The best part is the sort of Jeff Van Gundy look-alike in the background. The grimace on his face while Miami Heat related people have a good time is reminiscent of Van Gundy's coverage of the Heat during their championship runs.
Kevin Durant isn't the best player on his own team, not sure how he's the second best player in the NBA. Westbrook really took a hit by not taking his team to the playoffs without two all-stars for some reason. 9 times out of 10, Davis misses that game winner 3-ball and we all get treated to a Westbrook v. Curry first round duel.
LOL @ Durant not being the best player on his own team. Thats cute. The NBA will soon learn after this season.

I disagree that reducing the importance of divisions is "logic" in any way. This looks like the NBA weighed division rivalries versus tanking and decided tanking was a bigger priority. But hey, Howard Beck says a lot of stupid things—he did work at the New York Times, after all—so I'm not surprised. Can't wait for some WC team's fans to screech about how the new rules cost them a playoff berth.
The one thing i will say for Beck is that he is remarkably accurate in his Knicks work. Back in January or February he did a piece for Bleacher Report and he correctly predicted Robin Lopez and Aaron Afflalo to NYK. And he said there would be a mid level signing at almost the exact range Derrick Williams signed for. I kind of scoffed at it at the time. Personally, I dont really see a point to divisions outside of the rivalries. Divisions lead to an unbalanced schedule when you talk about rivalries and division games. Balancing that out improves the competitive balance. Conferences make some degree of sense mostly because of the travel and logistics involved.
Just for fun this could be something to look forward.....free agency comes and BOOM! Stephen A does like to hear himself talk but hes called a lot deals before they happened....Big 3, Carmelo to NY, etc.
Birdman was called in for a physical today....could be nothing...could be a prelude to a trade...could be checking in after his injury last year.
Please come back, HEAT...Dolphins are going full Dolphins before their usual scheduled December collapse.
Yo, Heat fans!
If he could just learn what passing the ball out of the post looks like we'd be all set. Sent from my SM-G360T1 using Tapatalk
Man I'm excited about the Spurs' upcoming season. It's going to be thoroughly interesting to see how they evolve. If Parker were his normal self I'd say they'd have a definite title shot, but since he seems to be under-performing, and since they've needed his ability to slash to the basket, I'm not sure how they'll do if he plays like he did last season. Having said that, maybe we'll see a completely different approach. Woj put this piece together on David West's bargain signing. Really good article.
I have no problem with LeBron. We got to bang the hot girl in her prime. Having said that, I hope he never wins anything in Cleveland and Miami ends up being his biggest legacy.
http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/stor...ulls-suffers-orbital-fracture-undergo-surgery This is almost comical, i really feel bad for the guy.
Full circle haha I'm glad tho. Between staying home with his kid and the radio show, I'm glad. One of the good guys for sure.
I've said this again and again, I am damn proud to support THIS team and organization. Few tibids from Barry Jackon's Aritcle
Some dude redesigned every NBA teams logo, and got an offer from the NBA. http://www.ksl.com/?sid=36751882&ni...m-logos-lands-contract-with-nba&s_cid=queue-1 https://www.behance.net/gallery/28843107/Every-NBA-Team-Logo-Redesigned
I loved that note about the Heat and Dragic, Bosh, etc...****ing fantastic organization run by fantastic people. A team truly worthy of fandom. Incidentally is LeBatard right that Mike Miller asked the Heat to come back and they said no thanks? Is that just being a bit overproud? I'm sure we could use his three point shooting.
Miller sucks nowadays. Couldn't even get off the bench in Cleveland. Better to develop Winslow/Richardson/Ennis. Also, is anyone else already a little worried about Whiteside and this mysterious calf issue? He's yet to practice
Should we pay any mind to reports of how so-and-so or whats-his-face are looking in camp? Just seeing positive reports on guys like Richardson and Winslow for their defense, and even Ennis and Johnson. Wondering if I should put any store in it.
The Heat are notorious for low balling expectations on players. I once asked Keith Askins if he thought they hit on their 2nd round pick (Mario Chalmers) because he looked really good to me in workouts.... (Rio has been a wildly successful 2nd round pick btw)..and Askins then proceeded to dissect Rio's game to the point where I thought he was terrible. The Heat RARELY do this. They think Bumpy Johnson can replace Rio eventually...and that they hit Big on both picks (Richardson and Winslow). I have heard that Winslow is already a top of the rotation player (25mpg) and that they are going to look for minutes for Richardson.
Cavaliers just removed anything and everything related to Tristan Thompson . Posters, fatheads, jerseys, all metchandise. I think a trade might be coming soon.
Also dont think Tristan steps on the court if a trade isnt in the works. Hes going to go full Kam Chancellor on the Cavs
Which makes sense. But this team is so DEEP, which is great. I'm counting 8 backcourt guys who should see the floor: Dragic, Rio, TJ, JRich, Wade, Green, Deng, Winslow. I'm guessing Deng will play reduced minutes for a starter, but even then I don't know how many minutes will be available for some of these guys. Is the D-League off the table for Richardson early on in the season?
Heat are playing Charlotte tonight. Hopefully will soften the ****show the Phins put on earlier. Welcome back, HEAT.
I think the Heat soften it less than throw it into a really harsh light. Could any two clubs in the same city have two more different cultures?
