him during that draft, that would hurt. Ethan also said that he thinks the Heat end up getting Hayward. Ethan obviously has good sources with the Heat, and based off of some other things we've heard, it seems like in the building, Miami feels good. They also felt good about LeBron returning, though, and felt pretty good last year with Durant, so we'll see.
Cool stuff Not sure how they "felt good" about Durant. I think they knew before they went. Same thing with LeBron. Knowing what we know now, with Mav Carter not being there, the World Cup stuff etc., they had to be uneasy
Bam with a monster game today. 29 pts, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks In the first three games he's averaging 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks. I'm always of the mind that success in the summer league doesn't mean success in the NBA, but he's been impressive. He still hasn't really settled in with his jump shot, but his energy (especially considering they barely take him out, and he's banging all game), strength, and athleticism have been great. His footwork has been a pleasant surprise.
If you listened to people with connections to the Heat (LeBatard, Skolnick, etc.), they felt LeBron was coming back. Maybe they didn't feel confident about signing Durant last year, but reports were that they felt good. People have said Durant gave them serious consideration, though, so maybe they had reason to.
I watched Bam in this game, and man, CK is right on this guy. He is addicting to watch. The only bad part of his game is his jump shot. But even that, he made free throw after free throw and his form is pristine. It will come. It's hard not to get really excited. But in a couple of years? With his motor and work ethic? He is also more explosive in his movements than I was expecting. I think that will really help him become a shot creator down the road.
Photographed? Do we have it? I saw a tweet from a guy in SD who tweeted Mike Ryan (he's a LeBatard fan) that Riley and Zo were meeting with Hayward again in Del Mar, but no idea of the accuracy, other than the guy does seem to live in SD
Per San Amick, Hayward is sleeping on it and will make a decision tomorrow So I guess we can pick it back up around noon tomorrow
All I'll say is that as someone who has switched jobs a few times if you're sleeping on a decision to leave, you've decided to leave Not saying he's coming here but I'd be stunned if he returned to Utah at this point
Wishful thinking: He's coming to Miami, but wants to give it some time in order to soften the blow to Jazz fans and make sure they know it was a tough decision. Either way, hopefully he's deciding between Miami and Utah.
I've refused to get emotionally involved in the Gordon Hayward situation but it sure would be nice to watch him and Dragic run the floor together.
So apparently the Milsap to Denver thing from two days ago that looks to be sending Gallinari to LAC, Milsap to Denver and Jamal Chuckford and 1st to ATL, presumably the first is from LAC...
One thing I'm noticing about Bam is that he sets weak screens. That should be an easy fix seeing how he is huge and fast.
While most FAs stay with their current team I find that once someone shows an intent to leave they usually do. It's like a relationship where one person is thinking of breaking up. Once one person is thinking of breaking up it's usually already over. If that person has other good options available they almost always move on. The exception is where they're just pretending to consider other options b/c they want more money. But if you're already a max player then that's not a factor.
Didnt Gordon sign an offer sheet with charlotte that Utah matched a couple years back? I think it's us or Boston.
Sec just retweeted a screenshot of Hayward's trainers follows The last one...the Miami Heat official account
Barry Jackson saying not a lot of confidence from the Heat today, but that his decision was not made yet.
