First, we have to know exactly what his D will be like, he has never been a D coordinator before, we can't just assume that he will be running the Cincy D here.

So your question can only be answered based on speculation.

As far as the secondary is concerned we obviously have a good indicator of the style of play needed to fit this defense. No mystery here. It's a zone press scheme, requiring physical corners that can tackle, much like the cover 2. This could ultimately benefit the likes of Jamar Taylor. Who best fits this mold is the question.....

Scheme doesn't matter. Reason is its either man or zone. You draft the best punch you in the mouth fast CB. Fast CB's have no trouble with zone. Lock down corners don't let receivers run there routes. In this day and age timing is everything. You smash a receiver in the mouth several times and slow his routes down - causes havoc for the QB.

I don't believe Miami will draft a corner in the first round. I think they will draft a running back - pissing everyone off. I think they Draft Derrick Henry/Alabama

In the second I got them going for Alexander or Jackson

This team will go nowhere until they invest in a pair of corners and a safety that are among the top 5 in the league. Continuing to draft corners in the 3rd and 4th rounds is a recipe for disaster. These guys at that level in the draft are a crap shoot. This year, the drop off from 1 to 3 is ridiculous. IMO letting Grimes go was a mistake. He was the best DB we had. Defense went backward with that move. We all know we were a lot better when Davis and Smith were here - it's no coincidence.

Here's hoping Tannenblow gets his head out of his arse.

That is just it... when your 'best' CB is absolutely horrible that tells the tale. A rookie can do what he did... and for millions less.

We spent a couple of high round draft picks on CBs in 2009. All we got were a couple of busts we had to trade away for nickels on the dollar.

Are you implying that right now we are better off then we were? That is silly if you are. Grimes played consistently all 3 yrs he was here. The only difference is this year he didn't have a pick 6. first and second year he had 1.

Grimes and Taylor are ranked 18th - great ? Nope. But better then we are now

As far as his pay goes who's fault is that - Tannenblow - blows the ****ing cap on everybody then fills in the gaps with inferior talent for crap money.

Great we are so lucky to watch this moron regress the team by cutting all his mistakes one at a time.
