Looks like I'm going to the midnight showing instead of the 6 am. Our local theatre is having a Joker pajama party, of course there wont be any Hotties in thier PJ's, but I can hope.
I'm debating on when to go. I'm one of those people that gets super annoyed by others talking. I might just wait for DVD.
I'm with you on being annoyed by talkers. But if I had to wait for this to get to dvd I'd probably lose my mind.
If you find a theater where there's quiet, I might just go fly across the Atlantic just to go there. BTW, anyone who has seen the movie please comment if the theater vis a vis DVD experience makes a difference.
Just heard Bale on the radio in an interview, he said "There will be no Robin as long as I have any say in these movies".
I watched a great show on the History channel last night. I believe it was called Batman Unmasked. Basically it was a bunch of Psychiatrists talking aobut the history of Batman, the psychology of the characters, and how they fit one another perfectly. It was an awesome show which makes me want to see TDK even more! Check the history channel for any reruns of the show. It is definitely a good show to watch to get you more hyped up for this movie if you weren't hyped enough.
you can watch or download the history channel thing here. http://video.supernovatube.com/divx.php?viewkey=25608986
I guess I should warn you guys. There was quite a few TDK scenes in there that have been previously unreleased. I wish I hadn't seen some of them.
I caught it last night. I really liked it. I had to fast forward through some of it because like you said, it had some new footage from TDK that I hadn't seen.
The last handfull of movies I have seen were pretty good experiences. They were mostly action films with a lot of noise. So that probably had something to do with it. Actually now that I think about it, during Iron Man the people behind me kicked the **** out of my seat a few times. Really annoying. I gave them the turn and look one time. So yeah I understand you wanting to have peace and quiet. I guess I'll risk it since I don't have the kind of home theater to match the experience you get in a regular theater.
I watched a special on HBO about the making of the movie. The whole film was shot in Chicago. They filmed the entire film using Imax cameras. The picture quality looks amazing.
so I decided to catch the late show tonight at 12 AM. I'm going to be worthless at work tomorrow, but oh well! Does anyone know of any teasers for next summer's movies will be shown with TDK?
IMAX showings were all sold out here in NY. So I'll have to see it in a regular theater tomorrow at 4:30, just bought my tickets on Fandango. I can't wait. I haven't anticipated a movie like this since Star Wars. Every review I've seen or read that has come from someone going in with high expectations has not been disappointed. I look forward to finally seeing a movie live up to the hype, rather than making me regret believing in it.
Rogert Ebert's review. I just skimmed it because I want to be as fresh as possible. But he really liked it. 4 stars. If he liked it then I'm pretty sure we are all going to love it. Have fun guys. I'm having to wait until tomorrow night. http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080716/REVIEWS/55996637
i want to see this one, i dont know about the ledger better then nicholson things but none the less I want to see it.....
My one gripe about Batman Begins was the hand to hand fighting camera angles were zoomed in so couldn't really appreciate the battle scenes.
GREAT f'ing movie. Amazing. Ledger truly does deserve an Oscar for his performance. Best superhero movie ever. Had a blast and I'm glad I went tonight.
