I lost Moreno at the start of his game. He was only able to score 0.4 more than Martin if it makes you feel better. Plus I couldn't squeeze Bobby Rainey into Fred Jackson's spot in time after I added him just before kickoff. Waiting for Yahoo's friggin Stat Tracker to load froze my NFL.com page long enough to leave me holding my dick. damnit.
To be fair the rumors are that you're always holding your prick anyway! But seriously, **** Matt Forte and his ****ty performance tonight costing me two leagues probably. I hope T.Y. Hilton and Zach Ertz lay eggs tomorrow and roll ankles or something in the first quarter to keep them out the rest of the game. I'm up against hilton and ertz in a pay league and ertz in this one. I'm also looking to make wholesale changes except for Jordy Nelson. Everyone else is on the block for the right price. QB TE and Rb are priorities. Wr isn't pretty for me but it has some upside and I'll roll with that unless a better offer comes through...
Pretty upset I didn't start Gates as my second flex when I should have known he would outscore Hurns. Oh well, haven't played in a couple seasons and its a learning experience. But I'd probably end up 2-0 if I had. Back to the drawing board. Update: Close matchup of the week has to go to myself and whoever BagOfSmashedA**holes is. Separated by one point in the 4th quarter of the last game and both sides have guys on the field.
Foles racking up 152 happy-birthday yards on Darren Sproles' screens just murdered me. GIK is up 212.45 - 210.20 barring corrections. Rough week for losing points to injuries. Moreno, followed by Sio Moore early in the 3rd quarter, and then Mychal Kendricks exiting the 3rd quarter of a 2 point game.
Such a risky trade given Lacy history with concussions. But based off this move you will be going hard in FA.
Tis true, but I'm hoping it'll let me replace Moreno's departed production, plus I have Jordan Cameron dealing with a shoulder issue..... although, there was a chance Pierce could've filled in for Moreno or even for Joique Bell just fine w/o having to lose a WR who will probably put up 18+ point every other week. I'm a sucker for Lacy's upside I guess.
That was really close. If your RB didn't get hurt you'd have won. Patriot defense was a buzzsaw. I was 100% sure you won heading into the Eagle game.
Half my leagues I had Doug Martin.... the other half I had Jamal Charles.... it was a rough week haha
You want Tannehill? He's put up similar numbers to Drew Brees so far around 30 ppg and should be passing more with our backs going down.
Last week in my money league I happened to have both Jordan Reed and Tyler Eifert. That was pretty sweet...
lol I didnt have anyone else playing a late game... I was f'd if he didn't play. Atlest I made some points as opposed to none.
My biggest money league I won 121-105 despite starting Colston and the Dolphins D who combined for a -1. My second biggest money league I lost by 4 despite facing Moreno because Forte couldn't do squat vs Sf.
Man, you're spending too much time on Xbox Live with 12 year olds if those are your comebacks... That 3 month vacation is killing your game.
I accepted that last offer. I think it's fair with Matthews missing a few games. If anyone is interested in D. Bowe, Welker, or T. Austin I'd move one (or two) for a HB in a deal.
Side note: Is it possible to push trades through faster? After everyone here has had a chance to voice any concerns of course?
I usually push them through as soon as possible. At times works gets in the way as you know Alex. Side note, the only real proposals Ive gotten in that league are from Alex and Todd. I guess everyone else is happy with their teams....?
My guess is most people like their draft and don't want to give up on players after 1-2 weeks. I know that made it hard for me personally, but my flex positions were so poor and I needed to bench Austin until he shows production so I considered it more necessary.
TBH, when I send trade offers, I typically try to include players whom I think compliment the other GM's roster the best and provide him a better chance to improve his overall point production rather than dumping players on him I don't want with the hopes of making him a sucker. I'd rather pay a little more for a player I want and leave both sides happy rather than pull off a trade coup and leave the other GM with buyer's remorse. If this were a money league it might be a little different however. Every man for himself in that case.
I dont think Ive included any player I dont want. I generally subscribe to a similar practice to what youre describing.
