Look at that mother****er!! Ready to wreak havok!! Ready to bullrush the punter and then take off Brady's head!

Dion Jordan better recognize quick that a new sheriff is in town.. Hopefully he will play inspired like Lamar Miller did today when he saw Moreno run loose.

I haven't been this excited about a player in a long time.. Undrafted FA. Full of energy. Can this guy compete for DRPOY?

Kid is the goods. Blocked punt, sack AND talking trash to the Pats in his first ever game? Giddy up.

Didn't CK and others say Chris McCain had too small of a frame. Hell he sacked Tom Brady today and blocked a punt.
    The kid is a keeper.

Don't know what CK initially said, but lately he's been speaking of giving McCain starter reps.

This is kid is going to be special. He looks like Wake Jr. I don't even think this is a premature assessment. This kid has IT whatever it is.

I don't recall that being said. He has a good size frame. He was 6'5 and only 224 lbs at his Pro Day last March-April, and around 250 now and doesn't look too filled out. What we have here is a natural, instinctive football player. What he does between the lines is all he should be evaluated by.

He looks like the team's SLB. Jordan doesn't look like that, he looks like a nickel pass rusher and eventually Wake's replacement.

His IT is being really good at pass rushing. No need to make it some ethereal concept.

What CK said was that McCain's better as a linebacker rather than a D-Lineman. And you know what? Fine by me.

The difficult thing for opposing defenses is that he's coming off the same side as Wake.

McCain looks like an ideal Will to me. His forte in a base defense is back side pursuit and being in chase mode. He has the agility and instincts to cover a back flaring out of the backfield too. Jordan should have been left at 250 lbs like Deej said and made the Sam, playing head up on the TE and covering him on pass plays.

He's good at much more than just rushing the passer though.

If he can cover a back he'll be even better against a TE with his height. As a former DE I doubt he lacks the strength to take a TE head on. The reason I'd like to leave WLB open is Jelani Jenkins. Having a LB that can run down the field like that and just flat out move gives you a tremendous advantage. The question then becomes Tripp at MLB, can he get around blocks?

Jenkins was used in Gronk coverage and looked pretty decent at it.

In the base D, I just liked what I saw of McCain in the preseason playing on the open side, against air. Several of his more notable plays were closing from the back side and pursing down the line on run plays when left unblocked as the Will.

That is tough. Sometimes you cover up guy's abilities at SLB, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing it just impacts McCain's career being a SLB over a WLB. It's very difficult finding a guy willing to be a SLB that can do it all and yet takes on that spot.

On another note: Fede should become a nickel DT. That would really put this no cost, high upside program Hickey has going into a nice state.

Marshall Faulk won't be surprised by the big plays today from McCain.

You legitimately heard how he was impressed by him and that he saw JT out there . He's an impact player whenever he is on the field , so far. Don't want to get too ahead of myself but there's an awful lot to like and potential there. A difference maker for us at LB ? That would work.

While he played mostly LB in preseason, it will be interesting to see how they use him going forward. They only used him as a DE and McCain admitted they told him before the game he would only get snaps at DE not LB in this game. Now I don't know if that was just for this particular week or what…but I will be disappointed if they try to make him a 3 down DE. He is much more natural at LB IMO and I think he's more effective rushing the passer from a 2 point stance…but he certainly has a potential as a pass rusher either way. Even at that, let him play LB on early downs and he can rush the passer from the DE position in certain packages etc if thats what they want.

I get it all the time. My last name is McCain, and people generally say "McLain". I've gotten use to it.

Told my wife I was related to him after he blocked the punt. She chuckled and said, "He's a black guy!" after he pulled off his helmet.

I'm not a black guy....but I am still going to tell folks my cousin plays for Miami!

YKY is because the Diehard character John McClane said Yippee Ki Yay in the movie. Now, aren't you sorry you asked?

CC9 for Clay is because he wore #9 at Tulsa and CC9 is his twitter handle, or so they say. I haven't confirmed that.

When they PG 13'd that line down to that.......that was the end of Die Hard. At least he didn't call him the YKYMF'er which would have been shortened into the:

My dad was going to name me that, but I think my mom overruled him. My dad talks to me like I was around when that show aired......"remember that show?" I'm like, "I remember MTV....."

Up until this year, I had not seen it. Then I was flipping through channels one Saturday morning this spring, and it came on.....some kind of 'Rifleman' marathon or something. Watched a couple if episodes while perusing the web. Not a bad show. Typical western type show. Tell you what, I want that lever-action! I love lever-action rifles.
