Lebby also revealed that Lebron James "UN-CLOSED" Pau Gasol to Miami. Gasol was coming to Miami and Lebron James talked him "out of it".
You've got to be kidding me. Riley met with Gasol days before "The Letter". So the guy knew then but still let Riley, and more importantly Wade and Bosh, twist in the wind? I'm not gonna minimize how great the guy was here or how awesome the last 4 years were, but LeBron is an unethical, disloyal, lying weasel. He cares about nothing but his own self interest. I mean, we should've known that given that we only got him because of those same unethical douchbaggy qualities, but I think 4 straight Finals should've bought something.
What LeBatard said was that Gasol asked Lebron if he was staying in Miami because the Heat were recruiting him, Lebron told him his decision was up in the air, supposedly.
Doesn't matter really. LeBron's "people" leaked to Woj at the beginning of free agency that he was giving Riley a window the first few days of FA to bring in reinforcements before LeBron seriously started looking elsewhere. If this story is accurate, then Riley had succeeded in securing the best possible addition for the team as it was constructed at that time around the Big 3 (Deng would have bit redundant alongside the Big 3). And yet, LeBron still wouldn't commit, which just proves that he is full of crap and never intended to stay here intentionally sabotaging our prospects.
Also, if LBJ had committed at that time and we secured Pau, Bosh might've taken a haircut as well to add additional reinforcements. In short, there is absolutely no reason to think we wouldn't have been right back in the Finals, with probably the best Heat roster EVER. But LeBron pulled the plug for whatever reason, whether it's the public SI article reason or something else. But the run wasn't over.
Whoa Cavs grabbed Bogans' contract. They now have $16.5 million in unguaranteed contracts for the 2015 year. Wonder if someone like Larry Sanders or Hibbert will shake loose.
Now youre starting to understand some of the things Knicks, Bulls and Cavs fans felt a few years ago. The guy is the master of mixed signals and masking his real intentions. I just want him to LeFail..hes a weasel all the way.
? They're both under contract and could be absorbed into those guaranteed deals (assuming the Cavs have other stuff those teams would want)
Even Heat fans have admitted he's a bit of a drama queen, weasel is a little strong I think. The dudes heart has always been in Cleveland, when the fan ran onto the court that night and Bron extended his hand.....you had to see it was a possibility.
Well, I'm guessing this isn't going to go over well considering what Sec knows about Miller's departure. http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2014/09/mike_miller_on_what_angered_le.html#incart_2box
He sealed his fate when he asked for a Trade.............AFTER WINNING A CHAMPIONSHIP! I know people that like him personally, but he was the one consistent malcontent throughout the three years he was here. I just love how he faked an injury to stay out of Cleveland when he got amnestied..and now he is there and is asked to produce.
I don;t see how it fits without trading Varejao and that is Bron's Blankie...so I doubt they do that.
Well....I gotta say my hands are clean on this one since I have been *****ing about the guy for three years. Such a fabulous player..probably a fabulous person in private among friends as well.....but he is definitely a flawed human being. There is something "off" with him.
He essentially admitted that his letter was bunk, when he told Rachel Nichols that he would've stayed if we had won the title. So, the result of 3 basketball games made the difference. And now this Miller stuff. Can't have it both ways. Either he is the guy from the essay, or a mercenary looking for the best team possible at maximum dollars. And either one is ok. But he feels the need to lie about it.
LeBron's need to be liked seems like the thing that gets him in trouble the most. It's a really foreign thing to see from a super duper star like him.
http://www.nba.com/heat/red-white-pink-game-live-stream The Link for the Red-White game. Noticeable from start...the Heat has new P&R principles. Playing a style similar to what the Bulls do. Extend laterally and not horizontally.
Heat Nation lives. When the going gets tough we don't back down, we get on that court and play Heat basketball. Hey Lebron, we are coming for you.
Go get 'em DWade. Anxious to see what we get out of Bosh with the offense actually designed to get him shots
Yep Mrtree totally agree. Kind of tired of people acting like we are dead in the water. Yeah we probably wobt win a title this year but we are going to make the playoffs and be tough to eliminate. Indiana is done so its Miami, Chicago and Cleveland in the East. Not much competition below that.
Went to the Cavs scrimmage last night - woooo they look fun. I knew Love threw those outlet passes - just not how often. You can't look away or you miss an entire possession. Crazy. Fun to see Kyrie with real teammates. Haywood looked healthy - which would be huge. With about 60 seconds left in the first half LeBron suddenly stopped moving. He wasn't running down when his team got the ball and when the ball came back to his side he wasn't even really challenging his guy - just letting him run by. Came to the sidelines and iced his back and knees the rest of the game. That back injury is a bit frightening.
They are very good. I think they will be tough to eliminate but I don't think they are quite there yet.
I want a finals appearance this season more than any Lebron was here. This season means more to me than any Lebron was here. I want to eliminate him in the conference finals in our building. I want him to watch the finals at home. Unfortunately what I want and reality don't always mix.
As a Cavs fan I want no part of the Heat in the playoffs. Talk about a bunch of bulldogs you don't want to face in an elimination game. And while the Cavs have a ton of talent, most of it hasn't seen playoff intensity. And I think Blatt could be a great coach, but Spoelstra already is. Could see Heat coasting a bit in the regular season and ending up the 4th or 5th seed and being a really tough out in the 2nd round.
Saw a quote today where Lebron admitted going back to Cleveland wasn't 100% why he made his decision. It went on to quote a friend who said Lebron wanted more seats/power for his friends. He needs to be humbled. He puts a ball through a hoop, he isn't some sort of god.
I think he and his friends wanting more control over the organization is a major reason why he's in Cleveland.
Yeah, why on Earth wasn't the game broadcast in Central Florida? I watched HeatNation and then, black screen. Why didn't the Magic have their own broadcast?
Ennis is gonna be a beast off the bench for us. Which is good because I'm not sure we have a decent bench.
