JT for a 1st and 3rd is what parcells wants?

It's that kind of thinking that leaves people really disappointed. I don't know if you've been paying attention we are about to be 1-15, and yes we are that far away. Can't ge much farther than that.You trade him now and make the team collectively better by getting younger. JT can't be replaced or else every team would have one. We have to get better every where else to make up for his absense.

 

You know what? You don't need to be an *** about it. So your opinion is different than mine. I can tell you right now that it isn't any more valid than mine, nor is it any more a truth than mine is. It's opinion; like mine is.
I base my opinion on certain criteria. You apparently base your opinion on different criteria.
I'm basing mine on the following: Our starting QB went out for good early in the season. Our #1 playmaker on offense (who was at one time leading the league in yards from scrimmage) also went down for the season early on. We also lost our MLB after 5 games. Then there was a rash of injuries to our safeties.
As for trading JT now and making the team collectively better by getting younger; that's your opinion. But it's not a fact. Jamar Fletcher didn't make us better yet he was younger than Madison and Surtain. Eddie Moore didn't make us better, even though he was younger than Thomas. Getting the next Lawrence Taylor would make us better, but getting the next Brian Bosworth would not. You want to talk about what would leave people disappointed? Trading away JT just for the sake of getting younger only to find out that we drafted a Bosworth clone would leave most disappointed.

 

I agree with you. Another example, has essentially replacing Surtain with Matt Roth made our team better? IMO, definitely not. He's barely hanging on to his starting spot vs a 7th rounder in Rod Wright.

 

I don't think Bill wants to let JT go and thats why he put out the first and third. Just like we didn't think anyone would give us a second for Welker.
