Re-watched the episode. In one shot its very clearly written graffitti that says "Wolves are coming", I caught that the first time, but didn't give it much meaning. However watching the second time, in the very beginning when they are driving they showed a barn that was on fire, it also had graffiti sprayed on it saying "Wolves are coming"

[edit] That and all the zombie heads had "W" carved in to them. I think for those who have read the comic book, this won't be too big of a mystery.

that was a bummer to see Tyreese go. My wife and I were always hoping Sasha would be the first of the two, but I can't imagine the same episode could have been made with Sasha since her only relevant interactions were with Bob.

also makes you wonder, with all the bites to arms, necks and legs you see in the show, wouldn't the simple solution be to use some makeshift plates to protect your vital areas? guess that would make for too boring of a show.

if you go back and rewatch it again, there's writing on the wall where Tyreese and Noah sat in the intersection of that gated community.. I believe it said "Wolves Not Far"

Last night's episode was kinda "meh."
Basically them bummed out and starving, walking down the road for an hour looking for water and then sleeping in a barn. I guess the scene with them all holding the barn door closed from the walkers signified they were all still working together. Interesting that Rick finally acknowledged that they were the Walking Dead.
Next week looks to have a little more action, going by the way it ended and the previews.

I finally got around to watching last week's episode today... I'd actually deleted it on accident from the DVR last week  Anyway, pretty decent episode.. but the Talking Dead afterwards was great... Seth Gilliam who plays Father Gabriel was really good... and of course Maggie was on the couch too... always hot... and then they had the guy who plays Penguin on Gotham there too (he had a small role previously on TWD). good stuff amongst the four of them.

Really enjoyed this last episode. I'm starting to like Rick a whole lot more... He went from being Jack (from lost), the king of screwups, to making something of himself. I'm really enjoying his don't give a ****, survive at all costs attitude.

Now the question becomes, what is this "community?" It it's not legit, then it's Terminus and Woodbury all over again. I wouldn't be excited for that so soon. If it's legit, does that mean we're looking at another Prison? Farming and pig herding? Very curious to see what comes next.

well, it can't be too legit or there would be little point in the show anymore. unless they take the angle again that it's legit and someone comes along and wrecks the community again (aka the prison story). guess it comes down to whether the "wolves" are already in the community or they will come in future episode.

The last Talking dead episode was interesting too.The Katana girl has evolved into one of the main characters and the actress that plays her is interesting in real life too.

From a dark start of the season its developing into a more hopeful vein.Of course it could turn out into another Terminus situation but thats part of the drama. My favorite episode of this year.

I watched the talking dead after last nights episode and they were talking about a hidden Easter egg. What were they referring to?

havent seen talking dead yet, but i'm assuming it's something to do with wolves again. The comic book that Carl finds I think was called a Wolf's Story or something. one q from last night's ep, great one btw.... Rick's stashed gun has been taken. He walked there from the new home. My recollection was that the hut he hid the gun at was further than just walking distance wasn't it? okay, and who took the gun? someone must have followed him there from when they were driving in. does that mean there is someone not to be trusted in the group (new or old)?

i asked the same questions on a different forum got 2 answers

-Latin quote on the officer patch on Rick's new uniform.
-the "skin off your back walker" was the same performer that played a walker who killed Dale

either one pretty lame to me..lol

reading somewhere else that the girl could be a spy for the wolves - might explain why she is distant and goes off on her own.

I was thinking she was part of the 3 people who were exiled. I think the person who took the gun could be the guy who was following Rick (from the first year (who couldn't shot his walker wife), and later last year).

    A lone wolf of sorts.

Probably sneaks away and takes supplies to the wolves. Wouldn't be shocked if it was one of them who ends up with Rick's gun.

My favorite part of this episode was Carol. I liked the way she portrayed herself a weak home-body. They will dismiss her very fast, then she'll slit their throats.

that makes sense. the other site i was reading was also suggesting that the walker buried under the gun (where it was supposed to be) could have been put there by the person who stole the gun since he wasn't there the first time

only a spoiler if you don't watch the talking dead...

but they are having a "surprise" guest next week... usually that means someone is about to be killed off and they don't want to say who...my money is on Sasha... or the mullet dude.

    - Carol's speech to the little boy was amazing. I'm loving her as the spy of the group. She's a perfect fit.

    - I liked Sasha's outburst. Unlike Maggie who could give a **** about her sister, Sasha is still reeling from Tyrese's death. I'm actually very curious how Tyrese would of adjusted to Alexandria had he lived.

    - It's an interesting turn to see Rick and co. acting... shady. I never liked the Governor's back story. I never understood why he was so sadistic, given his former life. He didn't go through the struggle Rick's group has. It was like a flip just switched in his head and he became the villain because it's what the show needed. I thought they dropped the ball with that aspect of his character. It should of played out as one man's terrorist is one man's freedom fighter, but we could never sympathize with him because there was no reason to. He's just a psycho. Rick and co. turn to the dark side (sort of, they're still good people at their core) is far more interesting because their actions seem justified given what we know. Rick's speech about people measuring you by what they can take for you sums it up well. I'm liking where Alexandria is headed so far. I wouldn't mind a civil war of sorts, where Rick and co. take over Alexandria. This might be breaking bad territory and would fit perfectly. The good guys become darker and darker and we question why we're rooting for them.

    - Loving that Spanish chick. She needs more screen time.

    - The show hasn't known what to do with Daryl since Merle's death. Hopefully his new arc gets interesting.

    - Where the **** is Morgan? We were teased with him early on. I kind of figured he would of caught up by now. Only three episodes left, so his entrance better be amazing.

Kind of get the feeling that Darryl could potentially turn into more of the model citizen given his building relationship with guy that showed him the motorcycle. would be interesting if he became more of the moral compass and had to keep Rick from turning bad.

pretty decent episode... just reintegrating back into society... friggin Rick at the end, putting his hand up to the wall with the walker on the other side. Would have been better if he lifted up his shirt and rubbed his titties on the wall  You do wonder when it's all going to turn to ****. All it takes is a big horde to come by and take down a piece of the wall. I'm guessing the W's will be the cliff hanger at the end of the season.

Hate the artsy direction this show is going in. The Tyreese episode. The nonsensical Sasha scene shooting the family portraits and geekin' out for no reason between shots. And cap it off with the ridiculous Rick, hand on the wall scene with the zombie to end this week's episode. Be a show about killing ****ing zombies and STFU. I hate when these ridiculous shows start taking themselves too seriously. It's what made Sons of Anarchy unwatchable towards the end.

At first I never really liked Sasha. She's becoming more like able lately to me, probably because she reminds me of the comic version of Andrea. I have a feeling that's where she's heading as a character.

That's what I was thinking. The scene when the guy snuck up on him at the woods and said something about Darryl being able to tell the difference between good guys and bad guys, and him not shoo-win the other guy away as well as the dinner/motorcycle scene combined with him speaking up on wether or not they even need the weapons.

Good guess, didn't think of that. I was thinking it was the girl that sneaks out, one that Carl followed. Or of course some unknown character that hasn't been revealed yet.

I chalk it up to the governor's daughter dying. Initially he wasn't a complete psycho, the downward spiral began after Michonne "killed" his zombie daughter. He couldn't accept it as made clear by the fact that he had her locked up as a zombie. When forced to face the reality of it, it ate away at him. Look at Carol, very meek at first, battered spouse and all, didn't seem like much of a survivor until after her daughter died. She didn't go completely crazy like the governor because she was able to accept it. Regardless, it left a dark place inside of her that we've seen since then. Rick's "dark" side is mostly paranoia and a deep desire to protect his own children.

The governor was gunning down national guard troops prior to his daughter "dying". Who knows what he was doing before that. He was everything the show needed him to be, he didn't evolve via circumstances. He was a fun character, but his development was weak.

Technically she was dead all along. He seemed to get worse as time went by. I don't have a problem with how they did it. They just don't have the air time to show a million reasons why the governor was so ruthless, sadistic, power hungry, etc. They gave us something and while it alone may not seem like enough [probably because tragic things happen constantly on the TWD] it was still to me a dark enough event. It stands to reason that a world like that is going to just turn some people into sociopaths.

Last night was OK. I didn't find it as interesting as the last few episodes. Seemed like a setup episode, with a few cool moments.

    - What was the deal with Gabriel? Talk about ungrateful and hypocritical. There was some truth in what he said, that Rick's group will protect themselves before all others. As far as having done bad things, I think locking out your parishioners and leaving them to die doesn't exactly qualify him as a good person either. They saved his life numerous times too. I really hate that character. I have a feeling he's not long for the world, one way or another.

    - Carol told Rick that he has to kill the drunk husband (Tom?) and now Maggie overheard the priest conversation. Looks like their backs are slowly being pushed against the wall. And Glenn and co. have to explain to Diana why her son is dead. She responded well to the right hook, but I doubt his death goes over well. While I don't think Rick will kill anyone for domestic abuse, the fact that Carol even suggested it shows how far gone they've become. Rick banished Carol for killing sick people, I wonder how he reacts to her request/demand. If he declines, does Carol take matters into her own hands? Remember, She and Rick are the only two with guns...

    - Either way, I think a civil war or some power shift is going to occur. Rick's group and the Alexandrian's are on entirely different pages and I don't think they will or even can, meet in the middle. Rick's group was out there too long. They've encountered too many hardships and ****ed up scenario's to become domesticated townspeople. Like Daryl said about the horse, in the wild, you revert to what you really are. Rick's group are survivors by any means necessary.

    - TPTB said they wanted to make the zombies more dangerous this year... They've done it. Every few episodes, someone is dying. Sometimes it's a bigger character like Tyrese, other times it's a smaller character. That might of been the sickest zombie death to date. They ripped him to shreds. I was honestly surprised they went that far.

    - Wolves: We've seen a number of hints to a group of survivors who call themselves Wolves... They've attacked a town (the one where Tyrese got bit), stuffed Zombies into vans/trucks, and have cut "W's" into zombies foreheads. Or maybe they were alive first, then became Zombies. Clearly they're a looming threat. We've also seen the town's people wanting to reinforce the wall in case of a horde attack. Rick's group also has Sasha in the watch tower, as a scout... For people or walkers.

My prediction is the finale introduces the wolves. Either in an overt way, or perhaps an appearance of some sort. Maybe the next episode will be the seeds of a civil war as Diana deals with her sons death and Gabriel's warning. That puts Rick's group on the defensive and they start planning to counter. In the finale, Rick will basically make his move and declare Marshall Law of some sort. Obviously Alexandria is no match for them, they'll lose that fight. In the meantime, the Wolves or walker horde will be introduced. In the end, maybe everyone comes together to fight the threat. Diana is proved right, Rick's group and their skills prove useful and they'll win. The walls will hold and they'll fend off an attack from wolves/walkers. Rick takes charge, and the finale ends with him giving a similar speech that he gave after the horde attacked Herschel's farm. Only without the Ricktatorship part. He tells Alexandria that they're soft and incapable of understanding the world outside. And while they may not like how things are going to be run, they'll have to deal with it or leave.
