Just stop. He wouldn't commit to a bold prediction to feed the medias fat belly and now "even Lebron doesn't believe"...q He made a bold prediction at the Heat pep rally in 2010....and it backfired on him. He's evolved on and off the court.
There's a big difference in the experience of the players around him when he won 60+ games with the Cav's. I think the biggest concern I see is that he has a lot of youth around him who he hasn't play with before. I think it will take quite some time to get that team to be one of the top East teams.
No one asked for a bold prediction. He offered that up. But logically, we are to assume he feels they are a championship contender with nothing to go by, but I have some kind of agenda to suggest that he might feel otherwise based off of him saying so?
Did you read his letter? Did LeBron just make that part up? By the way, I'm the guy who said a couple dozen pages ago after the Miller signing that the Cavs can now be projected as a 1 Seed. I just think their absolute ceiling is the ECF, if LeBron plays in Game 6 Boston mode the entire time.
If they get Love though that will not hold true. They need to get Love and Gorgi Dieng in the deal. Dieng is a very serviceable center waiting to happen. Averaged 10 and 8 down the stretch with a slew of blocks and steals.
Um, no. When I said I doubt that, I mean I doubt the Cavs being a one-seed. Granted, I should have been more clear....
You should have, yes. I don't believe the Cavs will be the 1 Seed either. I think they have a legitimate shot at it, that's all. Wouldn't be surprised if it happens.
Wow, I guess that win share data also has an agenda! It's insulting that you think everybody who disagrees with you is irrational. There are obviously objective reasons to believe that the Cavs are not one of the top teams in the East.
No it's logic, take Brons avg win total IN CLEVELAND then compare it to a weak easts seeding of late. Then tell me what you get. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

IF the Cavs don't get Love or make another big move I think the 4th seed is probably right, if they get Love I think they could be a #1 seed. The team didn't get 3 superstars like the Heat did 4 years ago, its not the same building process. I think Lebron is not an idiot, I think he sees this as a 2-3 year process. When he is a FA in 2 years and the Cavs have cap space to add another max player then resign him its on and I think the Cavs could have a run similar to Miami's 4 years. I'm not sure what the knock is on Lebron, he's not predicting titles and he went back to Cleveland for what I think are decent reasons, I get Heat fans are bitter but there is no denying that adding Lebron to your team, having 3 #1 draft picks and some decent trade bait on the team gives the Cavs a shot at building a seriously good team. I hope my Wizards can make a run while the Heat and Cavs are not world beaters....
Once he signed a two year deal, I knew the move was about image marketing and not any BS saving Cleveland crap. He's still chasing rings like a 40 year old woman afraid of dying alone, he's just doing it in another city.
So are the plans for the huge dong still ongoing or is it going to be a completely different statue, just slightly smaller?
I agree. That move was a vote of no confidence in Wade and Bosh. But the college thing makes sense. LeBron is now doing the same thing DWade did in 2010, trying to assemble his own team.
Well if they do it to Wade's proportions, they'd probably have to tear down the Arscht Center to make space. Unless they wanna just rest it directly on top of the Arsht Center. That could work too.
That's originally why I suggested they tear it down. Even somehow placing it across both buildings puts a lot of stress on the roofs.
I think we're all forgetting that the Wade statue has to play nicely with the nearby statue of Dan Marino. It also has to work within the city architecture. This means that the dong is going to act as a new bridge between Miami and Miami Beach.
In all seriousness, the Wade statute has to be him in the EuroStep with the ball held out in front of him. That's his signature move. The pump fake for the foul is kind of hard to put in statue form, lol
Like the win shares calculation, I have them to about third place in the East. But Washington, Toronto and even Charlotte are threats to move in that spot as well. Less likely than Cleveland IMO, but realistically possible. It's simply b/c I don't see this as a better team than the one that Lebron had before. IMO Lebron is better, but the rest of the team is weaker. Irving is talented, but still a couple of years away. Likewise w/ Wiggins. The rest of the team and the bench is poor. If they get Love, I would move them up, but as of now third, maybe.
As Sec has stated, people are already starting to way under-rate how good the Heat were the last 4 years. 2010-2011 Wade was FAR superior to 2014 Kyrie Irving and Bosh was just about Love's equal (though their games were much different) And that Heat team didn't win the championship. I guess LeBron is better now, but I'm not sure he's so much better that he can drag players who aren't as good (yet) and a completely unproven coach to the championship right now. 2015, maybe. But in terms of the Love negotiations, I'm not sure why Minny is more interested in Wiggins now than they were the #1 pick that could've been anybody when the Cavs offered it previously. Who knows if Minny would have even taken Wiggins #1. Maybe they liked Parker, or would've taken a shot on Embiid.
If they add love..in 2 years they wont be able to add a max contract. And NOBODY worth a max is going there anyway.
I hope they dont even add Love. I dont really dislike Cleveland but I am not a fan of Lebron. Like I said, I hope he gets shut out of rings the rest of the way.
I don't think LeBron is worried about 2017. He's already starting to decline physically. I'm sure he can feel it.
Wade standing over the port of Miami with every cruise ship needing to sail underneath his apple sack would make me so happy.
There is an obvious difference in organizations. The San Antonio Spurs contacted the Heat a week ago concerning their interest in Greg Oden. (Spurs offered him a contract last year). The Heat informed the Spurs that they still had plans for signing Oden. Well, now it turns out that Greg Oden was contacted by the Cavs this week, and he made it known to the Heat FO. Heat FO got a chuckle out of it.
