Not saying it's going to happen but how ridiculous would a dead eye scorer like Carmelo be in the Heat offense with Lebron distributing?

I think I'd have Lebron run more PG and have him distribute a bit more and score less. If he was getting 20 a game with 10 or so assists going to an offensive threat like Carmelo...good night

Part of what i was gonna post tmrw is that Arison is willing to pay around 30 to 50 million in tax per year (new tv deal coming)

Whi h would make them less committed than the BK mobster and Dolan..but more committed than everybody else. Which should make the league tremble.

Question is, if not Melo than who for Miami? I think with or without him we will be fine, but interesting to see what other additions we may make.

Yeah if Melo goes there then they should use Lebron as a PG and let him mess with some of Magic and Stocktons numbers. Ive always felt thats how he was best used and the strongest part of his game.

Kyle Lowry. And you shouldnt be upset if it thats your number 2 choice. Over the last 5 years I think only 5 or 6 players have had 30 points with him guarding the opposition and ya'll need another good defender.

Maybe but they were tuff, ruff and would kick your ***. I'll accept a "who's going to score case" but to act as if NY wouldn't have been the more physical team is ludicrous.

Yes..dont worry about Melo leaving. Riley and co. Are good about this and they still have melo mocked to the Knicks.

I gotta say Love to Golden State should be a done deal btw.

Oh, he is. There is now talk that we could still sign Melo and keep Parsons. Lin (Detroit) and Asik (Boston) would be traded. Melo or whomever would sign. Plus, we'd just re-up with Chandler. It would take us over the cap, but Alexander does not care about that. He wants a ring, pronto. And, we all know Morey doesn't give a damn. He wants stars.

Rudy Gay will opt in for his 19.3M payday.
Rockets could be after Ersan Ilyasova from Milwakee if no Carmelo.

    Per rotoworld.

IMO if he opts out then he is gone. I dont think Phil will want to resign him if it means he has to do it now. I think Phil will view it as selfish. I would bet the Heat over the Knicks at that point. Thats how gone I think he would be. Id be stunned if the Knicks kept him and as much as I love Melo Im not sure it would be prudent to do that anyway

IF you get Melo, Parsons should immediately be dealt for a better wing defender. Jeff green would be an amazing fit for ya'll and if Boston misses out on Love he will be available.

Similar player to parsons except not as athletic but better rebounder and defender (though thats still not a strong point). Milwakee wa in tank mode so his stats suffered some last year but hes a viable PF and can stretch the floor http://espn.go.com/nba/player/stats/_/id/2767/ersan-ilyasova

I can't say i disagree with that. Rondo would also be available according to rotoworld if Love doesnt go. Maybe Parsons and Asik for Green and Rondo? Who knows. In Morey we trust.

I never felt that way about Ilyasova but he does have talent. Cant say I completely fault him for not knowing who Ilyasova is since he was buried in Milwakee which may as well be Siberia.

Some players have that basketball sense and thats what I think is missing from Ilyasova. Talent is there. He reminds me of a more physical version of Hedo Turkoglu

I like Bev. I love his tenacity. We need more of it from everyone else. He'd be the best backup PG in the league. But skill-wise, he can't touch Rondo.

For the right price, I guess i'd be good with it. We need a PF with some size. I like T-Jones, but he gets dominated entirely too much. He should be a bench guy for us, not a starter.

IMO Rondo is the most overrated player in the league. Usually teammates LOVE guys that pass the ball but with Rondo you have guys calling him out for padding his assist stats at the cost of ball movement.

Whenever I hear arguments about how much tougher the league used to be I remember Jordan's famous game winner of Craig Ehlo. Craig ****ing Ehlo. Could you imagine what LeBron would do against a guy like that?

3 assists per game for a PG just doesn't float my boat. He also shot 41% from the field. He's not that much of a better shooter than Rondo. Both play defense. Difference is, Rondo knows how to make plays with his dribble. We need that to take some pressure of Harden, who had to play both PG and SG this past season.

For what you're paying Harden, he should be under more pressure, not less.

James Harden was 31st in the NBA in salary last year. The year before that he was 115th in salary. He made 3rd team all-nba at 23 years old. He made first team all-nba at 24 yrs old.
Think about that. The best SG in the game and we are getting him at a discount. lol.
Now, what does that say about the people who are making more than him?
