Wtf?? God your anus is still sore to the point where you keep misconstruing EVERY GD word I say?

Cavs Warriors would be a very FLASHY, high paced scoring fest...but would be nowhere near the high level of all around good basketball the Spurs/Heat provided. Apples and oranges. There are no great fundamental teams left in this years playoffs, there are however two very flashy basketball teams who are odds on fav to face eachother.

And for the record I have been very happy for LeBron James every title he has won, I appreciate the skill he brings and the desire he has to transform an entire city and never forgetting where he came from. Things like that matter to someone like me.

Let your plastic guard down, this is a basketball forum and if you can't learn to interpret my posts press the ignore button or just continue to look silly for making off the wall accusations.

I have fifty plus pages of evidence on this very thread that shows constant subtle heat bashing and baiting from you. Jealousy is definitely running through your veins, your Knicks haven't done **** in decades, and your new team the Cavaliers has no championships to speak of. And I'm not even going to continue talking about it, you've done enough work on this thread derailing NBA talk to little internet battles amongst other members with stupid meme's and other cheapshots on the Heat. Again remember which team you root for, you got no room to talk if you're not a Celtic, Laker or Spurs fan. It is an eye sore to read your posts on this thread, really.

Translation: I now feel like a jackass and my best defense is to take it to other levels.

Again, if you have an issue use the ignore button...I made a statement that had ZERO to do with the Heat and it's very apparent you can't decipher through what was a run of the mill statement and "Heat hate" so why continue to do that to yourself? Hit ignore please, it gets old being accused of something new every week anyways.

    Bye.

let me know when any of these fools thinks he knows more then Phil Jackson. 11 rings+2 as a player. Bigs are a sustainable commodity, 3 point shooting is more likely to be inconsistent from year to year IMO. There's more then one way to skin a cat...

it's chuckford. It's always been Jamal Chuckford. Cause while he's got some ridiculous moves he's also extremely inconsistent game to game

There's also no teams in the league this year that I would call great. These are the best teams in a watered down year. I hope it stays this way. It could be fun in two years or so.
He's always liked Cleveland in addition to NyK. He's from (around) there. It's kinda how I like the dolphins as a favorite team but want the giants to win whenever they don't play Miami. It's like having a side chick.

I'm not saying they didn't earn it. I'm saying I wouldn't call any team in the league this year a historically great team. I don't see any of these teams starting any dynasty any time soon.

The Warriors this year, are (so far) one of the greatest Teams to ever play. If they win the Championship, they will be remembered that way.. Their Eff. Ratings across the board are historic....to go along with 67 wins.

Bingo. I'd agree, legacy wise they'll need that championship. But in all reality if they don't win it, it shouldn't diminsh how great they were this season, in a very competitive conference to boot.

Right they had great eff ratings and 67 wins because the league as a whole IMO was not as good as it's been in years past.

Biggest night for the Knicks since the nba finals vs the spurs. 1st or 2nd and we are in great shape for Phil's master plan. I can live with 3rd but I think Phil wants a big

Personally I would not mind him. I think he can be a winning player however I dont think it happens. I wouldnt want him on a max deal coming off the season he had. Thats probably the only way he goes to NY though. I think he will be a Laker because I think thats where he wants to be.

I am also of the opinion though, that nothing is out of the question for the Zen Master. I think if he wants a certain player he will get them.

Western Conference wasn't good? They smashed it.

Historically good. I don't buy the "Dolphins were undefeated......yeah..but...the schedule...the..etc..." arguments.

Difference between signing a max next offseason in Cleveland w Bird Rights vs in LA without - $144.3 over 5 yrs vs $107.2 over 4 yrs.

Not saying he won't leave - just showing much much he'd have to give up to do so.

I disagree. The west was haves and have nots. I think the spurs were less then they've been in a while. Ditto OKC. Someone had to win those games. GSW is IMO the best team in the league but I wouldn't be surprised if Houston upset them (it's a bad matchup up front for GSW IMO) or if Lebron did a number on them in the finals and won (unfortunately I think atl has limited chance in that series...they'd have to go all Dallas mavs from 3)

With all those times the Cavs lucked out leading to LeBron going home (along with us getting jumped the last two times we were in the lotto), it would be only right for the Heat to win a top 3 pick tonight. I'm not greedy, though. As long as we stay at 10 I'll be very happy. Lots of good options there that can help now and going forward.

I respect your opinion, but I could not disagree more. Dinging the spurs for being less than there usual self is just silly since "less then they've been in a while" is still much much better than an average NBA team.

And with GS v Hou, Bogut/Green were legit DPOY candidates. To say that's a bad matchup makes me scratch my head. I'll admit I haven't looked at head to head matchup stats for these guys, but I'm not seeing it. If I'm going to bring up bad matchups, I'm starting in the backcourt. We've got 46 year old Terry and 57 year old Pablo guarding the mvp.........

BTW, I'm a Timberwolves fan, no bias here.

Of course you guys are myopic. The Clippers choking on a historic level and Tony Allen and Mike Conley being injured had nothing to do with the outcomes, only the 3 point shooting.

If you look at NBA Finals history, the story is very different.

This is an EXTREMELY watered down, weak NBA. Nobody has a favorite at the beginning of the year for a reason. Teams that used to be lower seeds are now top seeds for a reason. I highly doubt any team left is going to wind up being a dynasty (the LeBrons don't count because they have LeBron).

Pay close attention to the Hawks. That series is gonna be interesting.

I would be shocked if Golden State lost to Houston. As for Up front..it's a terrible matchup for Houston to have to stretch their front line to guard the Warrior small ball lineups. Bogut is enough to guard D12.

The Clippers were one of those 3 pt. shooting teams.......

Memphis got smashed the last 3 games of that series due to a simple defensive adjustment. That series was the same as when the Heat went down 2-1 to Indiana in 12'.

and again...since 2000, the teams that win the Finals usually shoot the three great and have big 3pt. diff.

I don't wanna argue about the Clippers shooting 2 more 3s per game than the 11th ranked team.

You and I both know the Grizzlies had no healthy starters to rely on except for Randolph and Gasol.

I have no problem with efficiency. I have a problem with a reliance on it. Historically heavily reliant 3 point shooting teams are very wishy washy and inconsistent.

And this is a weak era in the NBA. There's no dynasties in their prime now. No Magic's Lakers, no Bad Boys Pistons, no Bird's Celtics, no Duncan's Spurs, no Kobe/Shaq's Lakers, no Wade/LJ Heat, nothing.

Not even a heavily favored team before the beginning of the season. What we've got is teams that were lower seeds last year as top seeds this year. Weak NBA this year. Big time.

    EDIT: No Olajuwon's Rockets.

Fixed. I think all you easterners are down on the NBA because you're watching too much crappy Eastern Conference basketball. Warriors, Clippers, Spurs, Rockets were/are legit title contenders, and probably in any year. Multiple stars, great defenders, great shooting, go to scorers, good coaching(errr...rockets....but still).

The number TEN pre-lottery slotted team has retained its position 22 times, last in 2014 (Philadelphia).
Has moved up to the 2nd overall pick once in 1990 (Charlotte Hornets).
Has moved down to the 11th overall pick three times, last in 1999 (Cleveland).

    - Teams from the 10+ spot that have moved into the Top 3: Supersonics #10 (1990, Gary Payton), Orlando #11

moved up from #9 (2008, Derrick Rose), Cleveland moved up from #8 to #1 in 2011 (Kyrie Irving), and moved

Obviously I want the Cavs to beat the Hawks - but I'm not super excited to see them get run off the floor by the Warriors.

Cavs vs Hawks series is crazy interesting to me. Hawks haven't been very good for like 2-3 months - but when they were in sync they could probably kill the Cavs. Even with them out of whack the Milsap / Horford frontcourt presents some major issues for the Cavs. Don't really know Mozgov's role in this series. Probably going to need to dust off Shawn Marion to play some minutes on Milsap.

Barnes is under contract till 16-17'. Draymond Green is a restricted FA this year, and they have vowed to match any offer he gets.

Agree with Matt, as much as I like Russell (homer) the Knicks need a big. Now if we can draft D'Angelo and sign a Cousins or Aldridge in the future things start to make more sense.

The Clippers choked in historic fashion and the Rockets benefited as a result. The Spurs could bounce back but they are getting very long in the tooth and once Duncan is gone, I don't see that dynasty continuing. The Warriors have the best shot of being perennial contenders.
