 I can see it now someone trading their whole draft class because they just didn't fit the team.

Floating out WR Andrew Hawkins (11th rated WR by PFF last year, 800+ receiving yards) and DL Clinton McDonald (positive PFF player, one of the better pass-rushing interior linemen around) for relatively cheap.

Have a pending trade that could go down easier if I move a few pieces. Not given them away, but am flexible. PM me if interested. Looking for picks, S or LBs.

Yeah, why have a 5-8 guy who produces when you can fill your roster with 6-3 guys who don't?

I have a few hours to make some trades today. I'm looking to wheel and deal a little bit.

I have the following picks and players I'm looking to package together to move up a little in the draft:

    6.162
    6.173
    6.187
    6.190
    6.191
    7.207
    WR, Ted Ginn
    CB, Jerraud Powers

Also, I would be willing to trade one of my higher picks for a solid, starting offensive lineman (C or LT)...

**** ya'll, I'm taking Andrew Hawkins thread down.

Now who is interested in Gavin Escobar?

In all seriousness, Escobar is a really good No. 2 TE option for those looking to add a red-zone target to the mix. He was going to be our starter but is expendable after we brought in Dwayne Allen. He's 24, has 6 TD receptions in two years on just 28 targets and is simply waiting for a chance to get out of Jason Witten's shadows. The best part is, we're not asking for much for him.

A little delayed, but the Cincinnati Bengals are thrilled to announce two new additions, one of whom is ELITE (suck it) at his respective position.

First is TE Dwayne Allen. Dude is a touchdown machine and is capable of lining up away from the LOS, adding to what should easily be the most dynamic passing game in the NFL. He gives Drew Brees another target, adding to a loaded arsenal that includes A.J. Green, Jordy Nelson, Andrew Hawkins and Andre Holmes (average of 1,019 receiving yards per player last year, all 29 or younger). Allen and Zach Miller form a really nice 1-2 punch. 9th rated TE by PFF this past season, numbers should increase as he's no longer part of such a rigged two-TE system.

Next, and most importantly, is DT Muhammad Wilkerson. Simply stated, he's one of the most menacing and dominant interior linemen around and is just entering his prime. He graded out +19.2 against the run (tops among all 3-4 DEs) and +11.5 as a pass rusher (6th) this past year. We're asking him to make the transition to the 4-3, one that should be seamless given his size (6-4,315) and athleticism.

We don't think we have the best front seven in the GML, but Wilkerson certainly puts us in the conversation. Wilkerson and Kawaan Short (10th vs run, 11th vs pass among 4-3 DTs) may not have the name recognition, but football aficionados should appreciate the havoc these two will cause for offenses. Add in Carlos Dunlap and Ryan Davis (6.5 sacks in 2014, +19 PFF grade) and you have four guys forming an ELITE DL group for the next 5-6 years. Oh and we have Jared Allen, whose sacks went down last year but was atop leaders in total QB disrupts. A LB corps of Levonte David, Sio Moore and Jasper Brinkley aint nothing to turn your nose up at either, good luck running on this group.

These moves more or less puts the finishing touches on what we believe is the best roster in the league from top to bottom. The objective was to take a Top 10-14 roster that became stagnant and infuse energy into it with better, younger players to form a true title contender that could compete for a Super Bowl the next several seasons. With guys entering their prime like Wilkerson and Allen, we think we've taken another step towards that goal.

Wilkerson is an outstanding get. I like him a lot even though he's a jet.
On the other hand I've never been a Dwayne Allen fan. He had a 14.7% drop rate last year on 47 catchable targets (pff) and that's with the second best qb in the league throwing him the ball. Imagine if it was an average qb? His blocking skills are ok, not great and his speed is average for the position. He doesn't really work the seems well. To me he's a TE2 nothing more. If you're asking him to be more, you'll be disappointed IMO. I admittedly didn't look at what he would be on your depth chart. Your Wrs are money so hopefully he wouldn't see more then 5-6 targets a game which about in line with his drop rate (1 every 6 or so)

Different strokes for different folks. Look at what he did as a rookie in 2012 before his hip injury. Caught the ball at a significantly higher rate. So saying he has hand issues after one down season is a leap. Plus the 8 TDs cant be overlooked, he has a nose for scoring, that's important to us. Plus he's only 25, he theoretically should only get better

If you're basing Dwayne Allen's worth as a TE on one season's drop rate [which I think is a little superficial], then why don't you pick his rookie year when it was just 3%? If he's a #2 then what does that make the high second rounder backing him up?

Because what he did prior to his big injury is less relevant then how hes performing after a major injury. Make sense? Or at least some sense? How are people going to evaluate Dennis Pitta next year? Based on how he performed after his injury.

I think Todd's point is that categorizing him as having drops issues based on one season is unfair, especially when he has a 2 year sample size...and one year was great. And to devalue or overlook all his other strengths - ability to score, ypc, etc- is probably narrow minded on your part, imo

I got his point but at times recent history is more relevant then previous history. Personally, neither Colts TE is that impressive to me so its not like Im picking on poor Dwayne Allen lol.

That's fair. Just saying taking one stat from one year isn't conducive to making a definite conclusion on a player. Not how Id operate anyways. And the argument would hold up more if he didn't produce in other ways...just saying im not a proponent of focusing on one stat and ignoring the others

Its not just from one year. When I watched him at clemson his hands didnt impress me then. I saw him bobble and drop some. Todd will probably hate me for saying that and call me a Gamecock homer (im a SC alum) but the truth is I didnt want the Dolphins to draft him.

and his fairly impressive 2014 review that I posted? That's not recent or relevant? Allen is much more valuable to Indy's offense than you realize. It's why Fleener is the #2 TE in that offense.

Did you read your own review? It says theyre better with him on the field...running the ball. I.e. hes their #2 TE as a pass catcher. Which is what he should be in the NFL.

It also calls him a matchup nightmare and cites his ability to make plays (as a receiver) in the red zone. That's why we like him.

Not seeing it, never have with him. Frankly, I need to see him have that kind of season on the field to acknowledge that hes anything more then what I stated. Go have an 800 yard 8-10 TD season. It shouldnt be that hard with Luck throwing the ball in real life and ill be honest Im not overly impressed with the Colts beyond their QB. Their weapons are mediocre, their entire team is mediocre except for their QB. Todds done a pretty good job turning a pretty unimpressive roster in to a pretty good one.

EDIT: Also, please dont feel as though Im going after you personally Bdog. I think youve done well as well. Just not a fan of the player regardless of which team he goes to.

Why? He's a proven young back, the odds of you drafting someone who pans out are slim.

If I had a need and a 2? I'd be all over it.

Why? Because I have plenty of talent at RB (IMO) and I don't know if Belichick would use him as a full time back... I mean it's not like I'll accept #64 straight up for him.

If no one bites then I'm not going to heartbroken.
