Call...yes...right money and real interest? Probably not.

I am sure Riley told him.."hey Pau..we love your game...man..we don;t got that much money..but maybe we can help you on the back end...will you take 2 for 10?" Pau: "Thanks Riles...I love your city...thanks for your interest..but I think I am worth at least 10 a year...." Riley: "Ok Pau..thanks for listening."

I'm confident too because logic points to the big 3 coming back and them bringing in some solid parts around them, but LeBron is such a wild card that I won't breathe easy until it's done. I just really hope we hear SOMETHING soon because all of this is making me crazy.

Lebron wouldn't screw over Wade and Bosh like that...letting them opt out and lose multi millions if he planned on leaving would be a real dk move.

2 hour meeting in Dallas. Not much to discuss other than Carlisle being the 2nd best coach in the league. I pretty much figured that. It's either NY or Houston.

Heat spoke with Thabo Sefolosha today.

I think Riley read my Heat free agent wish list and is going in order.

2nd best coach in the league is shared with about 7 guys.

Dirk is still a badass, carlisle is a great coach, and Tyson is a familiar face and a good big. I think Chicago is more likely to pull him from NY though. If LaLa has any real talent she can do live theater.

The Heat lost a DAMN GOOD component today....

Charlotte has hired Pat Delany who was the coach of the Heat's D-League affiliate and was considered a guy that was on the fast track in the org to be head assistant as soon as Fizdale left for a job.....

Could this have been a piece of that trade on draft night? (Illegal..but maybe a handshake side deal?)

With Cole's at $2.12m, Hamilton's at $0.8m and add $3.5m in roster spot cap holds that leaves $6.5m in cap space.

I am surprised the Heat call Lance Stephenson because to me he's a selfish player.

Deng and Lowry will be out of that price range. Ariza is possible if Lebron takes less than max. I mentioned Spencer Hawes before because I thought he would be someone who could fit under the cap. Sefolosha makes sense if he shoots better from beyond the arc. Then there's Darren Collison, Kirk Hinrich, Steve Blake, Josh McRoberts and Jordan Hill.

Id take Stephenson on the condition he stops acting like a punk on the court. Seriously.

He's a talented kid for sure but his antics are just childish. It's like he thinks he's playing street ball or something.

Also if Stephenson and Ariza say no, Channing Frye should be next to call.

Exactly. Antics are okay to a point...but he crosses that line. I'm not foolish enough to say he can't be a great player if he reigns it in some though.

OKC's star players met with Pau in person today and Chicago is sending a team to meet with him tomorrow. Pretty sure that qualifies as actual interest from multiple teams when you combine those with Lakers meetings and the interest from San Antonio (which would be too perfect of a situation for him, in my opinion).

Boozer in Miami makes a LOT of sense if the Big Three come back like everyone expects.

This is untrue for two reasons:
One: Phil dont dance. Artificial knees and hips make dancing very very difficult
Two: Geppeto didnt have his Pinocchio ropes on Rose so he was unable to move.

I think theres a couple of things relating to Pau that people are missing...
The Knicks can sell him on the idea of being competitive in 2015 AND getting his brother and a chance to win a title together. There is a pre-existing relationship there with Phil obviously. He knows what Fisher is all about and the system the Knicks will run. In the last few years Pau has dealt with being the subject of constant trade rumors, dealing with crappy coaches (Brown and Antoni), and a different ownership situation than Papa Buss provided. On the last point Dolan isnt the strongest selling point but having some of the faces hes familiar with here in NY, I can see him saying "screw it" and chasing rings with Marc Gasol, Love, Melo, whoever is here going forward. Not saying it will happen but Im not eliminating it either. Any team with a good coach and a winning situation or that can offer the chance to play with his brother next year imo shouldnt be overlooked.

I think Dallas may have eliminated themselves with the Tyson trade. Melo and him butted heads a few times though it wasnt heavily reported. Now Dallas is Knicks West with Tyson and Felton and who again is their backcourt? That was the best part of the Tyson trade is basically knocked Dallas right out unless Dirk takes some ridiculously low salary and allows them to resign their own key FAs like VC, Marion, etc.

Houston, maybe LAL if they can pull in Lance and or a Greg Monroe or something to that effect to go with Kobe......those are the best bets imo to pry Melo from NYK.

Guess they realized Phil wasnt taking him back because once youre over the tax threshold you cant do S&T's the rest of the year and I forget how but it leaves you less flexibility on what you can take back in trades if youre a tax threshold team at the start of the year.

He'd make sense as a fall-back to Pau and Hawes.

Honestly, if the Heat strike out on the big names, if they add guys like Carter, Marion, Boozer, Williams, and Nelson they will still be much improved. I'd like to see them add a couple of younger parts as well, but those guys will give the Heat a better bench than they finished the season with.

also one other little note about the Tyson deal last week...NYK received a 3.6M trade exception as part of the deal. Thats useable in any trade....I dont believe it can be used in FA signings unless its a S&T which Knicks cant do after they resign Melo, if they resign Melo (they'll be over the tax threshold)

Boozer is interesting; 52% career shooter, 72% FT; no 3-game at all, though.

And, having been amnestied, he can afford to play cheap here.

You can sign boozer to a 2year, $6m per season and it'll be like he gets paid $16.8 this coming season and $12m next season. He should be all over that. Don't know if the Heat are interested in him though.

If he gets amnestied he goes through a waiver process. Highest bidder gets him. No bids mean he becomes a free agent.

He had his moments of playing like crap, don't think anyone wants to pay him 6m lol, just my opinion though, if it was up to me I would pay him in gatorade.

  40. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

They won't have to pay him 6 million. My guess is the highest a bid would be would be around 3 million and this happens AFTER July 10th, so a lot of these teams with money now, may not in about a week when he can be bid on.
