Fans these days need a bunch of fancy schmancy crap to watch football. Heck, a true fan should be able to sit for 3 hrs on bleacher seats and be fine. All those rich *** fvcks that buy those luxury suites think they are too damn good to sit down in the open air with common fans. Screw every one of them.

$75,000 for four recliners, a TV (or four smaller TVs) and iPads.

Oh, also there's food and drinks. And football.

    Seventy-five thousand dollars. For this.

That's a dumb way to look at it if we're making money off the people willing to pay for these.

this is your upgrades folks....Ross is telling you in your face, I don't give a crap about the TRUE fans....we really need another owner bad. This guy just doesn't get it. They have NEVER once sold all those club seats, and now they are spending millions to install these....instead of upgrading for everyone.

Oh the private entrance & exit that is being paid for with tax dollars.....some democracy we have here now.

And to think he wanted to have OUR tax dollars pay for this. Wouldn't have been nice to have that EMT/Fireman that was laid off so the 1%'ers can have their luxury living rooms ?

    Wake up people.....wake up.

    lmao. Biggest exaggeration.

If people are willing to pay for them (which they will) Who cares? The article even says there are 17,000 seats available under $50.00. And let's pretend like adding "luxury living room suites" is the only thing being done to the stadium... please. As someone who goes to games fairly often and pays anywhere from 30-300$ per ticket, the changes coming to sunlife sound awesome and some were needed pretty badly. I'm excited about em. Not sure why anyone would get on a soapbox and make this big of a deal over it when it doesn't even affect them in the slightest.

Also, you know Ross opted to pay for these himself right? or nah

How could you have been an old time football fan if you'd been forced to sit on a hardwood or aluminum bleacher seat? :shifty: Back in those days if you wanted a padded seat, you had to bring a thin square foam pad from home with you. For cold Friday night games, you could bring some coffee royal disguised in a thermos as plain coffee to help you tolerate the hard seat.

You don't have to be an old timer for that. As recent as the 90's Bills had purely aluminum benches for seating. Did a late 90's December game there in that.....never the hell again.

And think of it this way....those rich jagoffs are keeping them from raising prices on other seats. Let them milk cash from those that can easily afford it. Better then applying it to the rest of the seats.

    Proposal:
Actual shark teeth planted on the sidelines.
Once every game, a lucky fan will receive a single javelin that he/she can hurl only once at any visiting player, but only during regulation. No retries.
The visiting locker room blasts the unwitting coaches and players with small amounts of short wave radiation.

why would anyone get upset over this? If there are people willing to pay for this stuff, then more power to them and to Ross. and in many stadiums, these luxury suites are purchased by companies, not individuals.

A lot of those suites are "bought" by businesses, state officials, etc. At FedEx field, they are owned by a Whos Who of Defense Contractors. I look at it as super inflated price to keep standard seats normalized.

Unless you have hard numbers for specific enhancements, then I'm not sure how you can say that. For all you know, the cost creating these suites, wouldn't put a dent in what you want done.

Cool idea for those who can afford them. Not sure why anyone here is complaining. Maybe because, they can't afford them?

This kind of stuff is all over the place in stadiums and arena's. Heck.. the company I work for has a suite at the local arena for junior hockey (which is a pretty big deal round here) and it's awesome. I get that only a small percentage of people will get to experience a game this way, but it really shouldn't matter.

I think some people just want to ***** for the sake of *****ing about something Ross is doing. Really, the stadium needs upgrades, from general seating to luxury seating/suites. So... who really cares? Just be happy its actually getting done.

They don't care about intimidating. They want luxury and comfort. If you want really intimidating, get a set of the original blueprints for the old Orange Bowl and build an exact replica with all new materials. Just bulldoze this monstrosity that Joe Robbie built.

Don't be stupid, if they're unwitting then they're not intemidated. They have to know about the radiation. The shark tooth/javelin things are gold though. They're pretty much equal to deflated balls, or fake crowd noise. Fair is fair.

Hell with that. What they really should do is to put a couple extra inches between the rows of seats to accommodate us long legged folks better.
it's prett rough sitting there the entire game with your knees jammed right into the seat in front of you. just a suggestion..............

because you have a limited amount of space, and there are better ways to create revenue. if you do everything possible to make the stands closer to the field, but its all good, I understand its a business, and their not gonna get what I'm talking about.

It would appear these lounges aren't "suites" in that they aren't closed off areas... but you can get a 32 inch tv for an additional $15k... or four 24 inch tv's for the value price of $30k. Wouldn't the TV get in the way of the game? :shifty: And if you recline too far back you can't see the field... hell I'm not paying that much if I have to share the air with the common folk sitting around me... oh it's all hilarious. they shouldn't put the price (it just makes it funnier). I mean, the local fancy country club here... you don't ask how much it is. If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

This doesn't bother me though. Unlike the price of beer or food at these games.

Why should a business not accommodate these people?

Beyond that, the majority of the high-end seating arrangements go to corporate sponsors. If you're spending $5M on advertising during the Super Bowl, you probably are getting a free suite.

You can almost always get suites or boxes for less than the advertised price.

The reality is that most of these type of things go to corporate sponsors. Very few people are paying retail price for them.

I actually like the idea of TVs, because I love watching all the games. One of the reasons I don't go to live games is because you basically end up spending your Sunday watching two football games. I need my action. I want to follow 8-10 games at once.

    Personally,

If I was wining and dining a Client...those would be perfect. Plenty of room to take in the game, as well the privacy to talk bidnass at the same time.

I hear ya Deej...but what's more intimidating than a defense that beats the ever-loving snot out of an offense? Or an RB that pounds the hell out of 3 or 4 players every run?

That's what I want to see...don't have much hope for intimidating stadium features from this organization/braintrust.

Doing the math... these seats would generate roughly $2.5 million in revenue per game. That's a **** ton of revenue generated. That's $20 million per season...

I'm dubbing these the "Robin Hood Seats". This is the Fins way of taking from the rich and giving to the poor, lol. By getting the revenue from the people willing to pay for these... they can afford to keep the "cheap seats" inexpensive and affordable to the average fan.

Thanks rich people for paying for a portion of my ticket! lol

They definitely won't be generating that type of revenue. I can't see all of these selling for full price. Hell, I'd be shocked if they generate $5M of revenue over the course of a season.

These mainly are being built for the SB IMO.
