Good stuff. I'd love to give thumbs up to every Dolphins OL. I wonder what Cog, Jerry and J-Mart would think about new Fins OL now. NVM Probably they would not give **** about it.lol
I like Tanne's quote "That was like a day off". Compared to last year it certainly was, I am not sure if he knew what to do with all of that free time.
If he plays like he did on Sunday and doesn't get hurt, he's worth the money..he was very aggressive in his nature as well.
Not sure I would call them awesome, but what a difference from last years cast. I remember the preseason last year and how the d line was having their way with the o line constantly. At the time I chalked it up to how much talent we had on the d. Should have realized then we were in trouble. If nothing else Ireland was guilty of gross negligence in the group of offensive lineman he brought us into the season with. Another off season like this and I think we'll need to erect a statue of Hickey at Sunlife Stadium next to Dan.
Loved this little snippet: Tannehill changed out of a uniform that could forgo the typical bleaching,
I was very confident this offseason about the oline, and it simply came from understanding how bad the players that were there last year truly were, and breaking down the ones we had this year..the talent difference and athleticism between Albert and James relative to Clabo and Martin was substantial.
The interior OL was strong as well. These guys are in the right scheme and they know what they are doing.
One thng I would caution about Hickey is that he only had to take a roster built by Ireland and fill in the holes Jeff couldnt. He hasnt had to build his own roster to this point. Ive been very happy and slightly shocked with his success so far but I still have some questions.
I'm looking forward to how he approaches the next off-season. Like you I think he's done fine so far, I just want to see more of his overall approach in bringing in playmakers and building depth, while maintaining the team's level of play.
