I would personally go big on Memphis today over BYU. I've been extremely impressed with Memphis lately.
I took the over 55.5 on memphis/byu. Neither team has decided to play defense. By the way I cant believe we didnt donate Sun life to the Marlins and grabbed the Orange Bowl spot. That stadium looks good with a football field..
Taking Over 3.5 Field Goals prop for tonight's game at +145, I think there will be big plays, not a lot of touchdowns. Very important game for both teams that are trying to get control of their own destiny.
After the game was over (christian threw an INT to end the game in overtime), there was a huge brawl which ended up with several players walking to the locker rooms with bloody noses. It was pretty bad.... Lots of cheap shots too, u see a guy kinda wrestling with another guy and suddenly he gets sucker punched in the back... Youre going to see a few players, about ten of them..get a season long suspension or expulsion from their schools. It was very embarrassing.
Im starting to wonder how many years left Manning has... Everyone talks about Brady's decline here, he hasnt displayed any of the glaring signs Manning has shown. That arm is very very weak...

Weather isn't going to be an issue today like it was at the LT/Marshall game... still like the under though... I think the score will be pretty similar.. NIU has a solid defense as well.. They never faced an offense like this though.. still like them to keep it close but Marshall wins. And I just read teams wearing dark color jerseys are 5-1 in bowl games so far.. so I'm going to ride that trend. +10 NIU Navy is wearing white today by the way. Half kidding by the way, though the stat is real.. and I was leaning +10 NIU
Well I've become a little homer-ish on Marshall as of late. I rode them hard for most of the year as they covered most weeks but I've been wrong about them the last couple of games. Intellectually I knew that UAB game was going to be a nightmare trap game for them so at least I was able to spot that one. I didn't really expect the WKU loss though, especially at home. And I only found out too late about the sloppy conditions in the La Tech game. If I'd known that I would've backed off, because one thing I have seen about Cato is when he gets into a game with poor conditions he takes the gloves off his hands and isn't able to squeeze the ball the same way...very similar to Teddy Bridgewater. Intellectually speaking though, trying to separate any bias I have, I like Marshall a lot in this game because: 1. Good history with bowl games, especially recently. They solidly beat Maryland by 11 points last year (line was Marshall -2.5) and that was in Maryland's backyard (Annapolis). They didn't go to a bowl in 2012 but they did go to one in 2011 (somehow). They beat FIU 20-10 in St. Petersburg (FIU was favored -4.0). I was at that game believe it or not. Meanwhile Northern Illinois dropped that bowl game to Utah State last year 14-21, and got trounced by Florida State the year they got into a New Years Day bowl. They did beat Arkansas State 38-20 in 2011. 2. Don't underestimate what these Marshall boys tend to do when they come back to Miami and play in front of their families. Marshall has an unusual foothold in Florida as far as recruiting goes and for some reason when they go down there to play in front of their families they tend to respond. This year they visited down at Florida International and put on one HELL of a show, trouncing them 45-13. That was one of those games where you watch it and you're seeing the players jazzed up as hell, everything clicking on all cylinders. They did the same in 2013 beating FIU 48-10. Then again that year they also traveled to Florida Atlantic and had a bit of a scare, winning 24-23. But I watched FAU travel up to Huntington this year and even though Marshall opened it up at the end of the game, FAU was really dominating them in the first half...so I tend to think they're just built well to play Marshall. 3. There's been enough downtime that guys like Devon Johnson in particular should be healthy and that's a big part of the puzzle. They've performed well without him before but they were certainly a lot less consistent when he was going in and out of the lineup, or hurting with a pulled hammy. This was especially the case against La Tech.
If there was a prop that the Heat would lose to the Sixers this year, I would have betted everything I owned for that bet.

On Western Kentucky as I've already locked that in, and with Thomas Rawls out due to academics, I don't think Central Michigan has the offensive power to keep up with Doughty.. Western Kentucky's defense is very weak though.... but Thomas is their best offensive player. Their next running back has 359 yards for the season, Central Michigan always ran a balanced offense... In a game where WKU will force a shootout, Rush won't be able to keep up with Doughty... I'll take WKU big. Western Kentucky always reminds me of KC Armstrong from Howard Stern (when the show was good)
