I'm excited too because if Riley can bring in one more free agent then I believe we will be a better Heat team than last year, McRoberts is really a good pickup, don't know about Granger if he can hold up but time will tell. We have James Ennis who is building chemistry with Napier so our second unit is going to be much more improved.
What a dick Lebron really is, give the guy who made you a champion the cold shoulder, doesn't have the balls to tell Pat he is done with Miami, Lebron can seriously go **** himself now. I appreciate him a lot for those two titles he brought us but it doesn't excuse yourself for being a dick to someone who helped you out a lot.
Maybe I've missed it but did Miami retain the commitments of Granger and McBob even after LeBron left? They agreed thinking they would be playing with LeBron so I assumed they would have to be re-sold on playing for a LeBron-less Heat. What's the roster looking like right now? Something like this? C: Chris Andersen, Greg Oden, Justin Hamilton PF: Chris Bosh, Josh McRoberts, Udonis Haslem SF: Luol Deng, Danny Granger, James Ennis SG: Dwyane Wade, ??? PG: Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole, Shabazz Napier I assume we need another shooting guard? EDIT: I forgot Haslem.
Right but they're still going to want to have at least two natural shooting guards on roster, won't they?
It would be a smart move to go after Xavier Henry from the Lakers. Young physical, and big upside as a SG.
http://thebiglead.com/2014/07/14/dan-le-batard-lebron-reps-misled-the-heat/ Dan Lebatard indirectly CONFIRMED two of my "reports" in an interview with Dan Patrick.
Supposedly the commitments to McRoberts and Granger are still good, they are just trying to work everything out with the cap so they can get as much flexibility as possible.
Le Batard: This was a masterstroke as a PR move … I would say it’s more of a PR move than a basketball move. Although you can make the argument for Cleveland’s young roster, he’s going to be headed into the playoffs, in all likelihood, with a lot of guys who’ve never played a playoff game before. But it was perfect PR move… I found it interesting that Chris Sheridan, when he broke this story, was talking in sportswriter narrative — the mythology of going home, and the Rust Belt. I found that interesting because I didn’t think it could be right, that a sportswriter and an athlete would both have the sportswriter narrative. But, man, these guys planned that part out beautifully, so it doesn’t become about the way that his entourage feuded with Pat Riley at the end. Patrick: When do you think he made up his mind? Le Batard: Oh, it was before the end. I don’t think he does what he did — I don’t think he does that again to Cleveland, you know what I mean? — allows 10 days of hope, where he crushes Cleveland again. I think he knew before this. The Miami Heat have taken the high road on this, but it’s why they were behaving like a team that was going to get him — because they were misled by his guys. Patrick: What do you mean? Le Batard: The Miami Heat were behaving like a team that was gonna get him back. They were doing everything, like they were gonna get him back. That’s because the agent for LeBron James [Rich Paul] made them feel like they were gonna get him back. You can’t have two teams behaving like they were gonna get him back. I think it was before [the NBA Finals]. Here’s part of the problem, though, Dan. It’s hard for me to know what’s true and what isn’t, because people are talking about so many different things. But one thing that surprised me, and I heard it from a number of places, is that LeBron’s wife and LeBron’s mom didn’t want to actually go. When he was talking about going back and telling Pat Riley that he needed to talk to his family, he was talking about La Familia — the group of guys around him. Again, I don’t know what to believe, and I need to talk to LeBron about it. And get honesty from LeBron about it, and I’m not sure those things are possible given the way that they’re spinning these things in a PR way. But I’ve heard in too many places — not one or two — that Savannah didn’t actually want to go. It's as if I WROTE this. In a way...I kinda did.
So I take it right now the Heat must be looking at guys like Lance Stephenson, Brandon Rush and Garrett Temple for that shooting guard spot. Those are the names I've seen connected with them.
Xavier is awful. But I suppose if you aren't leaning on him to do too much, he can fill a roster spot.
Yeah you know what? I hope basketball karma bites Lebron in the ***. Have a nice life Lebron, but go to basketball hell....oh wait....you already did. Clrveland.
I don't know who Morey is going to trade other than Beverly or D-Mo and some picks, but now there is talk of Rondo again.
So again, LeBron went against the desires of his wife and mother to side with his boys. Good job pal. See how that works out for ya in the long term.
All so he can be the god of Cleveland. I kind of hope he wakes up tossing and turning 30 years from now, looking back at the worst decision of his life wondering what could have been.
Lebron is a self centered crybaby. Remember after he won his first ring how he said it the best moment of his life then realized how pathetic that sounded after just having a son? I don't think Lebron cares to much about his family outside of how they make him look.
The more that comes out, the worse he looks. I went from genuinly having no hard feelings towards the guy except his delaying the process to now....not knowing how I feel. Maybe I DO dislike him after all this stuff is being reported.
Lol. I'd love to see you say that to his face. Typical online consequence-free personal attacks...yeesh.
Well when your wife, mother and probably children love being somewhere and don't want to leave but you make them for your entourage. ....yeah I'm sorry it doesn't seem like you value them much. And if Lebron ever was in my face....yeah I'd say it to him. What's he gonna do beat me up? I'd sue his *** so hard
we are not talking about a guy to lean on. Just a guy to push Wade in practice and with a upside for cheap. I think he is fine for that.
Haven't really seen him much at all but yeah its kind of an issue. I mean everyone has a weaker side but you need some ability to both or you become too easy to defend. If you can't you'd better be a deadly shooter or play insane defense
Have to agree. Big turnoff how everyone's gone from we love this guy to he was an a-hole the whole time, making all these assumptions about his motivations based on next to nothing. He came to Miami and brought us championships. He treated us well. He said all the right things, he did all the right things, even with tremendous hate and criticism tossed his way near daily. He decided to go back home, and knew he always would. Maybe he could've told the Heat this a little sooner. I'm sure he had his reasons he didn't. Not into the whole butthurt scene on this one. Initially it looked like we were WAY better than Cleveland about all this...but apparently we just needed a little time to start inventing reasons to feel justified in hating LeBron. Like I said, big turnoff.
Stephenson would be huge, but can they afford him? I like Rush as a minimum guy with a little bit of upside as a shooter. Other guys I'd take a look at: Jordan Crawford Rodney Stuckey Jimmer Fredette Evan Turner Shawn Marion Xavier Henrey Kris Humphries
Well idk if you still have club, but if you do check Sections post. It confirms a major thing I posted here from my own sources that noone wanted to believe me on. I have no doubt he intentionally led on the organization because of prrsonal dislike for Riley. It just shows what type of person he is...and most people genuinely tend to dislike people who are "fake" so to speak. Of course we appreciate what he did here but it doesn't mean we have to like him. We all have great moments with our ex girlfriends but we generally turn that to dislike when they go behind our back with our friends. Its somewhat similar.
Of the available guys...if Stephenson is out of the question I'd definitely go after Rush and Okafor. Neither guy will light it up but would provide something to the team.
That is not fair. I said he was an ******* back in 2011. LOL. I am just backing up my reporting with the latest on this. Nothing here is massaged. All of this was reported when he was gonna "stay".
I think they're probably planning on taking Greg Oden back up since he practiced so heavily with the team all last year. Between Oden, Andersen and Hamilton I think they're pretty good there. I would think they'd focus on adding Brandon Rush and then reeling Haslem and Oden back in.
That's good for us actually. Weakens Indiana while not making Charlotte a true contender Though we're actually going to have to work for the division title for the first time in ages. Atlanta, Washington and Charlotte all pretty good
I'm wondering if Hamilton can be sent down to the D-League or overseas for one more year. I like what he brings but on the chance Oden goes down I'm not sure how comfortable I feel with Hamilton as the primary backup at C. Though I do like Hamilton and definitely wish to keep Oden.
Yeah but it's clearly one-sided. Everything gets painted to look like he's a sh-t human. You mean a superstar player butted heads from an ego standpoint with a superstar coach/general manager? WOOOOW! Who'da thunk that?!?! I mean seriously. I've heard NOTHING that withstands the test of objectivity when it comes to how it's being painted to look one way but could also be positioned another. Just let it go. He wants to be back in Cleveland. He probably always knew he would be back there some day, and he decided to make that happen now while he's still effective enough to potentially bring a championship back to them. But everyone's got to make this all complicated.
FWIW I don't think he's a **** human. I think he is too easily manipulated by people who should have no say in his decisions.
