Justise Winslow just signed his Rookie Scale contract. Will start at $2.5mil. He will now play tomorrow morning at 9:00AM vs. the Pacers in Summer League.
Marco Bellinelli to the Kings, 3 yrs $19 million Well, guess the Kings finally found somebody to take their money.... So, Bellinelli is out for us Are we waiting on LMA to make a decision or are other salary trimming trades coming regardless?
Lopez is 4years/54 mil. better fit then Chandler with better rim protection stats then Monroe or Jordan. Not a huge fan of the 4 years but its a moveable deal and will at least sure up the interior D
You really think that's movable? That's over $13M per for a guy who averages 8 and 5 and who's career high was 11 and 8.5. That's a LOT of money for a mediocre player.
That's a huge blow for the Clippers' playoff chances next year... Glen Davis your starting Center? Yikes... just attack inside all day..
Mark Cuban told DeAndre he can be the face of the Mavericks.... and DeAndre bought into that horse ****... lol well all you got to do is get the guy to sign and then that pitch is thrown out the window.
Yes. His rim protection stats are better then DeAndre Jordan's. Jordan's and Demarre Carroll are the 2 worst contracts that were given so far in my opinion. Rim Protection FG% Against Robin Lopez 48% DeAndre Jordan 48.5% Greg Monroe 55.1% (Ill cut him a little slack since they had him playing PF when hes a true C) Point Saved/per 36 minutes Robin Lopez 2.40 DeAndre Jordan 0.18 Greg Monroe -1.23 I dont love the contract but its going to be an average contract by next year. Plus hes an ideal fit for the triangle and was plagued by back issues last year. His stats will go up. I predict he gets moved though before next FA period. I have a guess as to where Phil will go with it but I think hes gathering some contracts that will be moveable for a trade. Worst case though he can protect the rim and hes better then say Tyson Chandler or DeAndre Jordan on offense both of whom got worse contracts (Chandler not monetarily but because it takes him through his age 37 season at 13M per where as Lopez is 27 and his contract runs through his age 31).
Has Lamarcus met with phil yet? Knicks are signing everyone from Portland might as well join the whole band minus Lilliard.
Been reading stories about what happened between CP3 and DeAndre. CP3 might be the most immature prick In the league. Hope you enjoy the treadmill you created loser. And have fun throwing lobs to Glen Davis. What a cancerous teammate he is.
LaMarcus isnt meeting with the Knicks. Which is fine. Hes an idiot. He should have been a Spur days ago if he ever wanted to win anything. Also, havent seen this confirmed anywhere but Chris Broussard.... Chris Broussard ✔ @Chris_Broussard Sources: Derrick Williams agrees to 2-year, $10 million deal with Knicks. Player option for second year Guess Melo will be a PF this year. Williams is still young so this could be good.....
Fun thought: CP3 is the head of the player's union. LeBron is the XO. You are so terrified of LMA in a Heat uniform.
I disagree. If you base contracts on the last season played, which is how most "raised" deals are achieved, then DeAndre Jordan's 14'-15' season is worth a Max contract. If you dig a little deeper into his defensive metrics, and you compare it to the guys that played in front of him, only Chris Paul had a good set of Synergy numbers. Jordan was under immense pressure, and still managed to put up decent defensive metrics, a record rebound rate, and solid accumulative numbers, while being available. That...is a max contract.
first off no player that's completely ineffective at one end of the floor is worth a max. Ever. Dallas is going to regret promising him a larger role if they were being truthful about that. He has no post game or J. Second he is highly overrated. He gets beaten by his own man quite a bit for someone whose supposed to be a defensive stud.
Mavs -Chandler -Ellis… +Jordan +Matthews.. Close to a wash. Don't understand how this helps them in the West. Jordan will be better offensively slightly, and Matthews.. well.. almost identical overall to Ellis.. maybe ? Monta Ellis: .445% FG .285% 3pt .752% (ironically exactly same) FT 2.4 REB 4.1 AST 1.9 STL 2.5 TO 18.9 PT/G 33.7min (Unbelievably exactly the same as Wes) Wesley Matthews: .448% FG .389% 3pt .752% (ironically exactly same) FT 3.7 REB 2.3 AST 1.3 STL 1.4 TO 15.9 PT/G 33.7min (Unbelievably exactly the same as Monta) These guys are almost identical except for 3pt%.. Wes is MUCH more efficient from deep, which was to be expected. Also turnovers are a problem with Ellis. Either way the Mavs aren't making a huge change to their team outside more of an obligatory replacement. I liked Matthews a lot for what he is, a 3 PT specialist. He should be a good fit for Dallas but he is only a notch above what they had before which will not put them ahead of where they already were. Tyson Chandler: .666% FG .720% FT 11.5 REB 1.2 BLK 10.3 PT/G 30.5 MIN DeAndre Jordan .710% FG .397% FT 15.0 REB 2.2 BLK 11.5 PT/G 34.4 MIN DeAndre is marginally better in-game as long if he doesn't get fouled.. in which case he becomes a HUGE liability obviously. Can't hit a ****ing ft to save his life.. Defensively he's a weapon, but that's not enough for a center now. You need a 2 way guy or a hybrid center who can run in this NBA. Just being a big mother****er doesn't cut it anymore. Really looks like the Mavs took a lateral swap.
Winslow showing that mini LeBron game. Strong contact drive, floats for a minute, and drops it in off the glass. Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk
Would the NBA consider roster expansion? Maybe in conjunction with a contraction but that's not likely. Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk
He had a quietly strong offensive game too. 15 points on 50% FGs picking his spots fairly well and showing some good options on offense. Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk
So is Winslow already our best defender? Lol. This kid can D up on basically anyone anywhere on the floor. Quickness, length, motor, high IQ, and strong as hell. Good stuff. What a great feel for the game he has at 19 years old, and in his first NBA 'game' experience. Looks comfortable with the ball in his hands at various levels of the floor, makes the right pass quickly, smooth and strong to the rim. Damn. Does all the little things all over the floor, notched a +28 today. And he doesn't turn 20 until...next March.
Both draftees showed good stuff. Winslow with the strong defense and good drawing contact; Richardson with some pesky, sticky defense and some aggressive offense. Winslow final stats: 15pts, 4/8 shooting, 1/3 from three, 6/8 from FT line, 3 assists, 2 steals, +/- of +28!! Richardason final stats: 14pts, 2-6 shooting, 1/2 from three, 9/9 from FT line, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, +/- of +6.
Pounding the Rock retweeted Lamarcus Aldridge @aldridge_12 1 min1 minute ago I'm happy to say I'm going home to Texas and will be a Spur!! I'm excited to join the team and be close to my family and friends. Matthew R Tynan @Matthew_Tynan 3 mins3 minutes ago Spurs probable opening-day lineup: Tony Parker, Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge, Tim Duncan.
Not necessarily. I'm not sure Duncan will be on the court with LMA much. I think Duncan will come off the bench. Especially if they now grab another center. Plus the Spurs play system basketball and the whole squad is getting overhauled. It might well take time for the system to come together. It'll be interesting to see how they change the way they play. Also, Pounding the Rock retweeted Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA 42 secs42 seconds ago Aldridge will sign a four-year, $80 million maximum contract with San Antonio, league source tells Yahoo.
Congrats to the Spurs, that is going to be some fun team to watch. huge blow for the Blazers to lose their star for nothing in return.

Matthew R Tynan @Matthew_Tynan 34 secs34 seconds ago Spurs still have to find an inside defensive presence. Neither Duncan nor LMA wants to be that 5 guy. I'm guessing they'll find one.
I bet most Blazers fans would prefer a package of Rio, McRoberts, Deng, and Birdman to what just happened (losing him for nothing). Just saying.
