I've been taking my time with it, usually playing no more than one chapter at a time. Just saved at the start of Chapter 21 last night, so I think I'm pretty close to the end too. I've loved it so far.
Just finished. Turns out I was at the very end of the story. Came in at under 18 hours, which surprised me. I wonder if it counts all of the times you die....because I died a lot. Felt like it took as long to play through as the others, but I generally did 25-30 hours of gameplay on those. Either way, I liked how the story ended, and I liked what they did for the epilogue. Its been a favorite series for a long time, and I'm sad to see it end, but it went out on a high note. And it continued to push the envelope for gaming as a whole in the process. Now, normally, I'd eventually play the game though again on hard mode and try to pick up all of the treasures I missed and get a few more trophies, but this was hard, lol. I may not push it to the end.
http://gamerant.com/uncharted-4-single-player-dlc-news-details-628/ Single player DC not happening any time soon. Hopefully, it doesn't become a case like GTA5, where they initially promise single player story DLC, and then later decide just to do the multi player stuff instead.
It looks like The Lost Legacy expansion will be about 10 hours of gameplay long. If true, that should end all speculation that it could be its own retail game. Looks like its a big DLC expansion and nothing more.
Well, it's not DLC, it's a standalone expansion. And it's been confirmed to be sold physically as well. It's its own thing.
OK, well then it would have to meet some sort of basic requirements, even to be sold as a $20 game at the store though, I would think. I mean, the Heart of Stone expansion for The Witcher 3 cost $10 and was probably a 10-15 hour experience. It was great and fun, but I couldn't have seen it being a stand alone game. The second expansion, Blood & Wine, was more like a 20-25 hour experience, and I think cost $20, and was well worth it. You also don't see Sony retail expansion packs very often any more. They also NEVER go down in price. I remember laughing when the expansion for the first Dragon Age game cost more than the game itself due to that.
https://www.naughtydog.com/blog/uncharted_the_lost_legacy_august_22_release_date Naughty Dog today released that the game will come out on August 22, and cost $40. No real other details, so I guess we'll see. No way am I paying 40 bucks for a game thats a 10-15 hour experience, though, regardless of quality. I'll wait until it goes on clearance at the Holidays.
http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/08/17/uncharted-the-lost-legacy-review A pretty good review of The Lost Legacy. All of my previous comments can be cut and paste in, lol. IGN says that its a 6-hour experience. I take my time, so it would likely be about 10 for me, but thats not worth $40, and I don't have the time right now anyways. I'll eventually get it on clearance.
