Which is strange, because Riley was talking as if Beasley was going to stay. Guess Spoelstra won that fight.

Beasley being gone is a good omen. We never win when he's with us.

Makes sense. If it was up to Spo, I dunno if he would have gotten his 3d stint.

Yep, he looked terrible in the finals.

    He's basically done.

Miami has missed these electrifying plays. If Winslow becomes the guy you want him to, pair him with an athletic wing and we'll have the smash brothers. I'm coining this now guys so once it starts, we'll have it in the bank. Maybe it can be him and Whiteside.

I'd love to see Ennis translate that athleticism into production. He had some solid outings near the end of the season, especially during the dead zone when the playoffs were out of the question and scrubs were getting minutes.

He just set a record for missed shots in a finals. That Finals performance was more flash than effectiveness. He played 2 great games out of 6.

    50,000 minutes is fast approaching.

His strength isnt shooting. You know that.

Once he gets his STAR PG back along with another piece (Love) he wont have to be the bread/butter/napkin and knife for a team who picked 1 overall a year prior.

I challenge anybody to name a player the last 30 years who could've taken that Cavs squad and actually look like the better team for half the finals.

They could certainly score as well as he did. Lebron does all around more for his team than either of those guys. So i disagree.

Do you remember how dominant prime Shaq was?

Those guy's needed someone to het them the ball in position, Lebron/Jordan/Kobe are ball dominant players. That's the difference in this example.

I'm sure even "Delly" could've gritted his way into passing the ball to Shaq, who would've destroyed GS front line for at least 40 twice in a 6 game series.

LeBron is obviously great, why do we have to pump up his legend even further with silliness like this?

Well, the original premise was that LeBron was declining. So these past Finals were brought up to show he's still really good. So if we're saying LeBron right now is as good as prime Shaq - then I'd say the argument he's declining is likely over and we can move on.

Delly struggled getting passes to Lebron 10ft from the basket, remember those rainbow passes that sucked?

Big men rely on others too much.

The point of this is I disagree with the criticism of James in the finals which when you average a triple double is kind of insane. But anyones efficiancy will drop in that setting. He was forced to be more than he really wants to be because he lost maybe the best "Robin" in the league in Kyrie. That matters.

Thats cute. They scored better then he did. By far. Its not really a conversation actually. But thats just verifies what Ive always said about lebron..hes a PG. He should be Magic Johnson for this generation...instead he thinks hes Michael. Hes not. Not even close.

That's even cuter. The guy has been the ultimate team player his whole career, has made it his goal to be a distributor and make the correct basketball play.

He loses 2 NBA all stars in the playoffs (finals) and in an attempt to carry an entire team alone begins shooting at a Michael Jordan rate.

And you dismiss years of basketball for one series and claim he "thinks he is Michael Jordan".

Seems agenda based but what do I know.

Heat confirm Winslow will play summer league starting Saturday in Orlando.

Riley also gave a shout out to Roc Nation, at the beginning of the press conference. They represent Winslow.......and Kevin Durant

I'm not sure if James is declining, but he did have a very inefficient series. I'm not ready to attribute that all to his number of minutes played though b/c so many of his minutes came so early in his career. I think the body can handle those minutes when we're young. I do expect that James will still look like the best player in the world for the next 3 seasons but that he'll miss more time and the bouts of inefficiency will become more frequent.

IMO it's just further proof that no single player can carry a team by himself. The cavs looked like they could hang when the warriors tried to match up with them size-wise (that gave James offensive help from Mosgov), but once the warriors went small the Cavs were out-matched. The series really wasn't close from that point on. Irving will help going forward, but I don't think retaining Love is smart for the cavs or Love. They're best move is a sign and trade. Love is just a bad fit for the cavs. But I don't believe that the cavs will win a championship with James and Irving alone (or with Love) unless they just get to the finals (if they get there) against an unusually weak Western opponent. They need to find a better fit for that third wheel. Guys like Bosh are rare (talented enough to star, versatile enough to be an offensive or defensive player as needed and humble enough to be the third wheel most of the time). I don't see it as likely that they'll find a guy like that.

He'd be a lot less high maintenance than LeBron's entourage and he'd actually hold stake in the team, lol.

See, I hear this argument a lot and I disagree with it. He's not compared to MJ because of style of play, he's compared to him because of his overall greatness. Jordan is considered the best and James is entering that conversation. LeBron James isn't like MJ, and isn't really like Magic either (except for his passing). LeBron is unlike anything the league has ever seen. He's Karl Malone's size and has the speed, quickness, and overall athleticism of an elite guard.

No. I don;t know that. In Miami he was a GREAT shooter. He regressed to the worst parts of his game for whatever reason.

Again..the Cavs picked #1 the year prior to pure dumb luck. They moved up from #9 to #1 in the lotto. Their team improvement was EXACTLY what Lebron's Win Score/ Wins Produced say he is, which is an improvement of 16 to 18 wins.

What the regular season told us is that Irving and Love don;t make much of a difference between winning and losing.

Lebron is an all-time great, and one of the best ever. But let's stop with the undue idolatry. It's reaching the ridiculous Jordan levels.

I don't think Lebron is declining offensively... No one else on his team could create his own shot in the Finals... and he had to pull a Westbrook. If you're asking Lebron to take 30-35 FGA, you're not going to win against the Warriors...

His defense though, is on drastic decline. There was no excuse for his effort on defense in the Finals. Mozgov, Thompson and Shumpert can hold their own, so Lebron should try to hold his own..

And then you get this effort on defense from Lebron that made you wonder, why is he still getting voted first team all defense, must be the same reason Kobe was being mentioned on first team on years he didn't deserve it...

You aren't going to see much great defensive play from someone who's usage rate is so high. LeBron's best defense historically has been when he isn't carrying such a burden offensively.

How does this impact cap space? After re-signing Dragic it's all gone, right? Or can they sign people and then re-sign Dragic since he's their own player? I never completely understood how cap holds work.
