C Squad up 17 at half..so far so good. Just in case..rumor is they signed another big to replace Whiteside while he is gone.
We were down 16....then, Harden went into 'Get the F..k Out of My Way' mode. Up 8 points at the moment. 24 point swing, lol.
So is this shaping up to be a first round playoff series with the Cavs? That would be pretty nerve-racking, IMO. You want the Heat to beat them so bad...and they seem to match up fairly well. But if the Cavs do win it's a total gut punch.
F*ck those Boston crooked refs. Some straight up bullsh*t was going on in that 4th quarter. Oh, and Marcus Smart is cheating little sh*t. Flops and dirty crap all over the field, and only his rookie season. Picked up the resident douchebag tittle void left up by Rondo.
Heat can't beat them. It's a 5 game series...maybe 6. But competitive. Now..next year...is gonna be fun.
As far as the officiating....whoa....that was bad. Celtics just FOULED all 4th quarter and hoped for the best....they got the best.
Here is the Gameflow of the Heat-Celtics game....let's see if you can spot something interesting.... http://popcornmachine.net/gf?date=20150325&game=MIABOS
Very good observation...but no... But since you guessed the right two guys...here it is.... Each upswing and run in each half, coincided with the insertion of those two.
Gotta say I'm pretty pumped for the playoffs in the West. That is going to be INTENSE. Anyone see what the Spurs did to the Thunder last night? Lol. 71 points in the first half. Jeez. Tony Parker looks healthy, back in last year's playoff form. Rockets guy...if the season ended today you'd draw San Antonio in the first round. That is NOT what you want. Tons of playoff experience, can keep up with the 3-ball, Jason Terry guarding Parker, Kawhi Leonard guarding Harden. That's kind of a nightmare matchup, imo. I really want to see a long series between the Spurs and Warriors.
Thought this was pretty funny and since Skolnik was involved figured you guys would enjoy - Cavs beat writers mocked the Cavs' post-game photos by doing one of their own: https://twitter.com/JasonLloydABJ/status/580932681371791360
over who? You need Deng..and you need Wade and Dragic. So you would play a small lineup with Wade at SF? (I can get behind that)
Haha he did a nice interview w a Cavs blog about how he's trying to balance having a brand-new family, being on the road constantly, and suddenly having everyone from Miami hate him for covering the Cavs like he suddenly became a Cavs fans. http://mustcavs.com/2015/03/23/double-coverage-ethan-skolnick-on-covering-both-cavs-and-heat/
I was joking. I love Ethan and I'm sure if he had his choice he wouldn't be following the cavs around the mid-west but he has a good thing going. He also is a major radio talent and could probably handle a full time gig in that arena if he wanted it.
Yeah he's kind of following the Windy path, but I think he's good enough to parlay this into a real national gig instead of whatever it is Windy does (mostly Cavs coverage but considered a national reporter, right?)
Ethan is a far better tv/radio personality than Windhorst. Windy's made a career following around LeBron James. Good for him. He's parlayed it into success far beyond his actual talent.
Who do you guys have for rookie of the year? I know Wiggins is the popular choice, but I think Nerlens has been pretty great. Mirotic making a late run.
Windhorst the Hutt was on ESPN last week and he said that if the Cavs played the Heat in the playoffs the Heat would probably tamper with the air conditioning. That's the kind of scumbag he is.
Heh, we ought to. Though he's gotten cramps in the AAA before with no tampering or AC problems. I want the Cavs at this point. I'm not under any illusion that we'll win, but there's something to be said about pride and honor, and standing up to the bully and fighting back as long and as hard as you can. Pushing them to 6 or 7 games would mean a lot to the franchise and the fans. It would be confirmation that we're still relevant, that we still matter and that we will get back on top. Make them feel lucky to face us now, without Bosh and whoever else we pick up next year. Right now, we'll take them on in a 2-7 match up. Next year, we'll see them in ECF.
Wiggins will win it. Mirotic may end up being the best player of the group. Mirotic's run will be too little too late where Wiggins what's been more consistent through the year
The thing that interested me about that (since I didn't see the game) was Luigi Datome not coming in until the 4th quarter. The dude was killing Miami two weeks ago, and they don't put him in until the 4th quarter, and then they start to come back hard on the Heat. Just saying, he seems to be a scorer that the Heat have trouble with and I thought I remembered him playing pretty good defense as well.
He took some terrible off balance three's in the 4th, early in the shot clock, outside of their play scheme......and they just went in. Maybe he is a guy, that coaches just don't / can't trust.
Who've you got in the finals and then winning it? I'm not sure anyone is going to be able to stop the rolling Warriors but if youth/lack of experience somehow manages to kill them in the playoffs, I think the Spurs have a chance to get back to the finals. On the East I think it has to be Hawks or Cavs. Those would be interesting story-lines if the Spurs get through because you'd have Spurs vs. Lebron (Reboot edition) (and a secondary story of maybe a new eastern rivalry with the Hawks - Spurs 2.0, looking to overthrow the Cavs) or you'd have Spurs vs. Spurs 2.0 - Justice League vs. Teen Titans. Although even if the upstarts can take it, either way the Spurs organisation will have won the league. Meanwhile, in Oklahoma, apparently this is true... #Thunder are now 1-11 against Western Conference playoff teams without Kevin Durant. Ouch.
Crazy thing about Wiggins is that a lot of his hype was based almost completely on that 13 game stretch where he was insane. First 26 games - 39% FG / 46% TS% Next 13 games - 51% / 59% Last 32 games - 44% / 51% I think he's going to be really good - but Nerlens has been doing a ton this year.
So do we want Indy or Milwaukee tonight? Do we forget the 6th seed and just root for losses behind us?
pretty funny stuff.. this show is very underrated, needs a better time slot for more audience.
The Spurs will be the 4 seed by the time the season is over. We won't see them until the Western Conference finals. #3 vs #4. Spurs will beat Golden State in round 2.
