I'm not saying he is an implausible selection, but the circumstances of this being leaked or "leaked" is important.
Normally I'd agree, but he does possess pretty much everything the team looks for. He's athletic, versatile, a hard worker, a leader and he's at a position of need.
Huh? I agree with your premise that high profile WRs on the Dolphins get far more blame than they deserve because most Dolfans don't want to put the blame where it really belongs - on the quarterbacks, because everybody knows it's much harder to find a legit franchise QB than a WR, so they'd rather replace and put the blame on the WR than on the "franchise hopeful" QB. But I don't get where he did anything more in Carolina last year than what he did with the Dolphins. And as you mention, he could barely even get on the field on offense with the 49ers. The 49ers who have been struggling to find playmakers on offense to go along with their defense and running game the entire time Ginn was on the team. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/10453/ted-ginn I see Ginn like I see Jason Allen. They were both okay players. The problem was they were run out of Miami because they were drafted too high. If Ginn were a 2nd round pick, he'd never have been traded. But he was the 9th overall pick who was supposed to be our #1 WR, not our 3rd or 4th receiver. After getting released, Jason Allen has started for playoff teams. He wasn't good enough even to be our 6th DB? I'm not defending him, I didn't think he was the best pick at #19. But he was brought in to be our Eric Berry or Earl Thomas. Somebody who can play safety, be the QB of the defense, and also allow us to stay in our base personnel by being able to shift over to cover receivers if necessary. He never lived up to that, couldn't find a position on our team between safety and corner and then we released him even after he lead the team in INTs. They're both players that, if on the roster today, would make this team better. But they're also both players that never lived up to their draft position or the hype surrounding why we drafted them. So they're both disappointments to us. To the Panthers, Ted Ginn was a nice FA pickup. To the Texans and the Bengals, Jason Allen was a nice FA pickup. http://www.nfl.com/player/jasonallen/2495794/careerstats
Jason Allen wouldn't want to be on this team, it would mean he would have to deal with his insecurities.. Getting beat by Wallace as bad as he did that one hot day in Miami completely shattered his confidence, I really think he was pretty much shot after that, I know it's the day I moved on.
