Yep. I want someone who actually shows emotion on the sideline. That's not the only trait they need but it shows they care. Philbin is just standing there on the sideline. Sometimes he takes his headphones off. Sigh.

It happens when we convert only 4 of 15 third downs and none of the two fourth downs we tried for, combined with not being able to get off the field on defense.

We've been down by what 10 pts or more early in all 3 games? Kinda hard to to win when you are set up to be behind early every game. Philbin is just not the guy to turn this team around. Maybe its reading too much into things but Reid going for that last minute **** you touchdown instead of kneeling seemed to reek of disrespect for a coach. I would have got in face if I was Philbin but of course he thanked him for the beating and wished him well at the end because thats what he does.

The coaches are REALLY not putting the players in a place to succeed IMHO. I don't know everything about coaching or calling a game, but some of this stuff just seems obvious, even to people who know little about how that stuff works.

Philbin's clock management grades at a humongous F. Just horrible, stupid, and disconnected.

I keep thinking back to that first drive against Atlanta in the pre-season...what happened to that? We haven't seen it since, and it was inventive, smooth, and decisive...granted it was against a vanilla defense. Have the regressed even since then? Just bad bad bad so far...so many disjointed problem areas.

With all the complaints coming from players on all squads, leaking out of the locker room, Philbin obviously has no control over this team, and doesn't have their respect. This team fails at fundamentals...I put ALL of that on coaching...it's their #1 job IMO.

I don't need emotion. Bill in NE doesn't show much, neither does Gus. But, with those guys, you know they know what they're doing. A fiery leader can be great, but there's also something to be said for a reserved guy who you just know has you set up to succeed.

just beyond annoyed at this team right now. The players have every right to be pissed off, its time to ditch Joe and Coyle this is brutal enough trying forcing it to make it work clearly not working.

Bill shows plenty of emotion. I've seen him chew out guys on the sideline including refs. Gus shows emotion as well.

I didn't say fiery leader. I want someone who isn't a cardboard cutout.

On first view, I thought Jenkins played just fine. Finnegan wasn't bad either. Trusnik is being asked to do things he isn't capable of doing consistently at a high level. I'm still waiting for Delmas to be an upgrade over Clemons. I cannot recall Wilson or Wheeler blowing any plays. Maybe I'll see them if I watch it again.
The one thing I'll say for sure is I think we have found a solid long term starter in Jenkins.

Philbin needs to go. The players clearly don't believe in him anymore. Coyle needs to go right along with him, and Rizzi and probably Lazor too. I doubt we'll clean house before the offseason though. It's not Ross' style. We'll just have to suffer through another mediocre or sub-mediocre season before we change anything.

He doesn't just make tackles 7 yards down the field.

He was the one who got the safety today, but that was not his only good play.

Maybe if you only go by ints. How about the sweet PBU he made early in the Buffalo game? Even when today's game was out of hand, he was the one who came in and ripped the ball out of Davis's hands for a forced fumble that we recovered.

We'll get a half *** makeover most likely. Though I do think Hickey has done a decent job so far.

  25. defense did there job this loss belongs to an anemic offense

If you count tons of missed tackles and failed coverage doing their job...sure...they were great.

The DL did their work...others didn't.

  27. that was not a jesture of disrespect. He took what the defense gave him. Suck it up and accept the horrible reality that the Dolphins got out executed by a less talented team on paper but by a far superior coached one.

He did not run up the score he took what was given

I agree. That was the height of disrespect. I'd have never shook that fat bastard's fat hand after that. Bloody his nose maybe. I hate Fat Andy now. Not that I was ever fond of him before, thought I did respect he was a good coach. Now I hope for all the ill will that can be heaped upon his fat walrus looking face and body.

  29. absolutely the defense (specifically our LBs) left a bit to be desired but the offense was stalled the entire game. The defense kept hope alive all; the way to the end. How do you lay this loss on their side of the ball?

He and his brethren had more missed tackles than some teams likely have in half a season.

I had Brent Grimes for at least 4 today. He's been down this year. Wilson and Delmas were both pretty terrible today. NEVER thought I'd say this, but Cortland Finnegan was probably the best DB today.

Will Davis I thought was better in coverage today than he was in weeks 1 and 2, but my goodness, he's a SOFT as they come.

Bullshtt. The game was in hand. They had it won. When you have the game definitely won, you go into victory formation. We had one timeout left but were letting the clock run, which means we were conceding. That fat bastard can eat sh!t and die for all I care. It would have served Fat Andy right if one of his key starters tore an ACL on that last TD.

I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree. It goes hand in hand with smack talking. If you dont want it to happen, stop them! Just like as if they wouldn't have a reason to talk smack/run up the score if we would make a play and stop them. To the players & coaches, stop whining about it and take responsibility for a crap performance.
