A couple reports out there saying he has been brought up. I dont remember but I have heard he is a hard runner. If that is true it is probably what we need. Miller is fine but isn't a hard between the tackles guy, though he has gotten better.
Anyone with a status on Lamar's ankle injury? EDIT:
One can hope. My hope is that he is eager to get back at it after having success in NE then getting in the doghouse and subsequently shelved. I hope he feels he has ALOT to prove!
Won't matter behind this abortion of an offensive line. You could try to run Peter, Paul, John, Joseph, James or even Jesus himself up the gut and not move an inch on third and short. Sent from my SM-G360T1 using Tapatalk
BS..... A running back has to make things happen on his own. Miller didn't run with urgency at all on Sunday. 10 carries 14 yards. Pathetic.
You make a good point. Thought it leaves me wondering what exactly the approximately 1500 Lbs. of useless mass lining up in front of him is for.
Miller is soft. Finesse running back and not a good one. Give the OL all the grief you want but we have a very bad starter at the position. He still can't handle the load or the carries.
Had pretty good ypc and rushed over 1000 yds last year. Behind arguably a worse offensive line (if you can believe it). Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
id like to see a back run with some violent juice..maybe he's got some....wonder if moreno is getting close.
We've seen situations where certain players perform better than others despite dealing with the same circumstances. For some reason that happens in sports. Maybe Gray can provide something that Miller simply can't behind this O line of kneeless Cattle. I certainly don't want Damian Williams back there, he'll fumble. What can it hurt to give Gray a look? Especially against Buffalo.
Williams just doesn't impress me. He doesn't hit the "holes" hard enough, just seems to tentative. Hopefully Gray will at least try to move the pile.
I really hope he can be effective. I just watched some clips of his huge game last year against the Colts, 199 rushing and 4 td's, and the Pats had a real good push coming from their o-line. Gray broke a number of tackles too but they had good play up front.
Should have had him in the last game instead of Williams being stuffed on 3rd and short. Idk how much he or any back can do though behind this terrible line and ridiculous play calling.
I think you watched a little too much "Last Boy Scout". RB's certainly not expected to do it on their own unless you're in Hollywood.
None of these runningbacks impress me... it's just another need for the draft on top of safety, corner, middle linebacker, guard, pass rusher... sigh
