    MLB Brandon Spikes?

DT Maybe Suh or Fairley? Not sure if Detroit can break the bank and keep both of them. Not sure if they let Suh go so what about Fairley?

    CB how about Kareem Jackson?

some pretty good guards in free agency as well.

I'd like Suh as a top priority. If that happens, I don't see us keeping Odrick though. Isn't he a FA after the season?
Stopping the run should be #1 in the minds of Dolphins' brass right now. LB's, Secondary then Offense in my order...

A DeVante Parker could be around in our slot, or maybe actually take a chance on character (doubtful) for a Green-Beckham. I fear all the negative press stemming from Jon Martin has minimized the chances we will take on extreme talent/troubled players.....sad because we need to hit that kind of home run at some point.

I'm thinking they're gonna have to. The only ones I see in free agency are Demaryius Thomas, Dez Bryant and Randall Cobb. I don't see any of them leaving their respective teams with the success they're having. So hopefully they can get a guard and DT in free agency. There are some good receivers like Parker in the 1st round of the draft and some good MLBs in the 2nd round.

    We should try get Lupati

    Lt:Albert,Lg:Lupati,C:Pouncey,Rg:Draftpick,Rt:James ...

Try get Crabtree, oder an other tall Wr....

Ilb:Rolando Mclain so our Lb core could be Jordan,Mclain,Jenkins

    maybe some Cb...

To think that we could get murray is a Pipe dream...Dallas and Detroit will have tough Decision...

Detroit has Fairley And Suh as Free Agent don´t think they can´t afford both even i they tag one
Dallas will likely tag Dez but will want to resign Murray but he will be expensive think he wants 5years 50 Million...

Mark Ingram as backup Rb would be cool he is a dolphins fan

Fairley might be doable. Kenny Britt is sketchy. Moreno injures himself and his own teammates with his running style.

Mike Iupati from San Francisco might have the greatest overall impact. Otherwise, it might not matter who you get for the defense.

Yeah, we could enhance the team the best with offensive line help. And pick up an old declining beast of an OT at the beginning of the season. McKinnie should've been retained and prepared this year.

Too early to even look. Half these guys will get signed before free agency. People get wound up at this time every year and most of the guys they get wound up about never make it to the market.

This is true. Which is why I said if the Dolphins want a big time receiver to go with Landry and Wallace it will most likely be in the draft. The best receivers will probably stay with their teams since they're having success there and are on a good team. But I can see a lot of players moving. Demarco Murray I think stays with Dallas. Not that we need a running back any way. Dolphins got greater needs than a RB. But there are still plenty of good free agents that will be available.

I can see crabtree wanting out of SF...

I'd say restructure Wallace contract, sign crabtree some OL and Ingram some DB's and LB's... However, wallace has had his highest TD season in his career so it'll be hard to get him to restructure.

I really hope Miami stays away from big-name signings. To me, it's a bad omen--a sign that you're reaching on a player because you're panicked about a need and have convinced yourself that in order to stay competitive you have to invest ridiculous money.

I like Mike Wallace, but I really hope he's the last big time signing Miami makes for a little while. While we need to invest in the DT position, we would be remiss if we become part of a bidding war for Suh or Fairley. It looks like Detroit has 4 different DTs on that list of free agents (Suh, Fairley, Mosley & Fluellen). There will be plenty of teams making a push for Suh and Fairley. It's probably not a smart play for us to get into that.

I think we need to try and get Odrick back at a fair price. I really don't like the thought of over-paying for Odrick but with so many other DTs on the market, it might be a nice time to quietly use that against him at the bargaining table. If we bring Odrick back, it takes a lot of pressure off of us. We can add talent without drafting a 1st rounder or making a splash if FA. If we lose Odrick, we may very well need to do one of those two things.

I think it's also safe to say that we should bring back Colledge on the cheap. He's a capable body that we may very well want to have in our corner next year. When he was healthy, he was a competent player--not great, but not bad. When healthy, he's an asset and a bit of insurance.

    Let's look at Safety...

Reshad Jones is our only Safety going into 2015. Delmas (a FA) probably won't be ready for the start of next season and Jimmy Wilson (also a FA) is hot garbage. It might be nice to find a serviceable Safety. Perhaps we go after one of NE's guys (Chung or McCourty) or possibly Taylor Mays out of Cincinnati?

    Let's look at CB...

Finnegan is not great and he's thinking about retirement. We have two young up-and-comers in Davis and Taylor so it's not necessarily urgent that we get someone. I'm comfortable starting the better of those two but we might need to add some depth with experience. I really don't know who to look at. Perhaps there's a chance we look at 34-year old Charles Tillman who's coming off an arm/chest injury. He might be cheap enough to take a look at.

    Offense Needs:

Backup QB: Matt Moore is a FA after the year and his cap number is too high for a backup. RT17 has proved he is our QB, what we need is a comparable backup to his skill set, solid athlete, comfortable running the read option, and quick decision.

Best Choice: Jake Locker - big bust in TEN, and think a few people saw that coming. Either way he isn't anything besides a bottom tier starter but could be a quality backup. Change of scenery might do him some good, and he is a very good athlete. Within him in saddle if something were to happen to Tannehill, I feel Locker could hold the fort in worst case.

RB: Miller is close to 1,000 yards, but he could benefit from a complement in the backfield. A power back has been needed for some time in Miami way back to Ricky in his prime. Watching the Lynch's, Lacy's and now Hill's run wild in the NFL makes me long for a bruiser back there.

Best Choice: Frank Gore - some may laugh at this choice as he is a 31 year old who some may be on his last legs. Well, for a few reasons I think it would work. Gore is a classy veteran who is a Miami guy, and I am sure would love to return home. The 49ers are going through some serious change and they just drafted a RB in round 2 last year so I don't anticipate him being a priority. Gore may have the best vision in the NFL and he trains in off-season with Miller. With RB IMO not a major Top 3 need for the team I think Gore on a 2 year deal could be the best option.

WR: Hartline needs to go to save money, Gibson is a carbon copy and we can do the same. Matthews disappointed me man, as even in his limited opportunity he looks disinterested. Wallace isn't a true #1 but he is very useful as he has 10 TD's this year, would love for him to restructure but don't see him budging. Either way with him and up and coming Landry we have two very good WR's but we need a big body to complete the unit.

Best Choice: My personal opinion would be to address this need in Round 1 or 2 of the draft (Parker, White, Williams, Strong, Funchess, Green-Beckham). But, if I did have to choose a FA based on who will be available...Michael Crabtree. Two years ago he was next in line to be a dominant WR but something didn't click. Still, think in a loaded core he never really got his due. His size, hands, and red zone ability would be a good compliment to this core. I do NOT believe Demaryius or Dez will hit the open market but I'd break the bank for them.

Swing Tackle: Albert may not be ready by Week 1 in 2015 and his injury history is concerning. Having someone on deck to fill in and be ready in a moments notice who won't stiffle our offense will be key. This guy may already be on the roster and his name ain't Dallas.

Best Choice: Jason Fox. Resign him, as all he has done is fill in at LT against Detroit and do well and fill in last week against Minnesota and allow no sacks. This guy should've been starting for weeks now and allow Thomas to see if he can figure out the guard thing or not. His familiarity, age, and ability all make sense. Hopefully, he starts this week to get more of a sample size.

Guard(s): Guard is the biggest need on offense, although I think adding a WR could take it over the top. What you've seen in Dallas is apparent, they invested in OLine in 3 of the past 4 1st rounds in the draft and they are heading to the playoffs for the first time in a few years, see the correlation. For years it seems like are OLine is a "Work in Progress" with limited progress. Well, we drafted a solid tackle in James who has a bright future, Pouncey will shift back to guard, Albert when healthy is elite, but our guard play is atrocious. Shelley Smith couldn't even win a starting spot. Pouncey had to swing to guard cause its that dire. Hopefully, Billy Turner's red shirt year will prove dividends as he could be real mauler at guard. Regardless, we will need one if not two capable of competing for starting time. I'd look to sign a younger veteran with proven experience and draft a mid rounder.

Best Option: Clint Boling, I saw his screen block on Monday against the Broncos and fell in love with his aggression. The Bengals are known for letting OL walk, see Anthony Collins. For our sake I hope Boling doesn't end up like that. Either way he is a young guard approaching his prime. He is an instant plug-in LG who teamed with Albert will keep our QB's blindsides safe. IF we can't land him my next choice would be Orlando Franklin, not Mike Iupati (he can't pass block worth a lick and he is injury prone and approaching 30...pass). Franklin has played multiple position on the OL which makes his versatility appealing. Again a local product who is big LG.

    Defensive Needs:

DT: IMO one of deepest position units to begin season. May be our worst unit as of today. Run defense is terrible and no penetration. Again, I think we miss a NT type who can eat up run blockers. Odrick being a FA is a worry, and hope we can resign him. Starks regression could make him cap casualty. Looking at that it'd be Mitchell and....? Well, first I think we need to sign a NT for the rn defense and if we can't resign JO look at draft.

Best Option: Dan Williams. A familiar name from a few draft backs as he was mocked to us quite frequently. His a big bodied DT who excels in run defense, just what the doctor ordered. Resign, JO as well so we don't have to look at the draft.

LB: Jelani Jenkins emergence is a sigh of relief as he is WLB of future. Koa Misi can NOT be counted on weekly at ILB as he is always injured and even on the field whiffs on too many assignments. Wheeler/Ellerbe can be cut at whatever moment makes the most financial sense. We NEED to move Jordan to SLB. If we do that finding a replacement to Misi isn't as huge a deal. But, if we leave Jordan at DE I'd look to find a LB to compete with Misi/Tripp for SLB/ILB duties.

Best Option: The burn from the Misi/Wheeler/Ellerbe signings from Ireland's tenure still stings. LB and RB are two positions I struggle to dish out big $$$ contracts too as I think the draft is the way to go. Love the potential LB's in draft rounds 1-3 for our team but if I had to do a FA option my choice would be....Brandon Marshall. No, not that one the LB from Denver. Name may not click with many people but this kid has been a stud for Denver with all the injuries to their LB core. He is also 25 and wouldn't be big money.

CB: Grimes isn't getting younger. Taylor needs to get healthy but proved at least he can play a bit. Finnegan needs to retire or just go. Wilson just go. Aikens needs to focus on safety. Michael Thomas I'd look to resign on 1 year deal if healthy as he has ability as nickel CB. Will Davis is a guy I'd look to be challenged the most and most likely to be cut. looking at 2 CB's one way or another. Looking at aforementioned comments we have WR, LB as positions I'd want to address in rounds 1-2 of draft so CB may have to be a FA.

Best Option: Either Perrish Cox or Chris Culliver whoever SF can't resign. Both are young 27/26 and won't command top dollar. But, they have serious ability and have played in aggressive defense with Fangio in SF. By signing one of them CB wouldn't have to be anything more than mid to late round pick.

S: Truthfully, I don't know if Jones is FS or SS as they talk about interchangeable. But, Delmas got injured which could've been guessed and we need to move forward without him as he was one year deal. I wish we had given Aikens a chance the past few weeks instead of Wilson, but word is Wilson hand is in cast and Aikens could be starting this week. Good, if anything see what you have in him. More than likely enough won't be seen to prove a point but Safety will be addressed. I want Jones close to line as possible with a center fielder in the back end.

Best Choice: Rahim Moore. Familiar with being the center field type FS as TJ Ward plays in the box more often than not. He's 25 and comes with a bit of a swagger which is nice. The draft also has some good options not elite but rounds 2-4 which could end up being starters.

Like another poster said Gibson would create 3m more. Others players can be cut as well. If Hickey plays it right the Dolphins will have loads of cap room available for some nice signings.

Big name signings can make a contender. I don't think the Broncos are regretting breaking bank for Peyton Manning and the other guys they've signed the last couple years. Patriots signed Revis. I'm hoping the Dolphins can get a high impact player. Suh is a beast. That Lions defense used to be horrific. Suh and Fairley stuff the run. Dolphins could use one of the big guys. I wouldn't look at Wallace as a big name signing but an overpaid signing. He is a solid player and I'm glad the Dolphins got him but he is overpaid. He is being paid top 5 wide receiver money and shouldn't be. Now if we gave that money to Dez Bryant or Demaryius Thomas. Um huh huh we be talking different story.

I dont want Odrick back. That guy isn't stuffing anyone in the backfield and will want more money than he worth. The Dolphins need to get rid of Starks and Odrick. Keep Mitchell and find a big DT to stuff the run. Our DTs now including Odrick are not getting it done.

In an ideal world I would love for Jamar Taylor to be the other starting corner opposite of Grimes. It's too bad he got injured so we can't see more of what he can do. That would be one less need for the Dolphins. Wouldn't have to spend another draft pick or more money on a corner. The team does have so many other needs so Taylor being the starting corner could actually happen. I agree Finnegan needs to go. Cutting him would create significant cap space.

Colledge is awful. That guy almost sent Tannehill to the hospital with his poor play.

Honestly if he makes it to FA Dan Williams might be the cheapest way to fix our interior run defense. You subtract Starks. Pay Williams what you were for Starks (About $5 million a year). Move Earl Mitchell to Starks side with a hopefully re-signed on the cheap Odrick (since he had a down year one can hope).

Then it's just a matter of drafting a mid to high MLB to groom to replace Misi.

Say NO to Demarco people. Dallas is running him into the ground. He will not replicate anything like this season. You don't carry the rock 400 times and stay an all pro. No No No.

Crabtree is not the same player he was. Lost a lot from injury.

Suh would fit well, but man he will annihilate the cap. Can see him being a salary albatross.

If my math and research are right, after all the appropriate June cuts [Hartline, Wheeler, Ellerbe, Moore, Fields, Finnegan, Starks, Gibson, Shelley Smith, Garner] and if we extend Pouncey to reduce his $7 million hit, we'd be at roughly $99 million during an estimated $140-142 million cap year, rollover included.

    Re-sign Clay & Odrick.
Fix the D-line with Terrance Knighton and JPP.... or maybe see how much a 1 year "prove it" deal would cost for Adrian Clayborn.
Finish O-line with Rodney Hudson. Albert transitioned quite well and quickly coming from KC's scheme. Perhaps Hudson could duplicate.
Replace Finnegan with Byron Maxwell, or Delmas with Rahim Moore...... or both if it can be afforded.

I'd love Rodney Hudson but I don't see K.C. letting him get away. Plus your pretty much putting Pouncey to guard with that move....and do we really want Pouncey at guard after this disaster?

I'm not sure this team runs the ball enough for it, but I'd like to see Miami considering the rental market for veteran backs.

Frank Gore, Adrian Peterson, and Marshawn Lynch are all likely available. You might be able to get a steal financially given the age/issues, and have a highly effective guy you can split carries with Miller on.
