The guy is a ***. I hate people who exploit **** like he did in what is supposed to be a 'sim' game. Play it like they would play in real football.

That's why I don't play online. People would always glitch or throw it deep to Moss or whoever (because they always pick a better team then me), then when I do start winning, they just quit in the 4th quarter. ****ing ******ed.

 

got the ps3 collectors edition....and its frozen on my 3 times....twice when i selected 'lobby' from the online menu

game feels weird...weirder than last year even...there are some framerate issues at times it seems like...it is a great looking game though, and i will play it alot.

Im kinda waiting to start my franchise until the final roster for the phins is downloadable...does that make sense? i'm too lazy to do all the work to get the team set up like we will be come opening day.

 

I don't understand why I suck so much at this game. I've been playing on All Madden from the get go since probably Madden 98 or so. I played on Heisman on NCAA and blew every team out. Seriously. I'm garbage as hell. I don't get it. Tried All Madden, sucked. Tried the IQ thing, sucked. Tried All Pro, still suck. Sucking Paris Hilton style on All Pro? WTF. I haven't even touched that mode in about 10 years.

 

Westbrook did that "in real life" last year, if I remember, and everyone praised him for his football smarts. Personally, I always thought he'd played too much Madden, which is why he did it.

My CE edition showed up today in the mail. The case is pretty cool, though they could have kept the size down if they wanted. I wish the manuals would be more secure.

 

Never buy anything from EB. Everytime I have bought a game it has failed. LAst game I got from them was Madden 08 and that cracked.

They will give you a new one if you still have the receipt.

 

I don't remember them telling him to do that. How could they tell him to stop at the one when he broke through. I think that was his decision.

No it was not his decision on his own. Runyan (maybe?) told him if he breaks it to go down, and Westbrook agreed to it.

 

He said in the post game that it was his idea to do it at the last second, because he saw their was too much time left on the clock.

 

Yes I am sure he couldn't have possibly got the idea from someone else.

Same crap different paint job. I mean hell you can still jam the game up where it stays with the players on the field and does nothing (for example try rewinding just before a challenged call...boom your screwed. Didn't even mean to rewind but it's keyed to such a prime button).

 

I suck balls at this game. Against A.I. I'm fine. An online opp? I suck ***.

The games controls are so unresponsive. When I say juke, juke mother****er! There's such a delay with everything (online and off). It's killing me... wanna use the spin move? To bad it's in slow mo... I really hate this ****.

I hate the way the game feels. Does speed burst work? Why is it any swinging Tom, Dick, or Harry can just fly like lightning towards my ball carrier when I'm more then steps ahead with a fast player?

Had I known that 09 was bnothing like 08 (for the xbox1) I would have rented it. Man this game sucks....

If speed burst is anything like NCAA it certainly works. Yet to play the game, but I don't see how juke/spin are unresponsive, since I didn't find them unresponsive last year.

 

Only an 8.8 from IGN.

 

Maybe you're used to them? Play 08 for the xbox/ps2 and then play 09 and tell me there not unresponsive.

So far I'm 0-3 online. 24-14, 17-6 (missed an EP... somehow), and 7-14.

I'm an INT machine too. Then again I'm playing as Miami and everyone is choosing teams in the 90's.

Do screen passes work? Where are my blockers knocking LB out of the way? The WR screen with Ginn is nice though.

Oh and my big TD play? Qb sneak all day. I've got most of my TD from that. Love it.


Where did QB vision go?

 

I hated the gameplay on 08(360), if its actually worse on 09 then forget it, I'll just buy it for the Ps2 again.

 

I'd go with PS2 then.

 

I dont know IMO, the game just looks like they took too much time to make it look good but not play good. Ateast the PS2 game plays good. The movements are crisper, smoother, the game is faster. On the 360 your guy seems like he's running in slow motion.

 

That's the main difference from 08 (old gen) I'm noticing.

 

i still love this game...and clark idk why your juke move is so delayed, i push the analog stick to the left he jukes to the left right away

edit: there is no difference in online and just a regular offline game

 

I don't see the delay in juking... I just feel like it's a bad game.

I love how QB's are super great with their 90% completion rating. Could just be I'm the sorry Dolphins but can't EA find a happy medium in game play? Running was always super easy while throwing the ball sucked. This time around its the total opposite.

I love hearing this game was made by EA 10 times every Quarter.

Franchise mode seems empty. I miss those cheesey radio broadcast and Newspaper clippings in the previous madden.

Also why hasn't EA put on a ESPN top 10 each week or something? IT seems they really focused to much on someone who has never played Madden.

You make a good point... There's this whole push on the game that adapts to you... and that video of the guy who plays with his daughter... and because she sucks, the game compensates for her to make it competitive. They might be trying to draw in new players.

Crap.

 

They just want you to know who made this sucky game. It's a way of taunting you because well, it's not like you can take your business to their competitors and EA is glad to remind you how stuck you are.

 

That whole MAdden IQ test is a ****ing joke. Got perfect in running and got nearly perfect in passing, every route that had a TE in I threw it. IT Hardly tests you.

I think the defense part of the test is really bull****, especially the run defense. Considering you have to hit the right button it doesn't tackle him 90% of the time.

I don't even understand why they focused on trying to get new players. I mean the only people that play Madden are die hard football fans. ITs not like a 8 year old girl is going to be playing this round the clock. I will say I like what they did with the passing mechanic its just to good like in the Jet game Mclown was 19-20 only miss was a batted down ball on All-pro. But on all Madden the CPU QB never misses always throws a strike.

 

Same old Madden. I am going to buy Madden 2003 again and play that.

 

Also wanted to point out the delay on every play that you can't skip.

 

I believe only 06 and 07 had it. I liked that. This years franchise sucks there is nothing to keep you interested.
