Played huge for Indiana.Is a great shooter. Could be Kapono like but better.

 

yep, hes fundamentally sound everywhere, i knew he was going to miami he's from there, lives there, went to college there..there was a rumor that he opted out cuz he was already offered 5 year 25 million......i wonder if miami signed that i doubt it cuz he wouldn't have waited this long to accept that offer

 

james jones is a good defender, GREAT 3pt shooter, does little things to win basketball games, outstanding shooter from the corners...needs to stay healthy, he did have some injury problems last year but was second in 3pt % i think in the league..he's a sharp shooter

 

I dont know if its just his personality or what, but he doesnt play with much passion sometimes.

 

not what i saw from portland, he doesn't leave his emotions on his sleeve but i think plays with passion..

 

yep, 3 point shooters are always fan favorites...plus he sorta looks like a ninja turtle

This is a great start and he would belong to our eventual championship contending core of 9.

 

I believe it was he was asking for that and everyone refused to pay him that because they didn't believe he was worth it.

I think its a good sign for Miami. He's a good player. Always loved him in PHX.

 

Surprised that he ended up with ORL. I think he had seven different suitors.

 

Yeah, I think Felix and KiNG explained it best. Peitrus is a good three point shooter with athleticism. The guy can run the floor well. When he got the PT in GS, he played well. Finishes with dunks around the hoop from what I can remember. Overall, I think you guys will have a solid pickup in him. One thing I am not sure about is his defense. Hopefully someone else can elaborate on that. You'll be happy with him imo.

Lol, sweet. Like I said, I wasn't too sure of his defense as they didn't display much of it in GS. Above is some clips of defensive plays and strong finishes as stated.

 

Wonder how much they give him. My guess is around $21 million.

I think he will be a good player for you guys. One big reason is that he will be home.

 

I read that he WANTED that contract but no one gave it to him. He got $5 million less (total) from Miami if that source provides to be true. I believe Portland was looking to re-sign Jones but after he asked for that contract, they backed away.

Either way, hes a proud Heat player now.

 

Maybe. I heard Bobcats might be looking to move Felton. Monta Ellis is available in a S&T deal. Who else is out there?

 

James Jones baby, what a huge signing. Takes Ricky Davis's place and provides that guy off the bench we've been missing since Kapono and Posey left.

Wonder what out starting line up will be looking like this year.

Yeah, hes a very talented player but was not used as much as he should have been in GS. It's a good pickup.

 

No way we resing him. He is such a waste of talent. He's kind of like Walker in the sense that he just doesnt fit in to anyones scheme, he just does his own thing. And he will probably have the same kind of career Walker has had. 20 teams in 10 yrs.

 

Walker is this generations Tony Massenburg.
