Fair enough. Right now none of the top guys interest me as prospects and I haven't seen anything that shows me "this guy has it" from them.

Of course I could be wrong. We are all wrong sometimes.

Wanna know something funny, I've visited more NFL websites then I think anyone, and you know what's weird, the websites we have for our team, thephins.com and others, have waaaay more activity then anywhere else..

If you go Over to Gang green right now they have like 200 posts in their game thread...we've had like over a thousand many times.

    Green Bay is a joke..

Franchise type QB's come along very seldom. Right now there are only three franchise type QB's in the NFL. Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, and Drew Brees. Prior to this year, Brady would have been included in this group but his play so far this season seems to remind me of Marino at the end of his career. He was still a good QB at times, but couldn't be considered the elite QB he had been in his earlier years. To me that is Brady now.

Of all the young QB's, only Luck and possibly Wilson will eventually develop into franchise QB's, IMO. So basically what you have is a group of very good QB's at the next level, which are probably the next 8-10 QB's in the league. Beyond these three franchise QB's and 8-10 very good QB's, you are left with a majority of team who have mediocre to bad starting QB's.

I have no idea if the Jets will be fortunate enough to find the next franchise QB or not in the 2015 draft. All I know is that Brady was taken in the 6th round and Brees and Rogers were not high first round draft picks and they certainly developed into franchise QB's.

Drafting a solid NFL QB is probably the hardest job of a NFL GM. Very seldom does a draft class have a Luck or Manning come out of college and be projected to be the starter for the next decade or more. Usually teams are drafting a QB and hoping they will eventually develop into a solid starting QB for them. Some times they get lucky and they hit on this QB. Unfortunately the majority of QB's taken in any draft end up out of the NFL in a few years.

While it might not appear right now that the 2015 draft ist loaded with quality QB's, a few years from now, we might all be wondering why the Dolphins didn't draft that 2015 draft pick at the QB position who is rising to the top in the NFL. Hopefully it isn't the Jets who draft this QB.

True, but sometimes those prospects give you more reason than other times to be optimistic about that development. A lot of the failure we see in my opinion is simply due to the volume of teams that need a QB. For instance there was little reason to believe EJ Manuel would be a starter in this league, but the need for a QB drove his stock to the point where he was a first rounder.

Other times you have drafts with early first round prospects you expect to have success. All drafts aren't created equal even though you are right that sometimes players come from nowhere.

For example though compare a draft like Rivers, Ben, Eli. Most people thought those guys would all have success. The question was how much. Then look at a draft where a guy like Ponder is a top QB. I knew of very few people who thought he would be any good.

So to make a long post short...we can't declare anything for certain but we can project based on our best info.

Wow the cardinals' receivers have 8 drops today so far, the most recent by ted ginn jr. And they are still only down a TD to the broncos.

While I agree this is a great site to come to and discuss the Dolphins and NFL related news.

I'm not sure what your problem is with Green Bay. Because while their may be more activity on this forum than a Green Bay Packers forum. The reality is the Packer fans show up for Packer games, no matter how hot or cold it is outside. You never see the stands filled with empty seats throughout the stadium during Packer games like you do at Dolphin games.

So while Packer fans might not have the time or desire to connect with one another on an internet forum. They certainly connect at the stadium when it counts. It should be noted that the Packers play in a stadium which was build in 1957. It was partially renovated in 2003, but there is no covering for the fans, who fill the stadium each and every game day, no matter the weather outside.

Given a forum filled with fans comments or a stadium filled on game days. I will take the stadium every time,

Personally I like Winston if he can get over his immaturity issues. He just has the ability to make plays when he really needs to. That is the sign of a a quality QB in my opinion. I would hate to see the Bills or Jets draft Winston. He could end up being a bust if he doesn't show more maturity in the NFL, but under the right head coach, he could be one of the top five QB's in the NFL within a few years, IMO.

Here's what I would do about Samson satele, as the GM you now get to reward yourself by making some good moves, Pouncey is back, I would put Satele on the block for a trade to a team that needs a center, San diego has just lost their third center of the year and he ain't coming back, show them the tape, they are a team that has championship aspirations and they can't afford to fu&& with that center dynamic..see if you can get a fourth.

They have been filling up that stadium since it was built in 1957. Even when they had terrible teams and well before any renovations were done to improve the fan experience at the game. They are just pure football fans who would show up to watch their team, even if the games were held in a cow pasture.

I sure did...but nobody that mattered did I guess...like I said, that's the surest I've EVER been about a pick...and I was right on that one. He shared many traits with Marino was why I was so high on him.

Would Luck be worth a current 1 and 2 future 1s? I'd say he is. Much more-so than IR3...err...RG3.

Are the Jets giving us the definition of dumpster fire? #1 run D in the league going into that game, and got GASHED HEAVY.

Edit: Does anybody think Sexy-Rexy and Morningwood keep their jobs this year?

I liked Rivers coming out of college, but I never felt he was worth the picks the Dolphins would have had to give up to move up and draft him. He has had a nice career, but knowing what I know today, I would still have passed on trading up for him and instead offered the Chargers the 19th pick in the 2004 draft for Brees instead.

In fact I would have preferred the Dolphins to trade up and take Roethlisberger instead of Rivers. As I stated earlier, Rivers has basically been a very mediocre QB once his team got to the playoffs.

He obviously is playing very well right now, but this is his 11th year in the NFL. The two other QB's taken in the top ten of the 2004 draft both have led their teams to two Super Bowl wins. To me, the only QB's worth trading up for and giving up more than one first round draft pick are QB's who can win a SB for your organization. Rivers so far has not proved to be this type of QB. In fact the Chargers gave up on Brees by drafting Rivers and Brees has clearly proved to be the better NFL QB over the past ten years.

I'll admit that the Dolphins would have had a better record over the past ten years if Rivers had been their starting QB, but I feel that Brees and Roethlisberger could have done more with the talent on this team over that time period than Rivers could have. I just think that over the past ten years, both of them have had better careers than Rivers.

Perhaps if Rivers leads his team to the Super Bowl this season, I'll reconsider my view of him. As of right now, I see him as an above average regular season QB, who's play suffers once he get in the playoffs. Maybe he can alter my opinion of him if he gets his team into the playoffs this season.

Brady and the Pats are like Michael Myers in Halloween, everyone always sees the body lying dead but no one ever bothers to cut off their head. Reports of their demise have been GREATLY exaggerated. Pisses me off man. Til he's gone for good we have zero chance to take the division.

People have been calling for Brady and New England to be "done" since 2005..... Brady is still a top 5 quarterback people... its not over for them unfortunately. Itll be over when we beat them for the division at their best.

On the bright side. Once the Patriots hand the Bengals their first defeat tonight, the members of the undefeated Dolphins team in 1972 can all go to bed happy. Because there will be no teams left in the NFL with no losses this season.

Of course at their age now, most of them will probably be in bed well before the game is over tonight.

How does Marvin Lewis keep his job? This is embarrassing.Brady gift wrapped an INT that was dropped and there is almost no pressure getting to him. They're letting him pick them apart. Bungholes are putting on a clinic in how NOT to play defense.

Finally a sack of Brady. Now rinse and repeat.

When you think about it, they havent rly done anything special other than be hot in the beginning of the season... Hell buffalo has had hot starts before and ended up with a top 10 draft pick... only two dominant teams are in the afc and thats the chargers and broncos
