BTW, at far as the power run switch goes: Romo and Big Ben both had their best seasons yet under the power run, switching to power run does not cap RT17 statistically. I think he would be way better in power run. He would be less predictable. They are talking MVP for Romo and I think Ben does get tossed into the conversation this year.

Didn't Megatron have like 100+ yards and a td? Tate went over 100 also? Wouldn't be crowing about the defense too much in that game. Plus, the defense gave up 10 in the fourth, including the game winning td with seconds left, where they drove the field on them.

You like stats a little too much, our D was bending but didn't beak against a good Lions offense/team(20 points supports my argument), our O didnt do the D no favors scoring 16 points.

I like stats too much? Megatron and Tate had their way with us. I remember people going cuckoo during the game about Grimes shutting Megatron down...

Doesnt hurt that Romo has the best OL in football and Ben...well Ben Roethlisberger is one of the elite and underrated QBs of our era. Hes one of the top 5 along with Peyton, Brady Brees Rodgers. And hes better then 2 of them at this point imo (Peyton and Brees). It helps that Pitt finally has a healthy ol and hit home runs with guys like Decastro and Kelvin Beachum. Then they realized Marcus Gilbert is a RT not a LT.

That and the fact that OL love to play in power run scheme where they get to push DL back, setting a tone in the game that sets up passing the ball much easier.

The OL we have now, I guarantee are better in a power run and would be successful.

well we can start by getting guards that dont suck and a reliable swing tackle. And a power back like a Marshawn Lynch or a Demarco Murray or even a frank Gore (who even though hes a 100 still went over 1K) to compliment Miller :)

You don't watch the seattle games do you? Wilson runs as the last resort, he is constantly looking down the field even when he escapes the pocket.

Difference being, I never disregarded Ryan Tannehill's down points. I have even said, on multiple occasions, that Ryan has quite a bit to work on. However, you, on multiple occasions, tried to pin way more on Tannehill than he deserves.

I thought I was gonna get something close to one of the best coaches in football, a strong version of a chip kelly offense combined with max utilization of a dual threat qb, I don't believe that happened..Id like it to happen though.

Not really, I said I think would he would be better suited for power run offense on multiple occasions, and you and a few others somehow read that as me putting losses on him...

I don't know why people thought this. Lazor only coached on year under Chip Kelly. He had way more years in the West Coast offense. Which is what we got. A west coast offense with a little "Chip Kelly" sprinkled in.

Here are my issues with Tannehill:

Lacks pocket awareness and takes too many sacks

Doesn't make plays in critical situations

    Lacks accuracy throwing deep

    Too much dink and dunk

Can you post anything without trolling? Seriously.

Let me guess, you LOVED all the offense, except for Tannehill.

To answer your question, yes I had issues with the oline and the receivers, and some issues with Tannehill.

:thanx: We need better OG's, a true #1 WR, a power RB, I agree with that but these are problems that RT17 needs to work on as well. He might be a 'franchise' QB (Dalton, Cutler are considered franchise QBs too), but RT17 still has a long way to go until he is considered 'elite' (if he ever takes that next step, a lot of QBs never do, I.e., Dalton, Cutler)

Other than the fact that Lazor came out and said he had to scale back the offense and remove things Tannehill doesn't do well, which is anything past dink and dunk?

I'm 100% behind Tannehill, and saw a huge improvement. Enough to grab him in two of my dynasty leagues that's how optimistic I am. I'm actually putting my money where my mouth is. But I'm not naive either. In order to take the next step, they have to actually, you know, take that next step. Until he does so he's no sure thing. I'd be churning high ceiling low risk prospects underneath him.

Drew Bledsoe was a pretty damn good QB that got to the Super Bowl, and yet they took a 6th rounder underneath him you know. Tanny hasn't even reached that far yet.

Thats an essential part of his game and he's the best Ive ever seen at it. RT isn't that type of player, he's better off in the pocket at this point.

Agreed, so then we should be able to see the work that has to be done to protect that pocket and where Ryan really has to get better...and let's not just blow off how important it is to his ceiling and the success of the team for him to get better at it...The pocket is a chaotic place in the playoffs, and I think it's gonna make a break his career..

I forgot that Tannehill was terrible at anything in the 11-20 yard range, for starters.

And you cannot definitively say that the "dink and dunk" was because of Tannehill, and not due more to the oline inability to block. The last couple games Tannehill sure was chucking some nice balls deep.

Let's see. Just in this thread I have been called a troll, and told I am slow. That's 2 TOS violations. Personal attacks.

All I said was the thread is terrible. Not a TOS violation. Attacking the post or thread.

Explain to me why he is not banned for flagrant TOS violations???

Oh. Because he has 63k posts.

    Got it.

Technically, I don't think calling someone a troll is a personal attack...there are plenty of people who have been called trolls, because they were. Not saying you are or aren't, though, speed. Also, when a poster has been around for seven years, and is known to be a good poster, he's probably not going to get the ban hammer for calling someone slow...
