Would be pretty cool to see Whiteside average a double double on the year. He's close now, average rebounds up to 9.0 and he's getting more minutes so that will keep inching up.
You could make an argument that Lebron would have been better off staying in Miami, if he was on that roster now they would be the favorites to win the title but with him in Cleveland they are still the favorites to win the East for the next few years. You really have no objectivity when it comes to Lebron, its not like he isn't still far and away the best player in the East right now. Cleveland looks really good right now, I'm not sure if you have seen them play lately but they look like the best team in the East.
Hard to find somebody more objective than me on Lebron. YES. They look great now. Lebron IS the best player in the world. The Cavs Eff. Ratings ALL STINK.
You know you're a Magic fan when losing sucks, but you're still happy your team didn't get blown out. Maybe next year we'll get a real coach and eventually be competitive again.
I wonder if Spo will consider starting Walker and Deng. Haslem, god bless him, is killing our spacing. Even though we couldn't hit the broadside of a barn for 3 1/2 quarters last night, the spacing was far better when Walker and Deng were playing together.
Haslem is a GREAT defender, and with Bosh out, we need a new guy to call out the defensive signals to start a game.
SUPER COOL BEAS IS BACK!!! I know he has been a knucklehead, but damn I love this guy. Henry Walker and Super Cool Beas reunited in Miami. Per Heat's instagram: https://instagram.com/p/zkrbYFEMoP
Yeah it pretty much goes without saying that Haslem is going to hurt the offense but that's not why he's there. You have to hope between Whiteside, Dragic, Wade and Deng you've got enough offense to make it work. So far, so good.
Beas isn't a good defender but he does have 3 pt range and can create his own shot. Desperate times....
I hope so because the dude has a ton of talent. When we drafted him I thought we had another Carmelo on our hands but he pretty much smoked himself out of the league.
God I wish we would stop bringing that loser back... I hope he gets no minutes and leaves after 10 days. Horrible basketball player. Bad move Riley, I rather sign just about anyone over Beasley
Hopefully this works out. Beasley always had great offensive ability. He certainly fits the need for a stretch 4. While the organization was wondering about his impact on Whiteside, I wonder if a reformed Henry Walker can help straighten Beasley out. They are former college teammates.
What was weird about Beasley...was that he was actually pretty good last year, and busted out anyway.
You gotta think with the Beasley and Walker signings, Spo realizes that this team needs offense badly with CB out for the year. Seems like we will be content playing relatively small and quick with Hassanity, Bird, and UD being our bigs.
My guess what this means is Ennis will no longer see a meaningful minute unless it's garbage time or an injury. Ennis and Tyler definitely need a full offseason though before they're ready.
wut? Their new starting 5 since the trades has best net rtg in the league. Also - top 5 in net pt diff for the entire yr. And they've only played together since 1/15!

Wow, can you imagine having the 3rd, 4th, and 5th best players in the world on one team? No way any team beats that, let alone smacks them in 5 games.
Off., Def., Reb. Rate, PACE, TO, as a whole...stink. The WHOLE season counts. As for Pt. Diff., they are NOT top 5. They are 8th. As for Net Rating, their Net Rating is currently 8th as well. (Eff. Diff.) All of those numbers stink compared to every champion in NBA History.
Derrick Rose still makes the list? I think Monta belongs in there somewhere. But otherwise....HASSANITY!!
Yeah, it's quite a fall, though not his fault. Still, I would swap Monta for him at this point. there's no doubt which guy you'd rather have right now. No super cool Beas? lol God, how bad did that 2008 draft turn out for us? Literally anyone else in the top 5. ANYONE. Even Mayo would've been a rotation player for us.
I can't believe I I closed the stream last night with 45 seconds left...checked my phone and saw OT, tried reopening the stream but couldn't click through all the hidden x's on all the damn ads in time. Definitely getting league pass next year. And I'm late to this, but my buddy showed me this yesterday and it might explain Isaiah Canaan getting traded away from Dwight lawls. https://sports.vice.com/article/why-did-dwight-howard-grab-his-teammates-dick
I have to say I've enjoyed League Pass after getting the half season package. The app is great and streams really well. Much more consistent stream than the Sunday ticket app. And the Heat always has both Home and Away feeds. Although I was stuck listening to the Magic guys last night, which was kind of fun during the collapse.
Not sure why you're using the entire years worth of stats to predict the future when the roster went through a major overhaul. If we're looking at future results, best to look at stats of players that are on the team now, right? Best offense Best net rating 7th best defense 17-2 w one loss coming when Love sat a game. They're good.
I didnt know they offered that. Is it prorated? Yeah, I would like to check out the away feeds for something different. The Orlando fans last night on realgm made the win exponentially more satisfying.
Yeah, saw it a little over a week ago. I was disgusted. He's worn out his welcome here in Houston. That's why I said earlier that I was happy Canaan got away from Dwight (a bad influence). This is why I can't wait until he's gone. The best thing he's done is help bring over Josh Smith, who has been playing really damn awesome the last few weeks. What a waste of $20+ mil per season! He's not in my top 50. Not even close: My personal opinion (heavy emphasis on win shares and overall dominance this season)... 1. Lebron James 2. James Harden 3. Anthony Davis 4. Steph Curry 5. Russell Westbrook 6. Kevin Durant 7. Lamarcus Aldridge 8. Chris Paul 9. Demarcus Cousins 10. Marc Gasol 11. Kyrie Irving 12. Pau Gasol 13. Damian Lillard 14. Deandre Jordan 15. Jimmy Butler 16. Al Horford 17. Kevin Love 18. Klay Thompson 19. John Wall 20. Blake Griffin 21. Paul Millsap 22. Kyle Lowry 23. Gordon Hayward 24. Tim Duncan 25. Nikola Vucevic 26. Andre Drummond 27. Zach Randolph 28. Chris Bosh 29. Jeff Teague 30. Brandon Knight 31. Ty Lawson 32. Greg Monroe 33. Serge Ibaka 34. Eric Bledsoe 35. Tyreke Evans 36. Tyson Chandler 37. Mike Conley 38. Draymond Green 39. Dirk Nowitzki 40. Jonas Valanciunas 41. Derrick Favors 42. Monta Ellis 43. Kawhi Leonard 44. Rudy Gay 45. Goran Dragic 46. Giannis Antetokounmpo 47. Marcin Gortat 48. Wesley Matthews 49. Hassan Whiteside 50. Jaokim Noah
Boy...you really Hate Dwyane Wade. Not in the top 50? Did I imagine this?: http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics/_/position/sg
Nah, I like Wade. I've ragged on him in the past simply to piss a lot of you guys off because of people getting on Harden, but he's a first ballot HOFer. I wouldn't call him a top 50 player this year because he's been hurt too much. 5 of his teammates have more win shares than him. (Deng, Bosh, Dragic, Whiteside, Bird) Besides my personal hatred for Dwight, his win shares suck also...which is why he isn't on my list either. I don't think either of them are dominant this year.
Yeah but the Cavs kind of have two different seasons. Over the last 10-15 games they are possibly the best team in the league. Considering they basically fielded a new team from the start it isn't all that surprising that they had to feel their way. I think they will be in the Finals, I was hoping as a Wizards fan that they would be really vulnerable but they look to be putting it together. They can be beaten though, they can't sleep walk through games and just pull them out late in the playoffs, they will be at home watching the finals if that is the case.
Irving, Love and Mozgov have not played a minute of meaningful defense and two of those guys never played a minute in the playoffs. They're also relying on JR. Smith. And they have a complete boob as a coach. His comments tonight were ridiculous. I'll believe it when I see it
