I would've had a great draft had you a-holes not BK'd me on nearly every friggin' pick. Couldn't imagine if an actual war room went like that. Be a lotta broken sh*t I would think.
I imagine we would have a lot more resources like medical reports, character evaluation, actual scouting department, player-team contact.
sweet, Seattle err I mean GM Todd just got his early 4th round center [Russell Bodine] of the future as a UDFA. 4th center taken. Booyah. Then grabbed the Seahawks real 2nd round RT Justin Britt as a FA. Double booyah.
Great draft everyone, this year has been really fun. Great job Paul dealing with all the drama. I hope everyone is planning their write ups!
I'm not. He has the same concern as what I said would make Allen Robinson fall- questionable hands [by way of smaller catch radius and too much of a body catcher]. You guys pay too much attention to what happens after the catch and not enough to what happens before it or while it's happening.
no sh*t eh. I got him for a reason though and that's b/c he's the second best interior pressure guy in the draft behind Aaron Donald, and that was my biggest need after losing Michael Bennett & Clinton McDonald. I figured I was over-drafting him, but I thought it was only by 10 spots or so. The biggest problem with him falling is b/c scouts said the same thing I did- that he's at his best inside and they'd want him adding 20 pounds and converting to a 3-tech. I don't need all that mess though. If Seattle likes Bennett enough to pay him 28.5M to be a sub-package interior rush specialist, then I figured it's worth a 1st rounder to replace that ability with even greater ability.
and the real Seahawks draft two players in the 4th round that I grabbed for them in the 6th and UDFA [Kevin Norwood & Kevin Pierre-Louis]. I had a write-up prepared for Pierre-Louis as I was about to take him in the 7th that said he eerily reminded me of the talented SB MVP Malcolm Smith when he was an undersized LB at Southern Cal which caused his draft stock to slip. Sub 4.5 guys with insane cone times (6.92, 7.04) who can cover, jump out of the building (39 vert), and display good strength for their size (28 bench). Thank you Paul for UFDA!! Justin Britt, 2.64 Russell Bodine, 4.111 Pierre-Louis, 4.132
ahem, Attaochu (50th). Love the pick regardless. You swiped [BK'd] 3 of my guys- Beckham at 18 before my 19th; Attaochu at 45 before my 46th; and then Brent Urban who I was trying to trade up for at the end of the 5th and then you snagged him at 5.159. Thankfully you didn't get the chance to nab Spencer Long, too. Kevin & Matt finished it off by taking Kyle Fuller at 24 before my 25, Niklas at 36 before my 37, and then Khyri Thornton in the 7th who I was trying to find an extra pick for b/c I thought he was such a late round steal that I refrained from talking about him in the draft thread so as to not tip my hand. Even sent CK a PM suggesting I thought he was the next Randy Starks. Actually, I kept quiet about Fuller & Niklas too b/c of how much I wanted them. Traded up 52 to 37 for him and then tried to trade up ahead of Boik at 36 but in a goddam draft where everyone wanted to trade down, I couldn't get any takers.
Well I didn't draft James White, he went about a round later. I can't believe McCullers is still available. I won by quite a few spots on Kirksey. Barrow within half a round, I'm happy on that. Shaw will be later and Wilder Jr may be an UDFA. I didn't expect to win on those.
My bad. but I'd take the -5 hit. Just glas OBJ didn't get taken and I figured Urban would be a nice addition to the D-Line.
Keith Reaser got drafted. Wish I took him. Still, four straight years of having players drafted from FAU is awesome.
Both my Coastal Carolina guys went 2 rounds earlier then I took them (6th and undrafted actually went in 4th and 6th).
I basically got all my guys either ahead or pretty darn close to where they went outside of Hageman/Tuitt who I took earlier cause I really wanted 3-4 ends and I knew others did to. If I had been able to convert Lane for a 5th like I wanted I would have had Lynch. Would have given me 3 Dolphins. Close though. Personal note of pride. I called out Aikens as my choice for Miami in the 4th a good 12 picks before it happened
Pretty much all my picks were on target (within 20 picks) except 3...Christian Jones, James Gayle and L'Damian Washington. Looks like IM better at this then GM's in real life 1.25 From New Orleans (Trade 19) 2.25M Dee Ford, OLB, Auburn 23 2.36 From Oakland (Trade 13) 900K Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame 52 2.50 From New Orleans (Trade 19) 900K Bishop Sankey, RB, Washington 54 3.67 From Oakland (Trade 13) 700k Phillip Gaines, CB, Rice 87 3.69 From New England (Trade 18) 700k Marcus Martin, C, USC 70 3.89 From SD (Trade 6) 700K Christian Jones, ILB, Florida State 3.95 From Tennesee (trade 2) 700k Will Sutton, DL, Arizona State 82 4.99 From Atlanta (Trade 4) 600k James Gayle, DE/OLB, Virginia Tech 6.C04 Pittsburgh Comp Pick 500k L'Damian Washington, WR, Missouri 7.C08 Pittsburgh Comp Pick, 450k Quincy Enunwa, WR, Nebraska Pick 209
Boik its not like we can predict a failed drug test. If Jones didn't fail that he likely would have been a 5th rounder. Not sure what the deal was with Gayle. Gayle was better than a lot of guys picked ahead of him. Here is my draft and PS for the Dolphins in the other GML It still stings. I have to stop going after guys with character issues and Potential over skill.
Only one guy not drafted, but that's expected with a basketball player with no football experience. Woot Erik Swoope.

I'm so good, GMs compare there drafts to my GML one. In all seriousness, it's fun to compare but irrelevant for obvious reasons.
I'm ok with my draft even though you guys BK'd me left and right. I'm most annoyed by trying to get too cute/greedy at 6.187 by passing on Khyri Thornton thinking I'd still get him in the 7th. 1.11_Aaron Donald (1.13) 1.19_Kony Ealy (2.60) 1.25_Bradley Roby (1.31) 2.46_Carlos Hyde (2.56) 2.55 _Cody Latimore (2.57) 6.165_Aaron Colvin, CB, Oklahoma (4.114) 6.169_Kevin Norwood, WR, Bama (4.123) 6.187_Antone Exum, FS/CB, Virginia Tech (6.182) 7.C04 _Ben Gardner, DE, Stanford (7.231) UDFA_Justin Britt, OT, Vandy (2.64) UDFA_Russell Bodine, C, UNC (4.111) UDFA_Kevin Pierre-Louis, LB, BC (4.132)
Cant believe I was the only one to claim him. I contemplated drafting him a few times but didn't have enough picks to grab all the late rounders I wanted.
bet you thought you were getting good value with Loston in the 4th. Your Buffalo draft doesn't look bad.
