We certainly can't lose Tannehill. Why, that would be like losing Joe Montana!

I don't know who "everyone" is but this offense utilizes a lot less of the outside comeback routes that Hartline made his living on under Sherman. Hartline is a pitiful RAC player and this is an offense that thrives on RAC.

Oh and this offense also depends on receivers to block really well and Hartline is allergic to blocking.

If you would leave the team if Tannehill left, you really aren't a true fan to begin with.

I can't stand that Ross is the owner of this team. I think Philbin is nothing but a mediocre head coach and the signing of Tannebaum to run football operations makes my head ache.

With all that, I still am and always will be a fan of the Dolphins.

I expect Tannehill to be the QB of this team in the future, but if a new head coach took over in 2016 and he wanted to bring in his own QB to replace Tannehill, I certainly wouldn't just stop being a fan of the team because Tannehill was no longer the QB.

If Tannehill doesn't play well and they make a reasonable football decision to move on I would have no qualms. But if they cut, trade or somehow lose him for unexplainable reasons, I would leave this team for good reason. Just like if another owner came in here and turned the Dolphins into a joke of an organization, I'm not gonna root for this team just because of their name. It's a business, and in a theoretical world if they resurrected Hitler from the dead to own this team I would leave until that cancer was purged, you wouldn't.

Just more confirmation of who the real problem child is in the locker room. He's been a media leak for drama, his body language all season has been telling, he's all but gone and I sure as hell won't miss him.

His comments may not be untrue, but the problem is you were given a public platform and you gave a very uninspirational opinion of the best QB you have ever played with....meanwhile?? Mike Wallace publicly compared Ryan to Big Ben....the irony.

What Hartline said is just as acceptable from a rookie earning his stripes as it would be a veteran heading out the door under dubious circumstances. It's not casting aspersions. It's not underselling Tannehill. It's not putting a cap on his upside. It doesn't in any way explain, or make excuses for Hartline's performance.

There's a lot of dumb barking going on in here.

I wonder if any Jay Cutler fans quit the Broncos and became Bears fans, and if they did did they go crawling back to the Broncos or are they now stuck rooting for a putrid Bears team?

It's amazing to me someone who actually listened to the story can explain the full context, and we've still got people who can't read excited about how much this matches up with the conspiracy theory they cooked up based on whoever the **** knows what.

Personally I can't believe this team could have a worse owner than Ross. In fact he is probably the worst owner in the entire league and I can't wait for him to sell the team.

Bringing up the Hilter analogy really makes no sense. We are commenting on NFL owners and not on individuals who have been responsible for killing millions of innocent people. I believe Ross is clueless as an NFL owner, but he is certainly not one of the worst individuals in the history of mankind.

I have been a fan of the Dolphins since 1966. I attended the very first game ever played by the Dolphins in the old Orange Bowl and I attended well over 300 Dolphin games before my wife and I moved from South Florida to Hawaii in January 2014.

So as much as I can't stand this owner, the head coach, or the recent hiring of Tannebaum as head of football operations. I just hope things will change for the better in the future because after being a fan and supporter for nearly half a decade, I have no desire to start rooting for another team.

I was there for the good times and I have remained a fan through the bad times. I will remain a fan until my ashes are scattered over the mountains here in Maui, no matter if Tannehill is the teams QB or not.

The one I did was last year and it was Luck, so its plenty relevant.

It VERY clearly shows that there's some bull**** anti-Tannehill agenda to still be questioning him at this point.

    Nope.

The narrative has been built to the point that he literally outperformed Luck of last year (which Tanne this year vs. Luck last year is similar amount of starts overall), but he's still being questioned. Its absurd.

No QB is perfect, they all have weaknesses, but this fanbase needs an enema, because unless he's perfect he's a question mark as far as we're concerned.

This team has 99 problems, but a QB ain't one.

Can you please post Luck vs Tannehill fourth quarter stats to compare, include touchdowns, completion percentage, first downs, third down conversions, 4th down conversions, and winning percentage.

Also please post Lucks playoff stats vs Tannehills.

even Kyle Orton was on his way to a 4k yard season this year based on averages, is he a franchise quarterback too now?

Did the NFL change the rules so that the 4th quarter is only QBs playing and no one else? You do realize comebacks involve a myriad of factors AND players that aren't only the QB, right? Lmao. Winning percentage? The QB is the only factor on 4th qtr winning percentage? If we had a defense our 4th qtr winning percentage would be through the roof this year.

and ah yes. The "please compare playoff stats" BS. QBS like Dalton made it to the playoffs 4 years in a row. Including this year and Tannehill played leaps and bounds better than him. In near every category. But neither of them have teams right?

    Playoff wins?

    That's just a stupid benchmark.

Dilfer is a better QB than Marino because he has more SB wins (following your ignorant logic) and don't you freaking dare ignore that either. You deal with that, in your reply or admit you've become a troll.

So if an owner came in, and decided to put $$ over wins, you would still root for the team? If Steven Ross, trades/cuts all the good players on this team after the year and decides to extend Philbin, and then this team turns into complete s***, you would support that? I'm sorry, my point is this game is a business. And I for one am not going to be enslaved to some dictator of an owner if he isn't doing things the right way. Ross hasn't been that bad yet, what Snider has done in Washington has been a lot worse, but in a theoretical world if our owner is that bad, he doesn't deserve my fandom. You don't think the Marlins owner lost fans when he pulled the s*** he did on that team, he did. I'm as loyal a Dolphins fan as they come, I watched every single game live from the Sparano era and that isn't easy in my area. I've been a fan my whole life, Chris Chambers is my all time favorite receiver, but if this owner or some other evil entity takes over my team and ruins it, I won't support that s***, you can. like Pac said ninja I'm loyal to the game, and people, not businesses. I would have rooted for Sparano till the cows came home, a good man. I like Philbin too personally, but we musn't lose the franchise QB we've been seeking since Marino, that wouldn't be right, regardless of who drafted him. I need that leverage on this business because until Tannehill proves he isn't the guy, you simply don't move on from him, that is all. Releasing him early from this team would be a mortal sin, that would cause me to leave, like if they traded Marino in his prime. If we ruin this team I'm glad there's people as loyal as you who will support them no matter what, I personally care too much about this sport to root for wretched owners, which Ross isn't, YET. Most people like my brother root for the local team, regardless of the their hatred for the owner, and stay loyal their whole life. That can become a problem if you ever move but hey, that's what most people do. Some people like myself however, need competitive football. 07 ripped my heart out, I stayed loyal, but damn it was difficult. The losing and ineptitude hurt that much, but at least our owner quickly fixed the mistake. That W against Baltimore was the greatest W of my life.

Ryan is looking more and more like the answer to our prayers since 1999.

But he is far from perfect, and still needs to fine tune a few things before someone like myself can be totally at ease with the Qb of the Dolphins.

I guess it's how we interpet what we we are questioning, is it if Ryan is elite or if he ever will be.

Oh I was sure that you posted up something like that, just like I was sure that the first one was comparing Tannehill to some bust like Pat White, or something. I just love it when someone who can't stand a player does one of those mystery comparisons. Like, take David Carr's best season, and compare it to Brady's worst, without telling anyone who you're comparing, ask which player they would take, then bust out the "Based on your responses you'd want DAVID CARR over TOM FREAKING BRADY!!!111 Derp derp derp." LOL

The issue is the concept of what constitutes elite.

Not one single QB, ever, would live up to our fanbase's concept of elite if they actually applied the same rules to them that they do to Tannehill.

Yes, he's not perfect but no QB is. Everyone is applying these false benchmarks to what it means to be elite....he's not as deep accurate as Rapeburger, he's not as mobile as Wilson, he doesn't shake off defenders like Luck, he doesn't read the field like Manning......well who the **** does all those things? No one.

    Its goddamned ridiculous.
