Chandler Parsons just choked with 9 secs left and down 3...lmao. $15 mil/year well spent, Dallas. You're welcome. On another note, Dwight has missed his 3rd straight game. Rockets are 3-0. Think about that, McHale. Time to seriously re-evaluate minutes.
Cleveland's focus needs to be getting Love 110% for the playoff run, Chris Bosh wasn't kidding when he said Love would have an adjustment period....needs to contribute more in other ways than scoring. Stop camping out in 3 point land and get a damn rebound.
LMAO...he reminds me of Stanley from 'The Office' trying to play offense Biggest guy on the team playing like a toddler. It's hard to watch.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by the present is the future. If the future is fighting it out for a bottom seed in the East, we're in trouble. I'm not suggesting tanking for the sake of tanking, but I think if Wade is out for an extended period of time you need to try and maximize what you can get for the assets you have now that won't be playing for you when this team is relevant again. You see what you can get for guys like Deng, and you focus on getting the young guys more minutes to see if they are going to help you in the long run, or if you need to find better options. In the process, yes, you will probably end up as a lottery team which isn't the worst thing in the world. The alternative is not taking advantage of that opportunity to fight it out for a 7 or 8 seed and an early exit in the playoffs. If Wade looks like he'll be back sooner rather than later and you feel good about him making it through the season and into the playoffs. That's a different story. A healthy Heat team with Whiteside could steal a series in the playoffs. Yes, but there's a big difference between the kind of pick you can buy at the bottom of the 1st round and a top 10 pick. Being in the lottery also gives you a shot to win and get a crack at a guy like Emmanuel Midiay or D'Angelo Russell. This draft is also loaded with bigs and could give the Heat a frightening frontcourt with Whiteside, Bosh, and Okafor/Towns/Cauley-Stein/Turner. And then of course there's always the option of trading that pick for a player. If the Spurs don't want to give Leonard a max deal (as Section reported a while back), would they do a sign and trade for a top 10 pick? There are plenty of good things you can do with a top 10 pick.
Raise your hand if you saw this one coming: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/b...-kevin-durant-eye-big-apple-article-1.2095855 And before anyone says anything stupid....Asshola, as many Knicks fans refer to him, hates the team he covers. Hes a Philly guy. But he does have some connections and he does get some scoops. Now back to at the thought of KD and Melo with Okafor in the middle...
Pretty sure I could get a source close to Durant to say the same thing about the Heat. The most hard to believe thing in that entire article is Duran't supposed frustration with Westbrook. Aren't they like best friends? And why the hell would he leave a top 10 player to go to the Knicks, or anywhere quite frankly? And FWIW, I think the Heat is an extreme longshot here to, so this isn't me Knick bashing. Washington is the only place that makes any kind of sense. But if OKC is considering trading Westbrook, count me as insanely interested
Kings are 5-15 since Malone got fired... come on... you know you want to trade us Darren Collison... Don't be stubborn Kings, give Pat a call! We'll trade you Granger, Cole and 2016 first round pick..
Wade and Deng out tomorrow. Bird is back Wade is day to day, no MRI taken, so maybe we dodged a bullet.
Ethan Skolnick is on 790 now and they were talking about potentially bringing Beasley back and he said there is no way, not solely because of Beasley himself, who had issues last year that weren't public, but also because they are keeping Whiteside in a "cocoon" and do not want any bad influences around him. I would assume that feeling would rule out a guy like Lance Stephensen as well. I agree with the approach as we've heard about some of the problems Whiteside has had with attitude in the past (though he certainly doesn't come off that way when you hear him talk now) We have something special here. Let's not do anything to mess it up.
You literally have to go full ****** not to give Tyler minutes with Wade out. With Deng out, Granger and Ennis will be at the 3. Chalmers will likely be the starting 2. Napier and Cole likely split minutes at the 1 but you have to get Tyler in the mix..
there's a couple of reasons I could see KD leaving not just for NY but for the East in general. For one, 50 wins in the west barely gets you a playoff spot...in the east that's a 3/4 seed. Secondly, he convinced Melo to stay in Ny. Melo being there means he doesn't have to take every big shot. He's also a top ten player like Westbrook. Third, OKC doesn't spend. They improve through the draft but they don't retain good players. Could you imagine how good they'd be if they kept Harden? They simply are restricted by their market size. Four, the Knicks have oodles of FA space in 15, a high pick, and oodles in 16. And Phil MF'ing Jackson. If he ever wants to win anything that may be his best chance. You need an architect and while Sam Presti is extremely good at his job, his budget restrictions and the new CBA looking are things that will help, not hurt, the Knicks. Five, Legacy. What? Yeah it's a longshot but this matters. It's been four decades plus since the Knicks have seen a championship. Melo said he wants to see this through when he stayed. I'm sure the money helped but I truly believe that. NBA players have monumental egos. I'm not saying it will happen. I'm just saying, there's a chance. And I can see why he would leave OKC whether it's for NY Miami the Wizards or any other team.
Reports that Minnesota is making Mo Williams available. We've been interested in the past and he would certainly help fill in the scoring absence left by Wade. Cole and Hamilton work. You'd have to give them a 2nd rounder or two, but I'd be interested.
Nationally televised game against a strong Western opponent...and Wade is out. Good grief. This could be a real slog to the All-Star break. But on the bright side we should have a really good idea of who the hell is worth minutes in the backcourt now with more opportunities. Let's figure out who's legit in this rotation, see who has it.
He spurned Riley once....Riley would as soon have him murdered than trade for him. and I wouldn't want him either.
I'm rooting heavily for "Run-the-Point Night". Refuse to believe that there isn't a fan in the crowd on any given night that could defend better than Chalmers, shoot the ball better than Cole, and protect the ball better than Napier. We may have a slightly better shot at making the playoffs by allowing one lucky fan to play point guard for us, as opposed to continuing to give Chalmers/Cole/Napier playing time.
Beasley still can't get sober damn smh that's too bad Anyways, id like to thank the coaches for not voting in Lillard. He's gonna beast this second half
Some dudes just don't get it in the NBA. No one really cares that he's a weedhead, its just that he's irresponsible and immature about it. And coming to practice and in games high is not a smart thing to do. I know whenever I tried to toke and play bball I was way worse than I usually am sober.
This team looks so much better with Terrence Jones back and Dwight out. Doesn't even look like he's been out 3 months. It's only halfway through the 2nd quarter and this game is a blowout. I want another shot at Golden State now that we have our big man rotation settled.
Can someone please tell me what the hell Spo is doing? Seriously. 22-0 without Whiteside and now it's too late. Moron
Left our best player on the bench for 8 minutes while a game completely slipped away. And yeah, I said best player
I gotta stop watching the Heat because I'm going to kill someone in rage after watching these games. Spoelstra is frustrating as **** with his rotations. Whiteside benched, with no foul trouble, all the while the Mavs where turning a 16 points deficit completely around. **** off! Cole, Granger and Williams are awful. Cole specially I'm not watching another game until he is gone from this team. Tyler Johnson looked more competent in his reduced minutes and he came from the D-League yesterday. Bosh and Chalmers with their stinkers. I can't keep getting this upset.
Spoelstra is getting exposed. The thing that really pisses me off is the play of Bosh, he looks tired and washed up.
