New GM! New coaching staffs! New Offense!! New defense!!?? New players?? On a scale of 1-10, ten being the highest and 1 the lowest, how much personnel turnover do you envision in 2016? And why?
technically, not really a new GM since Mr T is the real GM. but to your question, I envision at least 20% roster turnover
3 - I don't envision house cleaning (Ross thinks he's in win-now mode). I think some of our aging vets should be nervous. I suspect Gase will probably bring in some of "his guys" like any coach would. There are a lot of good pieces in place on the offense. RB and TE could be cost cutting moves. I would guess that our backup qb will have Gase's finger print on it. I don't think it is any secret that our guards will be getting upgrades. Our defense needs considerable work. Linebackers and defensive backs should be really, really nervous.
Ross has actually stated he's thinking long-term: http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/s...th-instincts-in-naming-gase-dolphins-h/np2YN/ “I’m looking at this long-term,” Ross said. “You could hire somebody and say, ‘Hey, we made the playoffs.’ That to me is not winning. I want to go a lot further than that, as do the fans.” ... Either way, I don't expect more than average roster turnover. We actually have a bunch of good players at key positions. We have many holes yeah, but it seemed like coaching was the biggest issue.
On offense, depending on how agreeable to a restructure Cameron is, we will likely only see change on the bottom of the depth chart aside from guard. On defense, we could see a lot. And we have a ton of needs. Won't all be done in one offseason, so we'll likely some vets return for one more season who aren't long term options.
4 on offense and 11 on defense is 15 which is 28% of a 53 man roster and that's just starters, so i'll go 35%.
