The answer is LeBron James with Miami. He got the two MVP's, the Two Titles, and the Two Finals MVP's with an Olympic Gold Medal. Steph is gonna miss one Finals MVP.

Am I the only one who wants the 4 seed rather than the 3 seed? I see Atlanta, Charlotte, and Boston all pretty similarly, so my preference there is home court, not so much which team we play. So then it becomes who would you rather play in round 2. While I think Miami can beat Toronto, they play us really well and I'd hate to get eliminated before getting a crack at Cleveland. I'd rather just play Cleveland in round 2. If we lose, it sucks, but we'd be heavy underdogs anyway. If we win, that is as good a season as you can ask for IMO.

Derp. Igga Dolla, I forgot. Still, lets say he gets one this year.

Finals MVP > 3 point record and greatest regular seasson of all time? I can see that.

To be fair tho, LBJ shoulda been DPOY during 12-13 run too. So yeah, valid point.

Yeah I want to face Cleveland, but I am not sure about how we will do against Boston. I think Boston gives us a 7 game series.. where as I can see us beating Charlotte in 5 and Atlanta in 5.

So I was reading an article about the 2017 draft class and saw this about the incoming freshmen:

So while the Heat don't have very many draft picks over the next few years, they happen to have a pick in a class that could be one of the deepest in recent memory. Riley is pretty good at this running a franchise thing, huh?

Weber is 2016 draft pick, basically, and a steal at that. Amazing how investing in a developmental system can pay dividends. I know the jury is still out on Briante, but you look at how dominant he was as a defender at VCU and arguably the greatest at getting steals ever in college basketball, and you can't help but imagine what will happen if he gels within our system. I'm excited to see how he grows this offseason. If it is anything near the growth Hassan has shown, we will be deep at the guard position.

I'd be interested in knowing what that GM thought of the 2016 draft since that turned out ridiculously good.

I'm assuming you mean 2015? It would be interesting to hear. I know that year many people thought it would be pretty deep. That was part of the reason I was hoping we missed the playoffs. I never thought we'd get a crack at Justise Winslow, but I knew someone that could contribute would be there.

Has there ever been a postseason where only one series mattered? I don't remember a time where nothing but one series truly mattered. Unless something truly, truly drastic happens where half of the either squad gets hurt, nothing but WCF will matter. This is absurd.

Winning out makes it easy. But the CHA - BOS result opened up a back door for the Heat.

But let's keep it simple. Beat two teams you are better than.

There was an earlier question as to why some of us preferred certain match-ups in the first round vs. others. I believe that in general Boston, Charlotte and Atlanta are generally equivalent teams. But they all have different areas where they excel and that causes match-up issues. Speaking for myself, I prefer to avoid Boston b/c they seem pretty adept and creating turnovers against us. I see that as one of our weaknesses and one of indicators for wins or losses. In other words when we have a ton of turnovers we lose, when we don't we win. I think I heard the magic number for us is around 17.

I'm also not certain whether I like Whiteside back in the starting lineup. I loved how our second unit of Winslow, Robinson and Whiteside cranked up the defensive intensity. I feel it overwhelmed teams. I also think that Whiteside coming in after the flow of the game was established lessened the odds of him picking up early fouls. I worry that moving Whiteside might negate some of those advantages we've had throughout the season and I'm not sure I see any benefit to having him start.

Little extra fun with Dorell Wright potentially getting minutes tonight with Winslow out.

Detroit still has something to play for in terms of seed as well. Would love to see us step it up at the right time here with the playoffs this weekend.

These are the turnover issues that have to get fixed for the postseason, which rafael mentioned regarding the Celtics matchup. Boston causes even more havoc on the wings and gets into their pace. It's a thing with this Heat team.

Joe pulled us out of that mess, man, and Wade too. Vets...gotta love the seasoned guys who've been here before.

I'm guessing Spo will start Whiteside again tomorrow, but after seeing how out of rhythm we were, wouldn't be surprised if he went back to the old rotation. Damn foul trouble tonight too, of course.

Reggie Jackson being out trumps Tony Brothers being in.

So it's Celtics or Hornets in the first round. Which would we rather get?

We can still draw Atlanta. In fact, I'd say this is maybe the most likely scenario if everyone plays their starters. Heat lose to Boston + Hawks beat Wiz + Hornets beat Magic = Atlanta as the 3 seed, Heat as the 6.

To answer the question, I'd prefer to draw Charlotte out of the three. The other two are about the same degree of a challenge (Celtics probably a hair tougher for us), though the teams are very different.
