Maybe, maybe not. On one hand selling low is really dumb. And it's only like 20 games in to the season. On the other hand, yeah he's looked like poop.
Nick Johnson with the game winner. (That's my guy) Harden fouled out in the 4th, but Jason Terry and Donatas Motiejunas made it happen. 15-4
Realistically, where would you rank the best east team? Top 10, maybe? Last year East was poor, but at least they had Miami. Had they not ran in to San Antonio in the Finals (or you know, if San Antonio just shot okay, or good, or great...but not ****ing all time great) it would of been a series. But now? Who in the East can do ANYTHING? Gotta be Chicago in the Finals, by default, no?
If they stay healthy Chicago should at least make it to the conference finals... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
Surely, the Heat are not just Wade, Bosh and the occasional rookie that steps up? Wade is on fire and it is being wasted...this team couldn't defend a set of trash cans, with a bus stop at PG. Just BRUTAL. New Injury every day and NOBODY besides the Big 2 step up. NOBODY. Anybody feel like playing a little defense..helping out..you know...the two stars that are busting their ***? I am as close as you can get to getting a chalk board..writing "Bosh", "Wade", "Napier", "Ennis" on it and then saying...okay...everybody else...good bye. Not a single free agent has panned out so far. Either they are injured (Deng, McBob) or are just awful (Granger)
Ladies and Gentlemen..I present to you..Dwyane Wade this season....21.8 ppg on 54% Shooting, 6 APG, 3.5 RPG, a 25.33 PER which is good enough for #2 in the NBA at SG behind James Harden at 25.76. I mean..come on. Wasted.
Their play has been beyond frustrating. Just baffling how ****ty the defense has been. Does Spo need to adjust the system? It it just a lack of effort. Wade and Bosh can only do so much when we can't stop a freaking nosebleed.
McBob and Cole work for Lance Stephenson. I'd consider it. Chicago may want Deng back at the reasonable price we signed him for
That game winner must have really given Nick Johnson confidence. He is looking like Harden out there tonight. Up 19 on Phoenix right now. Didn't expect this on back to back.
Nice win. Good to have Beverly back. These next 3 days of rest should help some of these nagging injuries. Maybe Papanikolaou and Dwight can come back. 16-4
How does JJ have another year on that contract after this season? We've been talking about that being a bad deal for like 10 years. Does it ever end? Holy crap.
McBob finally looked like...McBob. Versatile, efficient, distributing, effective on the perimeter doing a variety of things. When he plays like that they can do all the fun inverted floor stuff Spo is getting after. Hopfeully he keeps it up, 'cause...ANOTHER back-to-back tonight in Denver! Woohoo. Gotta keep up with them running Nuggs.
Nick Markakis (Nick Markakis!) who just left the Baltimore Orioles purchased a "Thank you" newspaper ad to the fans of Baltimore. Still waiting LeBron......
I don't know that we have the assets anyway, but I do believe we will make some kind of move by the deadline.
of the three nets...the guy that fits great is Deron Williams. Joe Johnson would have to play a lot at his least eff. position at sf...although it opens it up for a great closing unit with Wade running the point and JJ at the #2. problem is...Deron's contract stretches into 2016 and that is a no go.
Only guy id be interested in is JJ.. But not on that contract...Lopez is always injured and Deron in Miami is a recipe for disaster..
I'd be reluctant to hit the flush button in December based on impatience with the health and assimilation of Luol Deng and Josh McRoberts. I still believe in those signings. They were genuinely good signings. We're still three months away from when the most important basketball will be played. I'd like to wait until then before we know what Deng & McBob are bringing to the table.
Injuries first and foremost. We simply can't keep a consistent lineup together. And defense is really struggling. Teams routinely shooting in the high 50's against us. Luckily we play in the East!
well..we broke our losing streak in Phoenix, looking pretty good...then went to Denver on a B2B for a scheduled loss. Lets see if they are out of the woods going forward.
What happened to the defense? I saw Bosh say teams have figured out the old scheme a bit so they've injected some new stuff. Is it a chemistry thing or a roster thing?
I'll start to worry after the all star break.. as long as they keep it .500 till then they're in good shape.. after the all star break they need to get serious.
This is my thought as well. With two guys like Bosh amd Wade, the offense is going to be fine in the long run. But man: when you see Bosh, Wade, Chalmers, Cole, and Deng on the roster...that should provide you with a really strong team defense, you would think. But it just ain't happening. It's a pretty big concern, imo. Teams are shooting the lights out against the Heat almost every night.
