If your talking about my talking of hard drive loss I was being sarcastic. It seems to have worked for everyone else...so you should be fine.

Just to make sure everyone feels a little easier if they do want to download this, I am going to list the precautions you should take before the download.

    Precautions to take :

The BricoPack installation system developed by Bricomix (member of CrystalXP.net's team) allows you to modify your system's resources to apply a new theme. These changes are not entirely safe. So you must respect these rules :

    1. Don't install another application like a BricoPack (ShellPack, XPize ...) with the Vista Inspirat 2 BricoPack ! It could damage your operating system or could make it impossible to return to Windows XP's default appearance.

    2. Don't install a Microsoft Service Pack (SP1 or SP2) over a BricoPack. You must uninstall the BricoPack first and then install the Service Pack. After that, if you want to, you can of course reinstall the BricoPack.

    3. Don't install a BricoPack on a "light" or "gold" version of Windows XP. These are already modified. The installation of a BricoPack will make your system unstable.

    4. If you wish to unistall the BricoPack, go to "Start Menu >> BricoPack >> Vista Inspirat 2 >> Vista Inspirat 2 Config" then click on "remove". It's the only way to obtain a clean uninstallation of the pack. The "System restauration" doesn't uninstall the BricoPack perfectly.

Light is a stripped down version of XP and Gold I believe is the original XP (not service pack 1,2, or 3).

Yeah I can change mine. How did you try to change it?

So you found a pic online (or something) and chose to set it as your background?

I just tried it and it worked. Remember also you can also uninstall the Vista theme if you wanna go back to your old theme.

Thank you bro, you and Alen are getting me paranoid about this thread and I was thinking about taking it down but I think I'll just put the precautions in my initial post.

Windowblinds theme plus a custom Iconpackager theme plus a whole lot more. It's not just one program or installation. It used to be back in the Tiger era thanks to Flyakite OS X, but that thing hasn't been updated in forever; it's not even XP SP3 compatible.

It was just restarting my friend. Remember the precautions however and you should now have an icon on the desktop that says "Vista Inspirat 2 Help" that will also give you hints and help.

Glad your happy...so far everyone that's tried it has found success which is great news.

Its pretty slick and probably the reason some found it to be slow was that the computer hadn't finished rebooting yet.

Why would anyone want to make XP look like Vista? XP is 100000x better than that sad POS.

Is there a way to install the express after Ive already installed the classic? Or do I have to scrap it and re-install?

Hum, I guess you would have to do a re-install. I searched around and couldn't find another way.

See I found a flaw in your perfect little program :tongue2:

That does suck though. Guess I'll just leave it.

Do you use it for business or personal? We have it on the main accounting PC at work and it crashes our sales program about once every couple weeks...
