hehe I was thinking the same thing, but I didn't want to be the one to call him out! This is the only Randy White that I know of.
Actually all that BS was started by the UFC throwing more money at big name FA's than Randy makes. The Fedor fight was part of it but not the whole deal.
Hm...That comming from a guy whos sig says that hes a MMA noob )) When Fedor will beat his ***...every single person who was insisting that Randy will beat him will start yelling that Randy is too old, and that five years ago he would of destroyed Fedor... Blah Blah Blah...
Nobody's invincible. But the thing about Fedor is, he's never lost. Yeah, there was a technicality due to a cut 8 years ago (which he avenged). But in battle, he's never once had that 'bump' in his record. Even Silva has been submitted a few times along the way. Not this guy. If Randy doesn't beat him, who will? Fedor already has two wins over the current UFC heavyweight champ (Nogueira).
Fujita had him wobbling....Before he submited him. Thats the only fight that I ever watched thinking...wow this might be the one he wont win...and he won.
Fujita was no joke. How about where Randleman put one of the all-time greatest slams on him......and then got submitted less than a minute later? Nobody's perfect. Everybody gets roughed up at this level. But the dude finishes.
I think that slam, works to show fedors toughness...He doesnt just get rebounded from being slammed on his face http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSGAtH8KqAg he submits the guy less than 60 seconds after that.
So thats where Sisqo went.... edit: That looked like it hurt..real bad! I had that done to me in HS freestyle wrestling, it tickles a little...
Robbie Lawler needs to throw in the towel if he cant win this one. And what ever happened to Nick Diaz and the UFC?
There was some kind of fallout there. I know they wouldn't let him in to one of his brother's fights a few months back.
I remember they wouldnt let him corner Nate's fight but I don't know why that would lead to all this.
i remember it was after the diego sanchez fight....nick like threw a shoe at him or something ridiculous while they were both in the hospital gettin patched up....and he wasnt thrilled about the decision.... hes a punkass....i never liked nick diaz
Both of the Diaz' are out there. But theres far worse people in the UFC imo. Namely Chris Leben, Karo Paryshian, etc.
Yea he is kind of a punkass. Nate is too to a certain point. But at least with Nate you can see he does show some respect sometimes and does shut up. The whole shoe thing or whatever it was, I would think it would be more of scumbag move if it wasnt towards a guy like Diego Sanchez. Don't get me wrong, Sanchez is a great fighter. But I think the guy's a tool. He always has to act like a tough guy no matter what and I dont like people that feel like they need to do that. Normally I'd say I like people who act more like Rampage who can turn it on and off. But given recent events...
UFC 90: Silva vs Cote WHY??? I see almost 0 chance for Cote. Another walk in the park for Anderson IMO. Sanchez vs. Alvez Now that should be one hell of a fight. http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/dailynews.asp?articleid=6773&zoneid=13
Even the chick fight was entertaining. Love the part where the chick thought she won...if I was the other chick I would have so blind sided her.....lol.The Diaz fight was the fight of the night, IMO. Main event did not dissapoint, except I thought Smith looked out of shape. Like you, I was very happy they left out the circus crap.
figured i'd throw this out there, in the wake of last weekend's dueling MMA shows, and the discussion about who the best fighter pound for pound is. people are still talking about the possibility of Fedor vs Randy. and i cannot blame them, i would love to see it too. but, and let me preface this by saying Randy Couture is my favorite fighter bar none, i am more intrigued at this point by the possibility of a fight between Fedor and Andersen Silva. with the Spider coming up to 205 and dominating the Sandman, is it unrealistic to think Fedor and he could mix it up? Fedor fights around 230 pounds, doesn't he? or am i mistaken about that? either way, he always looks as though he could stand to lose some weight, even though he is in good shape obviously from his performances, he is obviously carrying extra weight in the ring. plus i have heard Rogan say before that Andersen Silva walks around at 215 before cutting weight for his fights at 185. so how about the two of them at 205, just throwing that out there. i know politics would probably never let the fight happen, but i can still dream. thoughts?
I think it would be a mistake for Silva to go after Fedor. He'd be all over the place in weight and passing over a ton of interesting opponents at 205.
Fedor would dominate Silva....he's just simply too big. He man handles people like Silvia, he would have a hard time catching up to Silva's speed but as soon as he did it would be over. Like Slick said though, the 205 division is stacked and possibly the most talented division in the UFC. He has way too many quality opponents to tackle to even dream of fighting the likes of Fedor.
Yea thats def a pretty crappy card. The only reason I may watch this is to hopefully see Leban and Vera get knocked out.
Perhaps he knew what the outcome was going to be, so he self-medicated early to ease the eventual pain that was about to be inflicted on himself once he signed the contract to fight Silva.
Looks like ufc is doing everything they can, to overhype the "pound for pound champ" sivla Silva = Cro Cop of UFC. They just kept on feeding him small time fighters, that he kicked around. When he fought real competition (A guy by name Fedor) He was running away from his after first round. Same thing with this dude. He keeps on fighting scrubs...I guarantee you, one day his *** gonna get knocked out.
no offense, but I wouldn't necessarily call Rich Franklin a scrub, and Anderson Silva took care of him easily.....2 times I might add.
No offense, but your opinion of Silva is baffling. I understand you have a gigantic crush on Fedor but that should have 0 to do with Silva. Thats like me saying that a lighter guy like Sanchez or whoever isn't very good bc I'm a fan of a Liddel or anyone else thats in a much higher weight division and is 40lbs heavier. Makes no sense. Cro Cop got beat twice by scrubs. So if your saying all Anderson fights is scrubs then wouldnt he have been beaten like 7 times by now? Franklin is no scrub, Henderson is def no scrub, and Irvin was not a scrub. If you actually watch how Silva takes people apart and how accurate and smart he fights, you would see why people have such high regard for him. He makes very few mistakes and makes his fights look "easy" at times. If you wana be a homer for Fedor thats fine, but don't insult people in other weight classes because you have such love for one guy. Your argument that Silva is overhyped bc Fedor is so badass makes no sense. And as far as getting fed easy opponents to look better, isn't Fedor the guy that just fought Tim Sylvia? If thats not a prime example of a garbage opponent who was always overhyped then I duno what is. The one thing I will agree with you on is that Cote has no business getting a fight with Silva. Thats a waste of a card.
