"Here we are again" probably isn't the message I would be sending to long-suffering Miami fans.

I'm gonna be screaming so loud they'll hear me from all the way around the world. For those of us who can make it, please head to the game and be as loud as you can for those of us who can't make it this. Go Phins!

I think the line "the only thing any of us wants is to be in the fight when the bell rings" sells a lot of the fan base short. Being in the fight in December isn't terribly hard in today's NFL. Let's set the standard a little higher.

    Well away from here
I think he tried to wax poetically on the emotion, however, I think the words used betrayed him more than helped him as they don't quite work. The idea is strong, but the execution is lacking unfortunately. Something like this needs a lot of revisions, but I think the time frame prohibited that.

Its on those of us who can attend to give us a home field advantage in our biggest game of the year. Letter or no letter.

So if you're lucky enough to go, be loud.

I think you're missing my point a bit. I'm not saying we must go to the Super Bowl. I'm saying "being in the fight" is a pretty low bar to set. We were "in the fight" last year too. Let's get past that. Let's get in the playoffs and perhaps win a game or two.

I took "being in the fight" meaning once you are in, anything can happen. Once you are in the fight, then you set the bar to WIN the fight. This statement doesn't bother me

You're in the fight or you're not. Soooooooo we are where we want to be considering the alternative. Obviously the goal is bigger and better. But for 12/4/14 we are where we wanna be.

It's a nice, inspiring letter, but the reality is that the TEAM is going to make the difference. It's not OUR house, it's the TEAM's house and only the players on the field can make a difference...

Just wish the message would get out more to the Miami market in general...this is gonna be a fight yall, I'm tellin ya, raven fans travel greatly and they and the team are desperate.

Quit your freakin tailgating early and get in the freakin seats..

Jesus man, what more is it gonna take for us to put the god damn team first..what's it gonna take for you to stand and get engaged when we're on defense..what's it gonna take for us to understand its a 60 min game and not get discouraged when they get a first down..

Would be nice if the Dolphins marketing team got off their *** and did something about it.

Those fans are gonna bring their A# game, what are you gonna do about that, have another Chicken wing and be social or get into the game where your team truLy needs you.

True as far as making plays and such, but the crowd can certainly affect the opposing offense by being too loud to allow clean communication. The crowd definitely makes a difference. Our loss up in Buffalo was a good example...definitely seemed like home field and and home crowd helped them out there.

"Your destiny is calling" would be a lot better sounding than "your fate is calling," IMO. Destiny seems active, and fate seems passive. As Con said, revisions would have helped a lot.

The problem with the letter is it beats around the bush. Something like...

"Miami fans, you suck. You don't come to the games and more often than not, we have no home field advantage. If we're going to make the playoffs with 3/4 final games taking place at home, it would be nice if you pretended to give a ****."

If the home crowd expects the team to show up they better expect themselves to show up too.

Regardless, we're still gonna have 15k Ravens fans.

You don't think it would be disheartening to the team (hypothetically speaking) *Cough like we did to the Jets* if the opposing team's fans are louder than your own home field. I think that would make a huge psychological difference.

I am a believer in the 12th man.

Without a doubt, the 12th man makes a difference to a certain point...the the guys on the field have to make it happen...so far, most fans are in a wait and see attitude about this team...they come into the jests house and basically squeak by... No fire, no excitement...just business as usual...
If we go out there and set the Ravens afire, that's re-ignite the fans...not a letter...

I was so happy hearing the chants of DEFENSE when the Jets had the ball Monday night! You know that had to be discouraging to the Jets. Yeah the 12th man can make a difference for the team and the game.
