Really, really sucks. Hopefully, early in the year. And hopefully to make it one of the most epic games ever. With Mass Effect not out till 2016 too, the rest of the year is looking kinda bleak.

Damn, well at least Metal Gear will be out this year. That will probably consume most if not all of my game time for a while.

Me too, but after the Show, and then after that probably nothing until Madden. And then....I guess we'll see.

The game's been delayed again, this time about a month (so far). April 26th is the new target. Throws my personal gaming schedule off now, unless AC: Syndicate takes me longer to play through than the series usually does.

I hadn't seen this before, but the game will eventually get three seperate story mode DLC packs, which is the first for the series. I'm excited about it. The Uncharted series is, for me, unique in that you can replay it bit by bit, but jumping into an individual chapter, rather than replaying the whole game. With all three previous games, I've done this both to find objects I may have missed the first time through, and just to have fun. I'm not sure if I'll do that with the DLC packs, or whether I'll start new. We'll see how they make them and how it all fits together, I guess.

I'll have to pick up the ports of Uncharted 1-3. Never played the series, though I did get 3 bundled with my PS3.

Its an excellent series. Playing the games is like being in an interactive Hollywood action movie, with great writing and voice acting. Each of them has been absolutely top notch for the time that it was released. The climbing mechanics and physics of the first one were amazing to me when I got it. Also taught me how to play a cover based third person shooter.

It's not great writing to include wave after wave of enemies in areas that are at least one (but usually multiple) of the following: 1. Difficult to get to, 2. Difficult to find, or 3. Difficult to remain hidden in. One man army, Drake should not be.

The first uncharted was excellent. Top 10 game of all-time to me. The sequels were OK. still had great visuals, with mediocre stories, but still fun to play.

Well, when I say writing I mean the story and the dialogue, and stand by my comment that I feel that they are excellent in all three games.

The other stuff I would call level design. But hey, the game really is all about Drake being a one man army a lot of the time, sort of like some action movies are. It forces you to come up with a plan and a solution as to how to get through each section. For me, its a game that makes me think.

I love the series but the bullet sponge enemies and repetitive waves of enemies is probably my only gripe w the games.

I still think Naughty Dog's cinematic gameplay is among the best in the biz. And the characters are likable and the visuals are top notch (at least for consoles).

I played the 2nd one first because it coincided with me buying a PS3. Then went back and played 1... Uncharted 2 was the best game I've played on either a PS3 or PS4. And it probably has more to do with it being the first quality game I played at the time. There's certainly been some great ones since.

I don't play many games of its nature. GTA and Mass Effect, along with Falout 4, are the only real 3rd person shooters I've played (I don't do anything first person), and with those, you don't really need to strategize conserving ammo like in Uncharted, nor do you need to take extreme caution with cover, so for me its cool and special. Obviously with almost any video game, you have enemies you can take a lot more bullets than a real person can, but of course, Drake can take a huge amount as well and if you hide and wait, he gets better, so it all evens out

Interesting article about what went on behind the scenes of the game. Apparently almost a year's worth of work was completely scrapped when a new team took over the direction. That would certainly be a good reason as to why the release date was pushed back six months, and then again after that.

Damn. I guess that they need to do what they need to do to make it a good game, but still disapointing. I guess based on what I read in that article I linked, I shouldn't be shocked. I guess with very few big releases on the PS4 calandar in the second quarter, they can afford to push it back and not lose many sales. Though I'll likely now pick up the new Ratchet & Clank game on 4/12. Before, I was going to wait until I was done with Uncharted before I got that one.

10X is a big deal. As much as I love the first three games, levels tend to be "hallways", where the player has little choice over where to go or how to get there. Giving multiple options not only makes it more fun, but leads to replay value as well.

Picked up my copy today. Walmart is pathetic and didn't even have the games out in the case yet, even though I waited until after noon to go. The girl working the electronics dept suggested I come back another time, lol. I asked politely if she could check and maybe ask someone who knew :pity:

The game is great. It's far more narrative driven than past games, especially in the beginning. But the gameplay feels less floaty and more natural. And obviously the visuals and presentation are stunning. Naughty Dog is amazing.

I played through the first two real sections, and it took me about an hour and a half. The game is stunningly georgous and feels alive and real. Naughty Dog does such an amazing job of making it feel like the whole world is right there and you could in theory go anywhere and touch anything if you could make it. Its amazing. Thus far, its rivaling The Witcher 3 for the best looking game I've ever played. The controls are extremely responsive as always, and so far its been technically flawless, as I've come to expect from the series.

As BlameIt said, the early parts are heavily story driven, but these guys basiclally let you play through a great adventure movie, so its just the natural progression. I'm playing on the standard difficulty, and I've died A LOT. Watch your step, or down you go. Thankfully, you restart pretty close to where you were before each time. On this level at least, the game assumes that you know what you're doing, but gives a few hints here and there.

I'm going to enjoy this for all its worth and I think it'll have replay value, as the games always have before. Sad that its the end, but maybe the studio will have other games in the future that don't involve zombies so that I can enjoy them

I don't want to spoil anything, but the chapters that involving driving the jeep are amazing. They have taken the driving mechanics and physics and ramped them up a notch, even over games where that's a much larger part of the experience, and the way that Drake then uses the Jeep with the enviormnent is awesome. Naughty Dog not only makes great games themselves, they move the needle for the industry.

finished this game on Sunday night. It was a bit short (about 25 hours for me) but really enjoyed it. The graphics were insanely good and the play and story was as good as the first Uncharted and >>> than either Uncharted 2 or 3 IMO.
