Heat on the outside of playoffs after last night. Damn. With the way the Pacers are playing, missing the postseason is a real possibility. Man would that suck.
I want to make it but the thought of having a first round pick on this year's draft makes me excited on who we can add to the team... So im indifferent about it..... because we won't be able to add lottery picks in a long time after this year...
Because I have never seen such a one way player get hyped as much as he has without having ever done anything. and here is where I got the numbers from..he has since dropped to 7th: http://www.boxscoregeeks.com/players?direction=desc&positions[]=PG&sort=wins_produced
Lebron should be embarrassed. He looks like a scrub so far tonight. Put the headband back on, lol. Wade looks good.
Kyrie's defense is pathetic lol the Cavs defense is pathetic. Whether they face the Raptors or the hawks in the ECF, they will give up 115 ppg, they better be able to score 116.
Love those garbage time dunks and stare downs from LeBron after playing like garbage throughout and getting blown out and blocked all game.
THIS Year. When Dragic was missused in Phoenix. Last year, he was used correctly...and Dragic was Ahead of WADE. Hell..he was a MVP CANDIDATE. In the end..Dragic is a top 10 PG..Kyrie is supposed to be a top 5. Our guy is supposed to be the 3rd or 4th best player..Kyrie is supposed to be a #2. Apples and Oranges. Kyrie is Supposed to be better, and not by a "little". Also, Let's not pretend that Dragic didn't completely outplay Kyrie tonight H2H, and that he can't do it in a playoff series vs. Kyrie as well.
I looked at the Dragic shot charts when we picked him up, saw the red in the paint and didn't believe it was accurate. God damn can he finish.. He really is changing the offensive pace. If only we had a healthy Bosh and McBob..
Understandable with all the turnover.... They can win it all Next season with the right offseason and of course..health. I am DEAD serious.
Man is this team fun to watch when they're firing on all cylinders. The way Wade has been playing lately with Dragic, could you imagine if this guy were playing alongside a legitimate point guard his whole career? Championship contender or not, if this team can stay healthy next year they are going to be a lot of fun to follow. Oh, and that pass from Wade might have been one of the best passes I've ever seen. He threaded a pass between two defenders behind his back. It's a shame Dragic got blocked or that would have been on highlight reels for a long time.
You could make an argument that Kyrie has had to adjust to a new coach (who kinda looks like an idiot..), new players, being the 2nd option, etc. I'm not the biggest Kyrie fan but to just call him out for not being the top PG or even top 3 is kind of silly all things considered. It takes time for someone to learn to run an offense and learn the players, etc.
Every time you see the Heat rise up like this just makes the whole thing sadder that Bosh and McBob are both out. Even forgetting about McBob, if we had Bosh, I have no doubt that we'd be firmly in the 7th seed and looking to move up to 6th. Oh well. Whiteside was spectacular as well last night. LeBron barely even tested the paint in the first half while he was in. In the two games since the suspension he's been terrific. If there really was something going on in his personal life (and that wasn't just an excuse for doing something stupid) then I hope it's resolved and he can continue to play like this. For all the stuff that has happened to the Heat, the bottom line is that we have the best player (by a fair margin) and the best coach (at least the most proven) of the 4 teams fighting for the last two spots. As long as Wade stays healthy and plays like he's been playing, I think we'll find our way in
Also - Kyrie is getting ready to turn 23 and in his 4th year and Dragic is getting ready to turn 29 and been in the league 7 years.
I am not calling him out. He is great. One of the VERY BEST scorers in the NBA. I am calling out the media, that lost their minds for a little while there. The BS they were pushing last week was giggle worthy.
What's not discussion worthy? The strawman that got erected in here about comparing Kyrie and Dragic?
I don;t know why people have to get defensive about a guy taking a little criticism with a strawman of a player comparison that nobody is making.
Deservedly so. He was terrific last night. So much potential to his offensive game. He's already a beast defensively. Just needs to keep his head on striaght
It seemed last night like there was a team effort on LeBron in terms of defense, and then they just relied on Whiteside to close down the paint so that Kyrie doesn't go off for another 50 points. From there they just needed the Cavs to go cold from beyond the arc, which they did...11 of 33 and a couple of those 11 makes didn't come until the end when the Heat had built up an insurmountable lead. That sound like an accurate representation of what happened? I thought it relevant to this Kyrie discussion because it felt like with the way Miami was playing, the sombrero was on Kyrie to where if he would've been up to the task he could've had like 35 points.
You compared all pgs to Kyrie it seemed like a fair question. No one is getting defensive I don't like Kyrie anymore than Dragic.Im a wiz fan I hope they both stink.
Pretty much...but Spo did trust Deng to take Lebron One on One for stretches, and Irving's issue was just a 7 footer that was going to deny his paint attacks. Kyrie missed some open shots, and voila...out of sync...heat shot well..blow out was on. Rio, and Dragic (if you noticed...Spo kept his rotation SHORT in the back court) did a very nice job on all of Kyrie's P&R's. They played GREAT team defense on Lebron as well.
I compared him to the very best PG's in the game..namely the top 5 in the league and said he was not in their company. Where does Dragic fit in all this?
It was nice to get a sense of where a Boshless Heat team COULD be versus a Loveless Cavs team. But I think if they have Love, last night doesn't quite go down the way it did.
Cavs were also on the end of a fairly brutal little stretch of schedule. A "scheduled loss" as Sec would call it.
